Kimberly Daniels: ★★★★★
Great facility! The pool is indoors and heated. It is 3 and 1/2 feet throughout so it is perfect for laps or the water fitness class that is M-F at 10am.

You Guy's bring your families Kid's here. This is beyond a Gym Environment. It's a Wonderful Experience overall, Fully equipped recently added new equipment as well as the Cleannes is Greatly appreciated. Friendly Staff! Wonderful People I Love My Y Family! No need to be intimidated if you've never worked out or are new to The lifestyle. Here if you ask They'll help.
Nash Holcomb: ★★★★★
Sleek, spacious and clean facilities! Currently a bustling center for donations and volunteers to help with the ongoing fires! There’s a real sense of community here
Jackie J.: ★★★★★
Loving this gym! Kept very clean and members have great gym etiquette. Pool, running track, and spacious workout sections.
Rick Medcalf: ★★★★
What can you say it's the Y. Great space there's plenty of things to do and you're not bothered by pushy trainers. Plus there's a pool, steam room and dry sauna. Lots of locker space, clean showers and restroom. They were really nice lounge area too.
Cynthia Riverswomack: ★★★★★
A sparkling gem in downtown LA! Great staff. Huge locker room. Great view of downtown LA from the indoor pool. Another plus! Parking underneath the building. Call the Y for directions. Enter on 4th and Flower St. $2 for 3 hrs with a validated parking ticket from the Y. Take the elevator from parking to the roof. Exit to the right and walk around to the Y's entrance. Have a good workout!

The DTLA Y is excellent! 👍 Large workout areas, full court basketball, racquetball, a pool and more. …

$2 for 3 hours parking with validation in DTLA is pretty good! Make sure to give ample time for parking and to do a lovely water fitness class :-)

I recently visited the YMCA gym in DTLA on a free pass. I enjoyed the sauna, pool and open shower area. I recommend a pair of flip flops to walk the wet tile floors. The towel and underpants in the shower are optional and at your own discretion. I’m a nudist and clothes really hamper my ability to meditate.Overall a great gym for altered perspective and my physical body.

My first time joining a Y and I really love it! The facilities are really good, it’s never too overcrowded in the day and it’s super spacious. Has sauna and steam room, courts, pool, it’s clean and the studios are great. Has good AC. I also love the classes; strength and conditioning w Robert and with Michael are both great and loved the cycle class with Roberto! Membership is really affordable too. I’m a fan!!
Michelle Lay: ★★★★
Centrally located & full of amenities: track, gym, racket sports, yoga room, weight room, cardio equipment, free weights. This location has everything & monthly membership rates are reasonable.
Mike Hosley: ★★★★★
Good access, I was from out of town. 5 bucks an hour to park.down the street on Hope. Showers.
Nick Suitt: ★★★★★
We take our daughter to swim lessons here. Amazing instructors and great community organization. Love the Y.
Stephen Lee: ★★★★★
Probably the best YMCA ever. You take the elevator to the roof so you will not deal with too many homeless. Most days there are no homeless in this area. They open at 5:30. I wish they open at 5 but still a great time to open so you can work out and head to work after. Great equipment!!

Needs a lot of maintenance and work, not been maintained very well. Men's locker room is a mess and recent rains have flooded it out and looks like they are finally getting around to replace the carpet. Fingers crossed. Pool is a strange place to swim Some swimmers are pretty uptight (not staff and lifeguards)

I was a member for more than two years nationwide, and now they wouldn't let me restart o make a new membership I can pay cash o Google only. They rejected me
Anderson Vasquez: ★★
I cancel my membership and they still charge me for 2 months. Worse gym ever.

Ketchum does not care for the safety of its members nor employees. Jackhammer is being used on the pool deck where noise vibrates through the enclosed pool deck. The sound amplifies throughout the locker room and the lobby. No notification was given to members of the maintenance during swim hours. Members nor employees were not given earplugs. They allowed a child under 10 to continue to take a private lesson despite asking them to cancel it because it could cause hearing lost. The maintenance was stop 20 min after the request was made. As to women's safety in the locker room, the women's door from pool area does not have a lock. A man can walk in at anytime. Men walking towards the pool have full access when the door is fully open which happens often during the summer. Ketchum policy there's no nudity, we should cover up. As a member for almost a decade at Ketchum, I've seen this place losing its friendly caring site to its Corporate Greed focusing on children's lessons that require additional fees apart from the membership. Note: Maintenance is not maintained unless reported by members. Ketchum doesnt alway notify members the pool closure, thus wasting your time and drive. Call and text are sent out after 15min your reservation has already started of the cancelation.

The only reason I visit this location is because Everett J is such a fun instructor. The staff here never greets me or my kid, someone at the child center called my son dramatic (whole time he’s just himself on the spectrum). I’ve also had moments when staff (a young Hispanic male with dark hair at the front desk) was completely unhelpful.. for example, watching me walk to the child activity center while they knew it was closed. When I asked why they sat there and watched me without speaking, they continued to be silent. I see them greet other people, but I’m starting to feel like it’s either personal or racial but i can’t say that’s for sure the case. The gym itself is nice and there’s plenty to do . If I didn’t feel so dismissed and borderline judged by the staff, I might enjoy walking up that steep hill and getting a workout in . Today 1/15/26 I walked in, they saw me and I waved and said hi, they ignored me at the front desk (as usual). And of course they said nothing when I was leaving. I go to other ymcas and I’m always greeted and acknowledged. Also management of the front desk is brash whe it comes to service. If you’re burnt out just quit and stop passing down your attitude to paying customers and ruining the mood to workout . Thank ya, bye ✌🏽

(Update: I just spoke with the manager who keeps reporting my photos because he doesn't want the truth to be known . # STOP DISCRIMINATION 🌟 I just had my first pilates class with Yvette Ayres at this YMCA . She is awesome. So I thought this YMCA would be diverse and inclusive. I'm a new member, and a Latina staff member discriminated by calling me the wrong gender and purposely avoiding me. Please teach your front desk staff that just because you are all Mexican it doesn't mean you can disrespect all other nationalities including your own dark brown skinned Latinos. The racism and discrimination in Los Angeles within the Latino community is outrageous. Start standing up for what's right and don't excuse Mexicans when they turn their backs on you or avoid eye contact because they were taught that they are superior to others of a darker hue. There are many other cities where African Americans , Latinos, and Asians actually get along. Report hate crimes and discrimination in LA !

A Call for a Warmer Welcome at the Front Desk I recently had the opportunity to visit the Ketchum downtown ymca and while I generally appreciate the services they offer, I felt compelled to share some feedback regarding the front desk staff

Every time I come in, I can’t help but notice that the atmosphere feels a bit cold and uninviting
