Played pickleball at fireman's Pavilion. Fortuna is "the friendly city". They truly do live up to the name. I have never visited a friendlier place.
M Savage: ★★★★★
Great place for the kids to learn to skate.
Machinima DECENDENTX: ★★★★★
Fast and fun. Padding helps for falls and most people can learn to skate their first day. Highly recommend checking when it is available and make a date out of it!
Humboldt Honney: ★★★★★

Rohner Park is a very nicely maintained park. It has numerous good features...playground, tennis court, basketball, baseball and indoor roller skating rink. Lots to do!
blackberry bramble: ★★★★★
One of my favorite parks any where. It really has it all: 2 outdoor play areas, one for littles and one for bigger kids, large grassy areas, lots of trees, hiking trails, rodeo grounds with huge grandstand bleachers, barbeque area, several baseball fields including Babe Ruth field with lights, horseshoe area, basket ball court, many tables in picnic area, covered picnic area, full kitchen plus bbq for rent for private events, public restrooms, and a skating rink. Plus the Depot Museum is there and the train car is also fun for kids to check out. Always clean and well maintained
Neena Olson: ★★★★★
Rohner Park is like a step back in time - a BEAUTIFUL old park with huge trees, lots of walking on paths and wooded trails, a skating rink, lovely museum, fun play areas, sports fields, picnic areas. Truly a special place.
Linda Bartleson: ★★★★
A nice, well kept, small town park. Attractions include the original Fortuna train depot, which was relocated to the park to serve as a historical museum. Full of fun and informative information about the people and places from Fortuna's past. Don't forget to blow the train whistle! The park also hosts a community center, skating rink, rodeo grounds, hiking trails and a picnic/barbecue area, Great for both large and small parties. Playgrounds for both small and larger children. The park is also home to our league baseball teams.
Karen Rosenberg: ★★★★★
Great small town park. Year round it is used for community activities. Nice playground for children with bbq and tables near by. Even a real roller skating rink . Train museum/gift shop also. Lots to learn about in Fortuna, CA.

Kid friendly playground, skating rink, and railroad museum.
Brian Dukes: ★★★★★
This beautiful park is conveniently located near the heart of Fortuna, just off Main Street. The park is decent in size and robust in its facility offerings. As an indoor and outdoor sports complex, the park is perfect for the sports enthusiast. It has multiple sports covered with batting cages, baseball fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, and more. For those looking to just have fun in the sun or to enjoy the outdoors with friends, families, or groups, the park has picnic and playground areas. It is a clean, well managed, and safe place that should be on everyone's summertime places to go.
Kathryn Tikkanen: ★★★★★
Always a nice park to walk around and through with our dogs. Lots of picnic options, tables, bathrooms, water fountains including a dog fountain on the back side, brand new basketball courts, two playgrounds, and hiking trails through the redwoods. When the rodeo grounds aren't being used you can walk through there and do some stairs in the bleachers. There is even a nice little museum, and a train car you can walk through. We go there often and have always had good experiences. Restrooms: Open daily as far as I know. Clean and well maintained. Dog-friendliness: On leash of course, but doggie poop bags are available and even a dog water fountain on the back side. Lots of other nice dog folks walk around this park also. Picnic area: A large amount of picnic tables in the center, as well as a covered area with some big BBQ areas. I believe there are some parts that can be reserved/rented, probably for a small fee. There are additional picnic tables around the park, and big lawns for blanket picnics.
A Moli: ★★★★★
A delightful, clean park with a fenced toddler playground, an adolescent playground with water fountains, and lovely Redwood walking trails at the northeast end. The park includes an abundance of picnic tables (although they are quite close to each other for large community events), basketball court, rodeo grounds, and community building. Plenty of parking, a selectively open tiny train museum, and bathrooms as well!
Serena Giordano: ★★★★★
Great park! Offers two play grounds, one is for young ones that is also fenced. There's a bunch of great trail systems in the redwoods too for walking or biking. They have a rodeo area for summer shows and an old train depot museum. There's also basketball courts and a nice flat paved road for kids learning to bike or skate that's great. Also clean bathrooms!
Desirae Inman: ★★★★
Beautiful hiking trails among second growth, approximately 2 miles in length. Rodeo grounds, picnic benches, horseshoe pits, basketball courts and two exciting playgrounds meet the needs of all ages. Check out the Depot Museum or rent one of the facilities for a party, including a skating rink. A gem of a part for a small town, for sure.
Ryan Daniel Robertson: ★★★★★
nice friendly park access to trails and new basketball court. skating rink, baseball fields, rodeo grounds is all nice. Picnic area: lots of tables
Amber Cordrey: ★★★★★
Beautiful hiking trails, fun park for the kids, basketball courts, baseball fields, skating rink on Saturday and Sundays, and much more. LOVE THIS PLACE. Playground: 2 separate play areas for different ages. A large open grass area that can be used for running, volleyball, frisbee, bounce houses, etc. Restrooms: Very close to picnic area as well as hiking trails, playgrounds, basketball courts and baseball fields. Has a water station for filling larger bottles, and 2 different heights water fountains. Dog-friendliness: Dogs are welcome but are required to be on leash. Depending on what’s happening in the park, you can take your dog and throw a frisbee or ball and no one will say anything as long as your dog is supervised. They don’t want dogs just roaming and causing problems. Clean up after your dog and they won’t really bug you. Picnic area: Clean, Bbq area, kitchen building available through the park office, fire pit under the covered picnic area
L H: ★★★★★
Great for little ones, has a fenced in play area for them, and a larger unfenced play area for older kids. Baseball feilds, basketball court, horse shoe pits, and BBQing areas.
Garrett Mayberry: ★★★★★
I go there often and its always a fun adventure with hiking trails, a basketball court, baseball fields, and a playground!

Trevor Hartman: ★★★
This is an easily accessible park right in the small town of Fortuna, CA. It has recreation for kids and adults with easy access to some shorter redwood trails. However, its so close to the gun range you'll often hear the echo of gunfire nearby, which certainly detracts from the tranquility of being in the redwoods. For a better, similar community park I'd recommend taking a short drive to Arcata Community Park instead.
Bill Rayvan: ★★★
Got there just as the sun started peeking through the darkness ... The main parking lot was available to public the rest was still closed ... At a glance I could see it's a well laid out park covering a vast spectrum of interest ... Plan on going back later to enjoy this park with my dog ... Burn some beef and have a nice relaxing day there ...
California Expat: ★★★
Nice little park to enjoy an afternoon... almost feels abandoned at times during the week
Negative Reviews:
Emily Evans: ★
Extremely long lines, slow check-in process, credit card machine almost always “down”, walkers constantly being used like toys without any safety boundaries enforced by staff. Probably best to stick to Blue Lake Rink until they get things sorted out here.
Tucker Calhoun: ★
Could really use a credit card machine. And maybe some more check in staff? My daughter and I drove 20 mins to come skate and then waited 30 mins in line only to be turned away because their machine was down. Super disappointing. We weren’t even very far back in line. Others I’m sure waited over an hour. For a place that’s only open for 3 hours, it is insane to make people wait out in the cold for that long. Also, if you’re there on a slow day, we’ve had them shut the place down early and make everyone leave without a partial refund. Staff has always been nice, but seems like management is incompetent.
Pimpi Gaygay: ★
The park employees act like they are cops. I did a couple donuts in an empty parking lot and he tried to run into my car with the city park truck. Like dude what you did was way more dangerous than me doing a couple donuts going 25 miles and hour.
