Overall this is a very nice Community Center, located within Emeryville High School
Craig Ferrara: ★★★★★
Nice turf fields and accessible bathrooms during league play (adult soccer Tuesday nights). Parking can be difficult at times if there is another sport happening like volleyball in the gym. Try to carpool if that happens. Lights go off promptly at 10pm.
Donna Fong: ★★★★

ECCL is a hidden gem - been through ups and downs in past 16 years, survived darkness, now recovered, though less known, but core-strong and full of heart in all things they do. Path forward is more fun. This Friday night is a movie-by-the-pool night! Starts at sunset😉 What can I say? Magical. My little girl was happily roaming free in the pool, while I was sipping hot apple cider in my bench, rewatching Finding Nemo, as a longtime neighbor to Pixar, as well as a two-decade fan to this studio of best stories told. The planning & execution of this movie night was thorough and thoughtful. Pool is open. Activities for kids. Snacks & hot drinks for adults. A half moon night with clear sky. Clean water. Floating duckies. Laughs & cheers. And the movie ended right before bedtime. THANK YOU ECCL for bringing us together and adding more memories & joy to the Memory Lane of Emeryville family & community. Looking forward to the next one! 🎃Pumpkin in the pool!

Review is for summer swimming classes: We are thrilled with Emeryville Pool and its staff. The entire program is well-organized and structured, and the staff and coaches are excellent. There are not enough good things we can say about all the staff; they are incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional. My kids have had the pleasure of being coached by Eva, Mason, Chad, and two other coaches, and every one of them has been fantastic. Chad, in particular, has gone above and beyond to support our families. He possesses an in-depth understanding of what my daughter needs and has gone the extra mile to provide her with additional techniques to enhance her swimming skills. My daughter adores him, and she feels the connection. This connection is significant because when a child feels a bond with their teacher or coach, it boosts their motivation and makes them more likely to enjoy the class. The positive experience we've had with Emeryville Pool and Chad has meant a lot to our family. We truly appreciate the effort and dedication the staff and coaches put into their work. It has made a significant impact on our children's swimming journey, and we are grateful for the supportive and enjoyable environment they have created. Today was a truly special day for my daughter as she came out of her swimming class beaming with pride. She now believes she could become a JUNIOR LIFEGUARD! Witnessing her newfound confidence leaves me speechless, and I can't praise Chad and all the coaches enough. They have made the class an absolute delight, striking the perfect balance between fun and informative. Beyond merely teaching swimming, they focus on building up the children's confidence, and it's making a remarkable difference. I couldn't be happier with the progress my daughter is making and the positive impact they've had on her.

I hesitate to recommend this place because I don't want anyone else to find it. What's not to love? Heated outdoor lap pool. Well maintained equipment. Very clean locker rooms/showers. Friendly staff. Great discounts if you're an Oakland resident and over 50. If you're looking for a great gym at a reasonable price, try this place out.
Donna Fong: ★★★★
I play volleyball here on Thursday nights. Court is in good shape. Basketball board does become an obstacle occasionally but it's an otherwise great gym.
lucas strauss: ★★★★★
Good community pool. The schedule can be complex with varying uses, so check ahead. The showers' push button controls are annoying. People don't always follow the rules concerning lane speed and usage times.
barbara henninger: ★★★★★
This is a beautiful outdoor pool. The locket rooms are clean and equipped with nice showers. The staff are great. I like everything about this pool.
Marcella Valentine: ★★★★★
I love this pool. It's really clean and has great facilities. Staff is helpful. The website isn't always 100% up to date with lap times, so beware and maybe call ahead of time.
Joseph Reid: ★★★★
Lovely outdoor pool. Friendly welcoming staff. Locker rooms were pretty gross and the showers are really bad. Wish the hours were better for lap swim.
Jennifer W: ★★★★★
Amazing facility for the price.

Great place if you don’t want to trash your money in expensive and fancy sport facilities. Obviously don’t expect something fancy. it's a fair price for what you get :)

We were discriminated against and denied admission to the pool. My 10-year-old son is a serious swimmer and I tried to take him lap swimming. I checked the website and called ahead to confirm that his age wasn't a problem. When we arrived, the front desk turned us away, saying lap swimming is 18+. The next day I confirmed with management that there's no 18+ requirement, and that 10-year-olds who are strong swimmers are allowed. I'm appalled at the mistreatment we received, and have to wonder what's going on at ECCL.
