Best Pickleball courts in Palm Desert, Riverside County for 2026

A well maintained park with ball fields, a playground and an off-leash area for small dogs and another for big dogs. Nice walkway around the perimeter of the park. There is a poignant statue of a young mother on her knees holding a flag, and looking at her son who is a few steps away. He is looking back at his mom with a toy airplane in one hand and a small American flag in the other, while he casts the shadow of a soldier. Freedom Park.

Freedom Park has two dog parks, one for small dogs and one for larger dogs. A paved trail to walk around for exercise. The park has great lightning after it gets dark. There also are pickleball, basketball and baseball quarts. The park also has clean restrooms and great picnic areas.

I enjoyed this large park while visiting Palm Desert. Great place for a walk with the dog around the long paved path and also has a decent sized dog park with separate sides for large and small dogs. Other amenities I observed but did not use: playground, restroom, picnic tables under a pavilion, pickleball courts, baseball fields, and a big open field that was being used for a rugby game when I went there on a Sunday morning. Parking was easily available.
