Hate the feeling of trying to enjoy myself amongst the huge homeless population. Great place for pickleball but court needs a paint touch up. Enough room and plenty of players to line another court on the concrete off from the stage as well.
Deborah Anderson: ★★★★★
Great place for kids birthday party. Near beach, basketball court and skating park
Monique H.: ★★★★★
Nice park plenty of fun for the kids, basketball court, skate park for scooters, skateboard and skates.... grass area plenty of shade ... Playground: Sea saw, rope climbing, merry go round, swings, jungle gym. Restrooms: Bathroom are 🤢 Gross due to the homeless people using them. Dog-friendliness: Dogs on the grassy area. Picnic area: On the grassy and or there is one plubic picnic table
Jennifer Griggs: ★★★★★

Great spot for a picnic in the park. Amazing ocean views, large grassy areas, basketball courts, playground, stage, skatepark. Usually not too sketchy and very quiet. Great low key spot to hang out with friends or have a cute picnic date. Yoga and farmers market every week. Playground: Moderately sized, wood chip ground. Restrooms: Plenty of gender neutral bathrooms. Dog-friendliness: Dogs allowed on a leash. Picnic area: Tables, grassy areas for a blanket
Eric McCray: ★★★★★
Nice place to go, you have the park up the hill and you have the beach down below. There's also basketball courts and a new playground area for the kids.
Amy Smet: ★★★★★
Cutest farmer’s market on Saturday with live music and several lively activities happening. All with an easy stroll to the wide beach and the LB Art museum next door. Fun!
Britney Page: ★★★★
Very nice park for the entire family to enjoy. There are tables, a playground, skating area and lots of grass for picnics or play. And every Saturday a farmer's market is held. Very nice park.

One of my go to parks in Long Beach. Dog friendly as they have a dog park and every Saturday there is the farmers market! Playground: Kid area for ages 12 and under. Restrooms: Open restrooms. Dog-friendliness: Dog park there and everyone brings there dogs to the farmers market. Picnic area: A lot of free tables and you can set up your own tent
Jannel Angstman: ★★★★
Nice park that offers farmers markets twice a week and yoga everyday. The bathrooms are scary though...

Angie B: ★★★★
Went to the farmers market on Saturday. Was a small and simple farmer market with good food.
Donovan Mueller: ★★★★
They have a really nice Farmers market on Sunday with live music. The park itself though is very small and so is the farmer's market.
Auzzie beagle: ★★★★★
My favorite park in long beach... possibly all of LA! There is always something going on (Farmers market, mini ninja training lol or karate whatever 😂 and a massive fenced in playground for the little ones plus a skatepark that always seems to be putting off the right kind of vibes and influence towards motivation and togetherness instead of clowning each other and aggressively competing
Richard Sparks: ★★★★
Farmers market 10am-2pm saturday, 3pm-7pm tuesday. On street parking, can get a bit crowded. Good options for fresh fruit and veggies. Play area for kids.
Jorge Rivera: ★★★★
Park is okay. A lot of homeless people are often seen. Parking is not the easiest to find. What makes up for it is the farmers market that is there a few times a week. I went on a saterday and the food was great. Another plus is that they updated the playground and added a small dog park. The skatepark, I believe, is still unchanged. Playground: New and Redesigned. Dog-friendliness: Small park. Great for small pets. No grass inside the dog park.

Long Beach encapsulated in one place. You never know what you might see. Has a playground, skatepark, basketball courts, picnic tables and workout stations. The litter is a problem and the bathrooms are horrendous.
Phil Simmons: ★★★
Bixby Park is a medium sized Park located in the center of town on the beach, or just above that is. There you can find lots of amenities to keep yourself busy including a dog park for large and small dogs, a nice fountain-like area where you can sit and read, a wooded area with shade where you can lay out a blanket, or even a skatepark where you can hit a fakie impossible over a fire hydrant. Much like a lot of other places in Long Beach there seems to be a reoccurring theme or shall I see an air of disdain for the homeless. In this case up until recently the bathrooms had been closed for months leaving you with no other option to relieve yourself other than to walk moderate distance and down a switchback to the beach to use the disgusting Beach bathrooms. Luckily this has since changed and the restrooms have been reopened. Now Monday through Friday you can have a good time with the entire family with a newly renovated playground and basketball courts available to use with it only being a little more crowded on the weekends. There is a farmer's market once a week with venders and food available. I only wish that they hadn't removed all the barbecues in the park not to mention the rest of the city as well.

I used to love this park but a lot has changed over the years. It used to be extremely clean and safe no matter the time of day. Now there’s far too many mentally unstable people (Men and Women) walking the area. People will literally be a few feet away from the trash cans, and still toss all of their trash out on the ground. The restrooms are ALWAYS destroyed and graffiti is EVERYWHERE!!! I live a few blocks up the street and workout every morning so I also pass by every day. The street sweeper comes by once a week but can’t keep up with all of the trash that people leave behind. The only days the park is at its cleanest is on Saturday and Tuesday because that’s when they host the Farmers Markets so most of the time, someone comes to make sure it’s not a wreck those days.
Elizabeth Luna: ★★★
Kiddie park available for smaller children, designated parking, dog friendly, and farmers markets periodically. The only thing are the transient community, which is growing a lot.
Sederick Cowart: ★★★
Can't bring your dog to the farmers market. Pretty lame since there is a dog park at this park.
Michael Granillo: ★★★
Quiet little Park that has a farmers Market on Saturday and now includes an awesome Dog Park 🐕

Parking is a bit tough. I went here on a farmers market night. It's a mix of pee, weed and bum stink. Lots of non bathing people and drug users openly doing their thing. It is sad kids can't really play safely.
Cristian Baumann: ★
Unsafe place during the nights! thieves break into cars parked. Don’t park in this area!
Aleksander Salajczyk: ★
South of Ocean Blvd has an amazing view but traffic noise is terrible. The rest of it is not quite safe. Definitely you can't send a child alone. Some call it Needle Park referring to drug use. I thought it was an exaggeration until I noticed the Red Medical Sharps Needle Collection container size of washer or dryer on the side of the community center building. Make you think. Most cars and vans parked in the park are occupied by our unhoused neighbours aka homeless. Playground: Playground is quite elaborate and fenced from the rest of the park. Restrooms: Restrooms are quite disgusting. Dog-friendliness: Fenced dog park

This park had so much potential, it has BBQs, a huge grassy area with beautiful trees, a farmers market and its right by the beach. But don't be fooled the last time I came here with my 4 year old daughter two ladies started yelling and cussing a foot away from children and I just had to leave before it escalated. People smoking crack in broad day light by the bathrooms, a parent telling me there was a man who tried to coax a little girl into his car, regular police arrests, children with no parents being violent or stealing made me give up on this place. Don't make the mistake I did, I've even called the cops when people were smoking crack and they never came.

Is so sad how this park was one of the best in Long Beach... Now it has been taken over by homeless people. Sad state of affairs
Chris: ★
wouldnt go here any time near sundown, I did, got mugged, stabbed and almost was killed. They even tried to kill my pet that I was with at the time.
Monica Arreola: ★
This park should called homeless park. Theirs alot of homeless camping around the park
STEBJIN (iPingMozambs): ★
No available restrooms. Main restrooms facilities are fenced off, single portapotty is locked and smells as if it hasn't been cleaned or even opened in weeks.
