Best Tennis and Pickleball courts in Sacramento, Sacramento County for 2026

Curtis Park in Sacramento

Summary / Description

2 lighted tennis courts. 2 pickleball courts. In good condition. Some shade from trees. No restrooms. Well maintained and surrounded by lovely homes. Spanning a long rectangular layout, Curtis Park boasts a variety of amenities, including sports courts, a dog park, and pickleball courts. The two permanent pickleball courts are overlayed on tennis courts, so players will need to distinguish the pickleball lines from the tennis ones. Additionally, the nets remain slightly higher than standard pickleball nets since they were originally designed for tennis. Despite these quirks, the courts are a fantastic place to play in the heart of Sacramento, and best of all, they’re free to use. Weekend mornings, especially during cooler weather, can get busy, so you may need to wait your turn. While waiting, take the opportunity to explore Curtis Park’s other features. No public restroom or parking lot. Beautiful old trees. Basketball court. Tennis court. Dog accessible water fountain. Lots of trash cans. Gated playground. Enjoy a leisurely stroll along its tree-lined paths and soak in the charm of this vibrant neighborhood oasis.

Brittany Joe: ★★★★★
I think the park wide space and perfect area to do walks and laps. It is realitevely busy and crowded so you make adjustments of keeping space from others. It has two tennis courts with pickleball courts too.
Hillary Jenning: ★★★★★
A great park. One mile around so it’s easy to track your distance. Very dog friendly place. If there is sunlight there are people here, but it has never felt really crowded to me. Depending on the time of year you’ll see groups of varying ages playing organized sports. Lots of trees as well as cute interesting houses to look at. In the middle there’s a tennis court, and beside that a kid’s playground.
Heather Hogan: ★★★★★
Great, large city park with playground, benches, running trail, tennis/pickle ball courts and a basketball court.
Claire Impens: ★★★★★
Clean, spacious and well -groomed. Ample street parking, though it is limited to 2 hours. We visited the playground which is smaller but has 1 baby swing, 1 special needs swing, and 2 swings for bigger kids. There is also a jungle gym, 2 slides and some springy ride-on toys. Not really a playground for big kids, probably up to age 5 or so. On our visit, we also saw some nice tennis courts, a sidewalk/ track around the edge of the park, and plenty of tables and benches. There is a lot of space for sports practice, kite flying, or throwing a frisbee. It's a lovely neighborhood park.
Megan Gury: ★★★★★
Love visiting this park. Lots of open space for running. Walking path along the entire perimeter and a small park on the south end that's fully enclosed. Tennis court and basketball court near the playground. No restrooms.
Joe A: ★★★★
This is a wonderful park. Plenty of pace for family gatherings, sporting events and such. There is a playground for children, a tennis court and basketball court in the middle if the park. The only downside is people apparently think this is a dog park. THIS IS NOT A DOG PARK!!!! KEEP YOUR DOGS ON LEASH AT ALL TIMES!!! if you have a problem with crowds or dogs off-leash then i would give this particular spot a wide berth.
Diana Gonzalez: ★★★★
This is a nice park in a nice neighborhood. There's a small playground with a sand pit, a tennis court, an area with bleachers to play baseball, and lots of room to run or walk. The only bad thing is that there are NO bathrooms! That's why I gave 4 stars instead of 5
kit dillon givas: ★★★★★
Yes, yes, yes. Great mile or more walk. Tennis courts and play area. Well maintained and surrounded by lovely homes. Only downside...no public restrooms for the courts or playground area. Still a great walk and event area
Nick Major: ★★★★★
This is a beautiful park full of life and people. Every time I go, I see such a diverse range of people enjoying every part of it: the tennis courts, the fields, the basketball courts. It's a wonderful little park.
erik williams: ★★★★★

Park runs North/South through Curtis Park neighborhood. Big grass fields on North and South end, with occasional events on the north field. Lined with trees, some picnic tables in the shade in the North end. Middle has a baseball field, small basketball court, tennis court and kids playground.
Nelli Chervova Russell: ★★★★★
Beautiful park with lots of shade from trees. Fenced in playground, also nicely kept. Tennis courts available, big lawns to run around.
Donovan McCallum: ★★★★★
It's a cute park, the play area has a gate and is maintained, there are tennis courts but no bathrooms. The park layout is a long skinny strip with the courts and play areas in the middle
Lorie Greer: ★★★★★
A beautiful park in a picturesque neighborhood. It provides areas for baseball, basketball, tennis, playground equipment, and lots of green space for a family picnic or game of flag football.
Sara Woods: ★★★★★
No public restroom or parking lot. Beautiful old trees. Basketball court. Tennis court. Dog accessible water fountain. Lots of trash cans. Gated playground.
Julian Diaz: ★★★★★

It's a beautiful park. People walking or running with babies or their dogs. Very peaceful. I've only noticed homeless people being there once. (I reference this for safety. Sometimes I walk by myself. It can feel dangerous to walk by yourself if there are a great deal of homeless.) The park is well shaded, too.
Fam Roman Sanchez: ★★★★★
Great for a lovely walk. Could benefit from additional trash bins and some irrigation improvements so the walking path doesn’t become so slippery and muddy in the mornings.
Demetrius: ★★★★
Lowkey not much to do. Reminds me of rancho san rafael regional Park in reno, nv
Christopher Roman: ★★★★★
Large and peaceful park with plenty of trees, shade, grass, and space. There's also a walking trail around its perimeter. Our favorite park in the area!

Basketball and tennis courts as well as a gated play area. Street parking.
Olivia Figueras: ★★★
So lights for the tennis courts but not for the basketball courts?
Darien Cheng: ★★★
There are definitely better parks in the area. Soil can get really muddy here
Kevin Walker: ★★★
It's a nice park with a great track, baseball field, basketball court, open fields, kids play place, 3 Pokestops, but no restrooms. What kind of park has no restrooms? Seems like that would be an important feature of a park.
Krystalé Word: ★★★
It's a beautiful place it needs a public restroom I go every day I wish u did not feel as tho I'm going to the "white neighborhood " but you can tell the difference in how the parks are kept but other than that I love it.
Shawn X: ★★★
What's with the whole parks with no bathroom or water faucets? Use to have water play and faucets for kids in play area but they took them out. Use to also have at least a port o potty.
Shari Bernacett: ★★★
Wanted to take my dog to the park here he had to go to the bathroom but there's no place to park so you have to park in front of someone's home they look at you through the window as if you were from space so much for Curtis Park
Andrew Robison: ★★★
Not great but not bad. Its declined over the years. Homeless wandering though all the time.
maria k: ★★★
Nice park for people who can access park from their homes. There is minimal street parking in front of neighborhood houses.
Keith Sabini: ★★★
There are basketball courts, a playground, tennis courts, and a running track. No public bathrooms though. If you go with your kids make sure they go to the bathroom before you get there.
Negative Reviews:
Daniel Edgar Torres: ★
There is no bathrooms in this place but everything else is good
Brianna Ruiz: ★★
It's a nice park but it definitely needs more benches and tables but besides that really nice park family-friendly
