I loved the beginner tennis lessons! All the coaches are super nice, the tennis staff are always great to interact. Courts are very well maintained. They always have a good crowd of people coming too!
Shobhit Singhal: ★★★★★
Great courts. Huge wall to hit against. Friendly members. I come here often to hit with my friend. I find this place quite peaceful.
John Hsu: ★★★★
1/2023: lights come on at 6:40AM now. We usually play from 6-7AM but the sun doesn't rise until 6:30AM these days. please update the lights schedule and fix it. thank you. 11/2023 update: numerous office calls and messages for mountain view facility did not help. finally my friend stopped by their office and spoke to someone there. the very next day, light schedule was adjusted to come on well before 6am and turns off at 6:57am. it is still a tiny bit dark when lights go out, but it will get better as we approach summer again. 12/2023 update: lights were ok for a few weeks, someone came out and adjusted the lights again, this time delaying start time to a much later time, when it is already bright. 2/2024: lights come on now at around 5:41AM and go off at 7:08AM. sunrise is around 7:00AM so there is just a small gap. this is a huge improvement. thank you.

Olivia Tam: ★★★★★
One of the best maintained tennis centers around the South Bay. Courts are well utilized.
vijayaraj gopinath: ★★★★★
Lot of courts, more than 10. Excellent maintenance, offer coaching, water fountains. Beat for tennis enthusiastic
Fabien Curto Millet: ★★★★★
Fantastic place to play tennis in a very green surrounding. Courts are free for Mountain View residents if you just want to show up and see if something is available with the office (usually is). Booking in advance to secure a court is also inexpensive ($8 or so, I think). The courts are well maintained. A great service for the area.
Ricardo Sanchez: ★★★★★
Very nice tennis courts. You need to register at the clubhouse to reserve a court (you can also do it online). It is free to use a court during the day and it costs $4 at night (to help cover the electric bill). There are also some walls that you can use to train if all the courts (12 in total) are full.
Lucas Casali: ★★★★★
I've been coming here ever since elementary school, and every time I always had fun! Just be sure to bring water, the courts get hot during the summer
Mary Green: ★★★★★
Cuesta Tennis Center courts are quite nice and the center staff very professional. It's a low key set up and that's great. Mountain View Open around Memorial Day is always lots of fun.
Peter Dollinger: ★★★★★
The tennis here is amazing. The courts and nets are in tip top shape, there is a wall to practice, excellent water fountains, it is clean, it is safe, and the lights are bright. John is a super excellent tennis coach. I recommend!!!
Herman: ★★★★★
Beautiful surroundings and well maintained 12 tennis courts! Plenty of free parking spaces, picnic area, playground for children and hiking/jogging trails around the park. No restaurant on site, so bring your picnic baskets and enjoy the green surrounding and fresh air.
Lisa Krijger: ★★★★★
This place is a gem - well maintained courts, hitting wall (a rarity these days), ample parking with shade, nice clubhouse, reasonable rates for non- residents, beautiful park with play structure (your kids can play while you play - win win). But the real gem is tennis pro, John T. - best instructor ever. My boys and I have tried countless tennis pros from multiple clubs (my guess is more than 40 different pros over the years) and John is far and away the best. No joke. I suppose having a degree in electrical engineering from UC Berkeley helps quite a bit with analysis and technique adjustment because I have not found anyone who makes as much of a positive difference in my or my sons' tournaments and matches as John. He's able to truly individualize the lessons - knows what he needs to do to change it up. If you want to go up to the next level, John T. will get you there faster (so much more efficient and economical). He's humble - maybe too humble but if you want your kid on varsity and want to win state championships or you need to put the ball away once and for all in your doubles league - look no further. His humble demeanor and quiet confidence might fool you but the results won’t.
Amy Zheng: ★★★★
Good tennis courts, you don't really need to register if you go when it's not crowded. Apparently they charge $5 per non mountain view resident (if they bother to collect) which is annoying
Jess Chen: ★★★★★
Beautiful garden and clean tennis court!

