An upscale quality sports complex, this place is super in amenities and meticulous in maintenance! Thanks to Amber, Josie and staff for a great job helping to keep things going here and at the park. Their exuberance is appreciated! The building is located on the backside of Grivalja Park, beyond the outside of the basketball courts. There’s plenty of parking at the front of the building.
Steve J. Ceballos: ★★★★★
A very nice and large building surrounded by a vast park. Very impressive site for our basketball tournament.

Great space. Very open. Good for walks and runs. Some BBQ grills and restrooms for public use. Few tables and sitting areas.
Gene Lawson: ★★★★★
This park is relatively new as parks go, dating to the late 90's. So all of the fixtures and buildings are modern. It has a very large green athletic field, ample parking and gravel / dirt walking, jogging & biking paths that go either around the field or split off through a green belt on the far side of the main entrance. Rest rooms are close by the main entrance. I don't know much about the Sports Center building at the back of the park, but I've read it has a full size indoor basketball court. The building is quite nice and the surrounding landscaping is striking! There is also a path that parallels the Santiago Creek with a pleasant view. A biking trail starts just past the park but connects all the way over to Hart park on the edge of Old Town Orange! Great place for kids with a wonderful playground, a sand volleyball court, plenty of cast iron charcoal barbecue grills (bring your own cleaning utensils and briquettes). There all always people about and it's clean and feels safe. It's also "dog friendly" so you don't have to leave the pooch behind!
Matthew Todd: ★★★★★
Phenomenal park with huge open field for sports and basketball courts. Also has a small area with exercise equipment for adults.
Luis enrique Bernal: ★★★★
They have awesome basketball courts, they have a big grass field, a creek with a bridge, jungle gyms, lots of parking, a canopy area and a dirt patch where you can ride a dirt bike.👍
Ronald Jones: ★★★★★
Multiple basketball courts and a nice walking trail, outdoor workout equipment under a shaded area, and plenty of open land. Playground: Nice play options for the little ones.
Oscar Maldonado: ★★★★★

Stephanie Ko: ★★★★★
Nice clean park that’s great for kids. 2 playgrounds with shade. Plenty of picnic tables. Basketball courts, huge grass field for soccer, and gym work out area.
David Chung: ★★★★★
Clean bathrooms, wonderful play area for kiddos. Dirt track for walking. Basketball courts and there are always some people playing instruments in the northwest corner for some reason.
Gal Oso: ★★★★★
I feel very safe anytime of the day. It sits adjacent to the riverbed, so you can ride your bike for miles in both direction. It has a kids playground, basketball courts, outdoor gym, and a few picnic areas. Restrooms: Always stocked and clean.
nancy stricklin: ★★★★★
We go to this park almost every Tuesday evening. It has a good walking trail, basketball courts, and volleyball area. Our group always has a good time there!
Joshua Almodovar: ★★★★★
I lived next to this park for several years and most of that was during the pandemic. This park was one of the few outlets during that time. If you play Pokémon go this park is amazing tons of stops and it has a walking tack that if you do laps will help with hatching eggs and keeping accurate distance with it. As a park it has a lot of great park things there are also a trail that links into the riverbed and to further adventures into the other local parks and connects it to even the main place mall. If you go the opposite direction you wind up going a trail that takes you under the street and you will find yourself at the local water reservoir across the street the park which has a walking trail that you can take up into the hills. There is a especially pretty place in the river bed trail just behind that park that has a stone circle around a great tree that is a wonderful place to meditate in the busy city and feel like you are away and connect nature. Playground: Great play area for kids and an outside gym that’s great adults. Restrooms: Wish there was another set, there are two one in the front by the street and one in the back in the gymnasium but that isn’t always open, so if isn’t open it makes using the bathroom awkward. Dog-friendliness: I have seen many dogs here people often use the track to walk them and track laps. Picnic area: Mana places to sit and eat
gretchen benedettini: ★★★★★
Beautiful park and great walk /jog path. Outdoor workout area and attaches to bike trails also river bed so longer walks or bike ride options too.
Psychobillynerd: ★★★★★
Great exercise machine section at the end of entrance, unlike most parks it has shade and everything looks/feels well kept. There's a nice sports center/arena if you wrap all the way around but I've never attended an official event. There's a small beautiful hidden hiking trial down by the river bed, just walk off the paved area by sports center and follow the running water.
Jacob Baker: ★★★★★
A grand free and enjoyable park with a nice connection to the riverbed for hiking and cycling to other parks or the sea. Further there is a surprising small to nonexistent homeless population. There is also a sports center on sight with bathrooms and a gymnasium for some activities like basketball.
Jesus Hernandez: ★★★★
There is a gym and a playground, they are pretty good. Also it has has easy access to a bike trail. Restroom are not always clean though.
BABYSMUCKERS ホ777ホ (BBUK): ★★★★★
Really great park. Love to walk around and love to use the restroom and love to see the beautiful women walk around, because I can. Playground:It's fun, just be careful if your kid cries when falls and if your kid loves to run far away just don't cry if your kid never comes back. So please have a place for your kids to go if they start to run or feel like going to the trusty stater bros down the street or gas station. Restrooms: Super Chill. Dog-friendliness: Do not let your dogs of the leash. If trained; understandable, but don't let Dog CPS take your dogs away. Picnic area: Nice to chill on a Sunday Afternoon.
Tabitha Aguilar: ★★★★★
Really nice park. Clean and has public bathrooms with lots of seating for picnics.
Antonio Neves: ★★★★★
Great park with a nice playground. Public restrooms and tables.
Ricardo Acosta: ★★★★★
Best Park in Orange. Lots of different activities for everyone in the family. From a big soccer field, gym equipment, playground, sand volleyball, restroom, and picnic areas.
Alheli Juarez: ★★★★★
As always nice and clean. Fully stocked restrooms. Plenty of parking. Awesome shade to sit under while kids play. Many more kids at playground now.
Denise Kay: ★★★★★
This is a large Park with plenty of parking. Enough space for you to set up on the lawn and have some privacy and dogs are allowed on leash! Woof Woof! They have a nice restroom and some tables outside the restrooms. A couple of gazebo areas with permanent picnic table and benches, at each end of the huge lawn. A play area for kids. Just a few trees scattered around the property for some shade. A very clean well maintained park. Oh! A walking track around the whole perimeter is very popular. They open at 5:00 a.m. and I think 11:00 p.m. is closing. Top list of my parks for sure.
Soledad Weaver: ★★★★
We were having a family repast. The park was very soothing. The ccx restrooms were clean as well.⚘⚘⚘
Ariadna Espinoza: ★★★★

