Nice little park for a quick stop during our 5 hr drive from Mammoth Lakes to LA. Clean restrooms, plenty of shade, dog park nearby.

Spainhower Park: We needed to kill some time while the hotel staff cleaned our hotel room, so we decided to relax a bit at this park, close to our hotel. Seemingly well cared for, and has a nice place for kids to play. Also, has picnic tables, where were, bathrooms, and some kind of band stand. One of the biggest draws for me was the many trees, providing abundant shade. Really, quite lovely. The biggest drawback is that Carl's Jr. is right next door. The nasty, carcinogen smell wafts over from across the street. I will have to leave or move to the other side of the park. Too, bad, nice park, otherwise.

Good place to stop by if you’re going through the town. Kids were happy to play here and enjoy the river. And there’s a restroom and it was the best stop for a while.

A beautiful spot to rest, picnic, play. We stopped here on our drive to Mammoth. It was so beautiful. All the big trees create a beautiful shade canopy. Many picnic tables, a cool stream running through center of park with little bridges going over it. A playground, courts, bathroom, trash cans, and small parking lot. Across the street is Frosty Chalet for a cold treat or bite.

We ate lunch here and looked at maps. (Who knew there was no direct route from this town to Sequoia NP?!) I am especially tickled by the ravens, which, before this trip, I thought only lived in Canada and Alaska. Anyway, the park was pretty busy with people walking their dogs, families and the birds. I did not find a bathroom.