A magnificent place for the city, many people enjoy the natural beauty, large trees, picnic areas, barbecue grills, dog parks, restrooms, tennis courts, bocce ball, children's playgrounds, exercise machines, and the flora and fauna that live in their natural habitat. Wonderful!
Roxanne: ★★★★★
Great tennis center with stellar coaches. Restrooms: Tennis center has very clean bathrooms.
Alan Zoller: ★★★★★
My favorite park! An off-leash park for dogs, too. What a great place to walk on a sunny or rainy day, with lots of hundred-year-old trees for protection. One lap around the perimeter of the park is about two miles, at least if you take some of the side paths for extra protection from the elements. You may not find parking as close as you'd like, but there is always plenty to go around. There is a volleyball court and a dedicated picnic area with grills, and both are side-by-side within walking distance of one of the bathrooms, too. I just discovered there's an outdoor patio area perfect for reading, in between the tennis courts and the parking lot. 😁
Nitin Gandhi: ★★★★★
Very nice park, for playing All age group, having Tennis courts , for practice of Tennis - Walls . Require advance reservation for playing Tennis and to arrange picnic party. Having nice exercise equipment for elders
An Pan: ★★★★★
Great park for kids and adults also. Playgrounds nice walking paths and plenty of parking. A dog park also. With Tennis courts free for walk in Mountain View residents. It is peaceful and quiet. Playground: Great for kids. Restrooms: A couple always clean. Dog-friendliness: On leash. Picnic area: Needs reservations but big space
Tracy Chen: ★★★★★
Full-fenced tennis courts!
Joe Loo: ★★★★★
Very beautiful large city park with lots of mature redwood trees. Has 12 good tennis courts managed well by front desk in clubhouse which is a bit outdated but still very functional (has restrooms behind/underneath front of clubhouse which also has locker rooms). Parking is fairly easy. Restrooms are available and adequate. I don't remember is there is a dog park, but dogs are at least allowed on leash.
Ray Tang: ★★★★★
Nice park for a picnic with good tennis facilities. There is a reasonable non resident fee if you want to use the tennis courts. Picnic area: Reservations are required for the large group picnic area.
Jiaming Xiong: ★★★★★
Good tennis courts
Sunshine Gardens: ★★★★
Nice large park with tennis courts and playgrounds. There is the tennis clubhouse there where you can take classes and pay for equipment. There are trails to do long walks and little valleys. There is lots of maintained grass good to sit for a picnic and a large playground. There is a wild part of the park with wild grasses and oak trees and there is the more manicured portion. For dog owners, there is a dog park where you can go off-leash in a bigger manicured valley. One dog was so funny and pushed us off a small cliff there once out of exuberance. The park's beauty is in its dips and valleys, graceful trees and green grass - on a spring day, sitting under the shade it is a paradise. It is also delightful for little children to ride their bikes or run down hills and see moles peeking out! The people there are friendly, kind - I saw a mole that kept going in circles, we didn't know what happened to it - everyone came by to try to help it. Even little lost birds, the children would try to protect them. I've seen other parks where the people and children are not so kind.
Dan Kirk: ★★★★
Nice park, playground, picnic tables, lots of walking paths. Too many people with dogs off leash, no visible enforcement. Lots of picnic areas. Tennis courts. Ample parking. Restrooms.
Srinivas Gurana: ★★★★★
Good number of tennis courts. Very well maintained.
John Hsu: ★★★★★
the tennis courts lights turn on every morning at 6:11 AM and off at 7 AM. On Fridays, they leaf blow the courts starting from court 6 towards court 1 at around 6:50 am the city is not responsive to suggestions on setting the lights so they turn on at 6 am when the courts open.
Uma Sharma: ★★★★★
Good tennis facilities
Alex B: ★★★★★
Great tennis courts, might get packed after 4 though.
Shobhit Singhal: ★★★★★
What can I say. This is as close to perfect as it gets for public tennis courts. Good surface. Clean. Lights always work. Easy access. And the best and biggest tennis wall I’ve ever seen. Love Cuesta park tennis courts!
Ben Holfeld: ★★★★★
Great to play tennis with others or by yourself (has tennis walls) large park to go for a walk or go with kids to the playground

Cuesta park is a very nice but park in Mountain View. It has at least 12 well surfaces and event bouncing tennis courts that are pay per use. For mountain view residents, the price is lower than for non residents. The park has a nice grassy patch as well that can be used for picnic lunches and for kids to enjoy in general.