It's ok for walking around the park and excercising on the gym setup they have. Bathrooms are clean. A few BBQ grills. I think there are two. One area has a sink next to the tables with shade under a roof. Park leads to a trail that goes to Chapman St. Dog park (not official name). Also leads to Hart Park in Santa Ana. Has a basketball court. Not alot of competition like El Camino Real park.
Ariane Movius: ★★★
I really liked this place a lot but then i started noticing a lot of creepers pointing phones at me and my kids. I dont bring my kids here anymore! Way too many creepers! Great place to work out for free though, upkeep is good. Parents! Get your kids off the workout equipment and take them to the playground! Damn.clean restrooms pixnic areas dog friendly
Russell J Lindblom: ★★★
This is a great park but the green field floods during rain. lots of parking including handicapped. clean restrooms no homeless.
Gina J: ★★★
The Orange Police need to do more to make sure that it's Parks don't end up like Santa Ana's Parks the other day I was walking by a van at Handy Park and noticed that there was drug dealing going on in it. I noticed syringes on the ground at this park. Parks are supposed to be for families and for kids to play in and for youth to stay out of trouble it's not supposed to be a place where prostitutes can turn tricks or people can buy drugs or whatever.
Ariane Movius: ★★★
This is a nice way park but very crowded! I went on a weekday evening thinking I would take a leisurely walk around the park a few times and it was swamped with people. To be honest, because it was so crowded it wasn’t very relaxing so I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for a quiet park to relax at.

Here for soccer- parking seems adequate, but I'm here on a not so busy Sunday. Fields are patchy, goals are the light weight practice kind. Lots of shade and a nice playground.
Joel Card: ★★★
Who the hell designed this park? Must be a newby. Walking and jogging path! Hot and sunny! One park bench under some trees! That's, one park bench under some trees. The kids playground is conveniently located near a large busy road. The really neat sports building is located in the very back part of the park. Actually the rear of the building is located near the Santiago creek bike trail and a bridge to channel locals and homeless to the rear of the building attracting vandals to destroy the very same building. This is all evidenced by reading the signs in back stating so! Yes they have problems and have to have cameras monitoring the area. All in all, I guess it's ok. Hart park is more what I think of when you say park. Or Hillcrest in fullerton. Whom ever was responsible for designing this park, got it backwards! It's going to cost the city more now to deal with this. Hopefully the responsible parties were dealt with correctly!
Brian Montgomery: ★★★
Very nice park but NO shade whatsoever and it's super packed. Good for large parties but not much else.
Cortni Mishal: ★★★
Close parking and lots of playground levels for the kids. Great place to do birthday parties and other events. The bathrooms however are filthy and I know park bathrooms are scary but this is the worst I have seen.
Sarah Krstich: ★★★
Great park and facilities are well kept, but can get sketchy after the sunset, needs nightly security presence before it gets worse.
Russell J Lindblom: ★★★
This is a great park but the green field floods during rain. lots of parking including handicapped. clean restrooms no homeless.
Negative Reviews:
Joseph Toelkes: ★
Poorly maintained soccer fields, muddy year round.
Brandon Cook: ★
The quality of the pitch is mediocre at best. It's easy to get in but extremely slow to get out thanks to the single traffic light.
Maya Milan: ★
Clean park, but there is no shade for the kids playground and it gets super hot for the kids to play
David Aldrich: ★
Turns out, it's against City of Orange ordinances to fly foam rc airplanes. Or throw a football.
Mauro Saavedra: ★
The condition of the grass is terrible.
Robin Utley: ★★
It's a new park so equipment and landscaping is all in rather good condition. Definitely prioritises the sports field and workout facilities over other amenities. I would rate the Park higher except the quality of the trees and shade is remarkably poor. It seems like every single park bench it was purposely placed directly in the sun. Trees seem to be purposefully chosen for stubby or short attributes. The result is 98% of the park is unshaded. If they plant decent trees now the park would be wonderful in 15 years. Ultimately the park is beautiful clean and inhospitable in hot weather, bring your sunscreen and umbrellas.
B E: ★★
The soccer fields are patchy, bumpy, and irregular in grass length. Would not choose to play here or pay to play here
Paul Lyons: ★★
huge field that is usually in horrible shape. Parking is very difficult and trying to get out is a joke
