Best Tennis courts in Huntington Park, Los Angeles County for 2026

Salt Lake Park in Huntington Park

5 public tennis courts with lights. Park has basketball courts, tennis courts, soccer fields, some workout stations and baseball diamonds. Snack bars are no longer available. Restroom is available between 10 am to 7 pm. Lights turn off at 10 pm. You must continually press the lights button yourself at the tennis courts because they don’t stay on. The fourth tennis court does not have a net and the shadows from the trees are extremely bothersome in the morning. Tennis courts are pretty good and the lights at night are some of the best ones around.

Fun family and friends park, basketball, volleyball, tennis. Active park, I say family because friends have become family. I'd recommend it and its patrolled by R2D2 Police robot keeping us protected and safe but idk from what but love going here on the weekends

My friends and I love Salt Lake Park! This place is huge & there's tons of stuff to do here (skatepark, volleyball, baseball, playground, tennis courts, basketball, soccer, a trail and even some workout stuff). It's nice to just hang out here and feel the breeze. The palm trees are beautiful and add to the warm feel. There's always park rangers and police here, so you normally don't have to worry about your safety. It isn't necessarily a dog park, but I see people with dogs here all the time walking along the trail. Very clean park too. Do not let the neighborhood fool you. You'll be fine. A few lights from the blue line and the Pacific Avenue stores. There's also carnivals and other festivities often!
Doa Al: ★★★★★
Really nice park with lots of activities to do such as basketball tennis soccer etc. there’s also a splash pad kids. Lots of bunches and seating area and beautiful views.
Rachel Aguilar: ★★★★
Okay so this park has a lot of great features such as basketball courts, playgrounds and tennis courts. They have a giant soccer field and some baseball fields across the way. The only downside is that there are some homeless people there and people don't take care of keeping the restrooms clean. Overall though I go every night to walk around their track and I enjoy it. I feel safe for the most part but I wouldn't go past 10.

Been coming here since I was a kid. It used to be better when they had an actual playground. Now all they have is basketball courts, tennis courts, soccer fields, some workout stations and baseball diamonds. Snack bars are no longer available. Still enjoy coming here even though there's an empty field that has not permitted entry. ⛔ Restrooms: Restroom is available between 10am to 7pm I believe. Dog-friendliness: Dogs are not permitted but I've seen many people walking their dogs on a leash in the park. Picnic area: Picnic areas are available throughout the park and you can bring charcoal to use the parks grills.

Great Park to take a walk, it has basketball and tennis courts. Lots of nice trees. And every Wednesday there a Farmers market from early morning until 1:00pm. With great organic fresh fruit and vegetables. There's also great food to eat, very tasty tacos, pupusas, gorditas and more.

This place is cool. It has a few amenities that would benefit the community, like soccer fields, basketball & tennis courts, workout equipment, and a little dirt path to run on. All that woukd be super cool, if it weren't for all the dumb @$$es smoking weed through out the park.
Pedro D.: ★★★★★
Park is well lit at night and very secure. There are tennis courts, basketball courts, children playgrounds and a great perimeter to run around. The Huntington Park police does a great job of keeping it safe and they are always cruising by.

Haven't been here since 2009 but it's extremely noticeable on how much it has improved. If you happen to love playing baseball or tennis I suggest to come here since the park is usually busy with people using the basketball courts and soccer field.
Rony C: ★★★★
Very nice and large park, clean and well maintained. Not so dog friendly (sign says no dogs allowed) but still played ball with my pooch in the tennis court.

Salt lake park is a nice peaceful place to unwind relax great for picnics family gathetings and sports which include soccer field volley ball ,basket ball and baseball fields wich also has tennis courts. Great for barbecue's since they have grills you can use thoughout the park. A very safe family oriented place. I didnt like the dirty restrooms and the fact that the mens urinos are visible to anyone passing by no privacy or wall wich means that a passer by.
Rafael Ortiz: ★★★★★
Great family park during the day. There's a baseball field, basketball courts, inside volleyball & outside volleyball courts, tennis courts, and a skating rink. Might not want to be around for the uncertainties of the night.
Lacky L: ★★★★★
Great park. Very clean and a great place to go play outdoor volleyball, basketball, and tennis.
Bianca Edith: ★★★★★
There's a baseball field, soccer field, basketball court, tennis courts, swimming pool and I think there's a American football field and skate park in there too and for children there's are like three playgrounds and the parking is free for everyone😃

Like the tennis courts

Nothing remains of the park they were supposed to improve, but now there's nothing, not even a playground, just the basketball and tennis courts. P.S. The basketball courts are under renovation, so they're closed to the public.

