The courts are well-maintained and provide a great space for players of all levels to enjoy the game. The location is convenient, with ample parking and clean facilities. I appreciate the friendly atmosphere and the opportunity to meet other pickleball enthusiasts.

A lot of fun, but it’s very crowded

Plenty of space and pavilions for family gatherings. Great place to play on the grass or playground in the early mornings before the Sun heats up the equipments. There were tennis courts; some were converted to pickleball and I saw several people playing pickleball. Many fishers trying to catch catfish (according to the park ranger, the lake has catfish). I also saw a lake management boat on the lake surveying and doing maintenance. I asked the park ranger if anyone can bring their boat out on the lake, he said personal boats are no longer allowed. I recommend that you stay on the west pathways if you want to walk in more shade and less dust. I saw many vehicles drive down the west pavement to the south end of the park to the picnic tables. There is a thinner well-maintained dirt path to walk along the west side of the lake. The path on the east side of the lake is a wide dirt path, where many mountain bikers or family with baby strollers like to go on. A fun tip: if you want to walk further, the south end of the park has a paved walkway that passes by the water treatment center and connect to the Niguel Botanical Preserve, YMCA, and the community center. Highly recommended to check out the Niguel Botanical Preserve if you're in the area and like to learn more about how to plant a beautiful garden in similar climates to southern California.

Great place to take a walk, cute little lake for fishing, picnic tables for small groups, able to reserve areas for larger groups, tennis/pickle ball courts, very large park, they occasionally have local events here

Great park to visit often! Came here last Saturday to play pickleball. There were quite a few other players but everyone was nice and the games rotated quickly.
Philippe Tusler: ★★★★★
A great park in the middle of the city. It's large, has a lake with fishing, tennis, pickleball, and a lot more. Right now, there are geese everywhere, but they're friendly.
Karen H: ★★★★★
Well kept, plenty of room to get some good exercise walking or relaxing around the lake... could also enjoy a picnic or a pickleball match. Also a good place to walk your dog as the paths and streets are pretty wide and there's lots of grassy areas. Restrooms seem plentiful
Jack Mathis: ★★★★
Great park for hiking, jogging, fishing, picnicking, partying for large parties, pickleball and tennis. Expert hobbyists fly model planes with lights on hill above Alicia. Free entry if you walk in. The park is huuge!

Wonderful Orange County Park. A big lake stocked with fish, many ducks and their babies wandering the park. Plenty of space to walk, bike and picnic in the 227 acres. Pickleball and Tennis courts available for drop-in play.
SHER SHELDON: ★★★★★
This is a hidden gem! A wonderful walk through the shady trails around the lake. Very serene and full of wildlife! Take your bike, blades, or walk around. They have tennis and pickle ball courts too!
David Salahi: ★★★★★
One half is developed with grass, BBQs and shelters. The other half is natural and has a trail that goes around the lake (reservoir) which is stocked for fishing. If you want some extra exercise there is, on the west side of the park, a steep hill, good for walking or biking up & down. Pickleball courts are almost always busy. WE COULD USE A FEW MORE.

Laguna Niguel Regional Park is a great place to get out doors. Very clean environment. Has playgrounds, tennis courts, pickle ball courts, and alot of grass space for all types of events. Unfortunately due to coronavirus, the rental covered areas and playgrounds are not open but the lake has alot of cute ducks and squirrels everywhere. You can go fishing, and they have a fish cleaning station too. The benches and picnic tables can get dirty because of the ducks so bring something to clean them if you'd like clean tables. Overall it's a beautiful park. Strongly recommend it.

Enjoy making family memories here! We have lived in Laguna Niguel since 2003 and have been coming here regularly to enjoy walks, biking, birthday parties, etc. and more recently, playing pickleball! Can't imagine living here without the fun we've enjoyed at LNRP.

Laguna Niguel Regional Park: 8.2 miles. South of lake forest. 4 new Pickleball only courts (wind screens and fencing between courts) plus 4 restriped Pickleball courts on one tennis court. Night lights. $3 per car entry fee.
Emmy L.: ★★★★
Beautiful for facility, and the three dollar entry charge was definitely fair. Signage for the second group of Pickleball courts was lacking however, which is why I only gave it four stars. It would be very helpful as you approach the cluster of courts from either side to have a sign posted with a diagram that indicates there are additional courts with an arrow pointing where they are, and a distance (like 100 feet ahead.) The grounds are gorgeous and I was lucky enough to see spring wildflowers in full bloom on the opposite hillside..

Very nice park with clean facilities and friendly staff. Once you get past the gate, you feel like you're in another world where you (and resident wildlife) can relax. One exception is the 4 new pickleball courts. Unlike the with the picnic facilities, they do not take reservations. People were playing two and three games past the stated hour limit even though other people were waiting. It seems less of an issue with the tennis courts, which seem less busy.

I love cycling around this park with my daughter. The roads have little car traffic which makes me feel safe riding around. Also, there are several bike trails that connect to the park. For example, we often will bike through the park to the end of the lake, then continue on the Sulpher Creek bike trail to Crown Valley Park. You can also ride around the lake, but it is unpaved. There's actually quite a lot of area to explore in the park. There's also a fair bit of wildlife in the area. We've encountered geese, turtles, ducks, rabbits, squirrels, and even a coyote.TIPS: - Parking: If you're looking for free parking, a lot of folks park behind the Whole Foods (in front of the La Paz Sports Park). From here, you can then take the unpaved trail into the regional park or enter via the sidewalk along the front entrance. There is also a tunnel entrance on the east side of the lake that connects to Yosemite Rd. - Bike entrance: If you're entering by bike, then you can do so via the Sulpher Creek trail (listed above), the front entrance, or via the gate along the west side of the park (near the pickleball courts). If you go through the west side gate, you also have the option of going on an unpaved trail next to the west gate entrance. However, I wouldn't recommend it unless you're on a mountain bike with suspension.- Picnics: You can reserve the picnic areas. If you're looking to sit on the grass though, I recommend finding a spot away from the stream in the middle. Those areas seem to have a higher concentration of geese poop. There are also some picnic areas at the top of the hill (overlooking the lake) which tend to be more secluded.