Neutral Reviews:
Cali Native V: ★★★
$5 per player per hour. They started the timer on me before I even checked in. Then I had to kick off some other players already on my court. Lost about 20 min into I raised a fuss. Lots of courts though, handball wall and restrooms nearby
kunal saluja: ★★★
Hard to get reservation on the spot
Vignesh M: ★★★
The redwoods feel very majestic and There are still enough people after sunset that it feels safe. The park has more than enough visitors, a small exercise rink and enough parking space to accommodate everyone. That said the park needs to up its maintenance. Many of the lights in the main area of the park do not light up while the lights in tennis courts are lit up well enough for a small plane to land. Dog-friendliness: Lot of dogs roaming around
Coach Michael: ★★★
This is the de facto Mountain View Tennis Center, others would argue Rengstorff Park which lacks the structure of a tennis only facility. It's got a decent size of walls that permits practicing while awaiting for a court. Other than Sunnyvale Tennis Center, Cuesta Park got the largest number of courts, and more importantly, clean & well maintained courts. Since it's not next to residential areas, the standalone design makes it so much enjoyable making it like tennis players' haven. Playground: No playground. Restrooms: Yes. Dog-friendliness: No. Picnic area: Yes
Wally ElSakka: ★★★
Very organized Tennis Program for higher level 4.5+ players
Negative Reviews:
David Chen: ★
Extremely horrible service to schedule courts. The wait time was long, and we got assigned a court that was wet and slippery. They claim that it was ok because it’s not a match court, and still charged us. Save your money and go play elsewhere. The lights here are staggered incorrectly anyway so you won’t be able to see if you’re facing the parking garage direction.
Sandra Sandeep: ★★
Would not recommend (at least for beginners) due to poor teacher quality. Some teachers are great (like Fu-Lin and Joey), but others are really not worth the money. Some teachers-in-training are paired with more experienced teachers, but if you're put in the trainee teacher's group, you'll be stuck there the whole class, and the trainees are often bad at running a class and giving feedback to students. I saw one trainee have 3/4 students sit out for 15 minutes (in a 60 minute class) so he could work 1-1 with 1 student. I saw an experienced teacher tell a trainee teacher ~8 times in one class to give feedback to his group of students as they practiced; the trainee would give feedback for a couple minutes and then just go back to watching and doing nothing. The last class I went to, we spent 10-15 minutes doing dynamic stretches (high knees, butt kicks, etc) - why?? Spend your money elsewhere.

I was teaching my family the other day for fun, and was warned by a coach there saying I can't conduct a lesson here ... not even verify things first ... what a terrible way to warn people, in addition, I can't teach my wife, brother, and kids???? If so, that's pretty stupid to ask people paid to reserve a court that you can only "play", no ball feeding, no drills, and teaching. Great job, people, seek for other places!
Hao Li: ★
update to 1 star. Front desk double booked our court with a clinic class. Staff was very rude and asked us to leave immediately. They did offer to book another court for us, but that court was not even ready. This place wasted our time; but more importantly they do not respect their customers.
Yaritzy Jaimez: ★
The lady that cleans the Bathrooms is so rude and stares at you trying to intimidate you, not only that she closes the bathroom at 6pm when the tennis courts are open late 9:30pm to be specific. I was trying to change to my tennis clothes and she didn’t let me go in even when she wasn’t even cleaning the woman’s bathroom, she was on the mans bathroom. I understand she wants to go home but 6pm?? Do better.
Al Lam: ★★
Lots of tennis courts but if u r not mt.view residents then get ready to pay $15 for an hour...too steep.
Sue Kim: ★
The lights are too dark. I think they should change lights.