There is only a playground for toddlers available. There is a soccer field that is always closed. The park has a lot of open space for except in the center due to an unfinished project that has been untouched for almost three years now. There are many different types of birds. A robot cop goes through the Northside of the park, near the basketball and tennis courts.

This is an active park. There's a large portion of it "under construction". Ive lived in the area for about 4 years now & still haven't seen any progress on finishing up the massive empty field. There are basketball courts & tennis courts, a soccer field, baseball field & football field. Im not sure if its open to the public though since I never see anyone in the fields unless there's an actual game. There are plenty of tables & green areas to have a picnic. The playground is towards the south entrance & needs an upgrade desperately. The swings have sharp edges & the slide is just a tiny kiddy slide. There's also 2 workout areas, one towards the south entrance & one towards the north exit. There are better parks out there and this one is big. It would be an awesome place to go for family picnics but it needs massive upgrades.... do yourself a favor & just go else where. Playground: Playgrounds is super small & the swings are damaged. They have sharp edges from wear & need an upgrade. Restrooms: Restrooms here are always filthy. A lot of homeless come by to "use" the restrooms. Also, there's no security in the area & ive witnessed men coming out of the ladies restrooms. Dog-friendliness: Not a dog park, but people bring their dogs anyways. Ive seen local police stop them & fine them but they continue to bring their dogs anyways. Picnic area: Plenty of picnic areas.

I come here to play tennis. The only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is because the fourth tennis court does not have a net and the shadows from the trees are extremely bothersome in the morning. However, the courts themselves are pretty good and the lights at night are some of the best ones around. I also like that this park is always busy in the evenings with all different types of sport related activities. There some shady activities as well like a lot of puff puff give action. The little robo-cop has deterred some of that. All in all the experience is a positive one. Mind you I've been playing tennis on these courts for over 25 years, since I was 2 years old because I'm only 27 years old. I'm 27 plus add another 20 and bam

This is my go to park because it is roughly a mile a way from where I live so I like to run there and back for a kick ass workout. It's big, and has an one outdoor volleyball court and a few basketball courts and enclosed tennis courts (however, you must continually press the lights button yourself at the tennis courts because they don't stay on), a soccer circle, a skate park, baseball diamonds and newly added batting cages. I use to work there and it was great. It does get crowded practically everyday. There is a jungle gym for the kids and two awesome snack shacks, one by the jungle gym (which that area is called muni park) and another by the entrance of the baseball diamonds. It's cool to run at night around the circle square, lights off at 10pm though, but it's not that dark. They offer an adults night basketball on Thursday's and a adults Vball on Tuesday's from 9pm-12am and it's $2 per person for all night playing. The park rangers are cool and so are the people who work there. The front desk inside only has one person working and at times there can be a line and parking sucks, especially during youth basketball ( which I think goes year round) this is my park and I like it. Can't complain. Wish they would add a dog park though or at least make it dog friendly! Oh yea, they have a farmers market every wednesday from 9am-3pm

Update on this park as of today there are no more swings and slides not even to bring ur kids to skate on their boards everything was taken down only things left are to play basketball, tennis and soccer and there is a lot of equipment for exercise all over the park oh and heads up park has a robocop. Restrooms: The restrooms don't always have toilet paper no one cleans them people are so nasty that they clog the bathroom up
Jessica R: ★
This park has bums sleeping inside or around the tennis courts. Needles on the floor, then men's restroom has an extremely short stall where the toilet is so everyone can watch you poop. And they need to add pickleball lines where the tennis courts are because some people want to play pickleball but don't wanna go 30-40 min away from where they live just to play . Fix your bathrooms, get rid of the bums , and at the very least make pickleball lines where the tennis courts are

City decided to get rid of the playground, got federal money to fix it, they asked the citizens, which park needs fixing, I can't believe nobody is recalling or calling the county about this sad situation.H.P. voted the most depressing city in the U.S. ,not surprised. 5-8-2023, update, sadly still looks the same, I can't understand the citizens here, we pay so many taxes and no one complains.
