The new pickleball courts are nice. Unfortunately, they're only open one full day and two partial days.

Rubber floor in the playground hiking trails ball fields good parking. Pickleball courts are awesome but they are right in people's front door and across the street from the rest of the park.

Can be hot and windy

8 beautiful brand new courts. They should have rules about rotating open play. It’s posted as first come first serve, which is not good for sharing courts for open play.
kay roebuck: ★★★★★
Very nice courts, and a nice place to play
Al Medina: ★★★★★
The 8 courts will soon become favorites - given that they are public

This park is a small gem tucked away in between Martinez and Pleasant Hill. It has just been refurbished (2016), with several picnic areas and a children's playground on one side of the park and a new soccer field on the other, near the volleyball court and baseball field. In between is the "hidden" part, a series of small lakes and streams, which has hiking trails and supports a small community of fisherfolk. We saw an otter swimming by the last hike. Don't all come at once, but do stop by and visit!

Small park area surrounded by ball fields and several different hiking trails leading to other nearby parks
Pat Sylvester: ★★★★★
Nice, quiet area. Soccer field, play structure for children, and picnic tables.
James Stillman IV: ★★★★★
Great park to visit. Recently renovated. Great walking trails that also connects to the other side of the park by crossing the bridge. Great for kids and families as well as walking your dogs. I noticed that the park is very clean as well. They also added a few exercise stations near the front of the park. Hidden Valley Park is definitely worth a visit!
Cyn Haren: ★★★★★
Great place to make memories. Lots of running space for kids, a great playground with swings. Restrooms nearby. Large Picnic areas with large bbq pits. Great overall park. Take a stroll on the trail and find the hidden lakes.
William Berck: ★★★★★
Really interesting there to walk with views of concord. On the hillside you can see the sun valley. There is a pond with birds ,fish and turtles . Playing area is clean for kids and much area to play sports . Bring a ball or frisbee
Tyler Harding: ★★★★★
The view of Mt Diablo alone is amazing! Tables, grills, swings, playground, and a grass field are all in good shape. Cools off quickly on Summer evenings. Easy access to the multiple trails up to Hidden Lakes Park.

You have to watch where you step. A lot of people walk their dogs here. But only some of them pick up after their dogs.

The new tennis court is nice. But the 8 pm curfew (thanks to pickleball) sucks. Should have remained as two tennis courts only. Apparently the people living here approved the pickleball courts being built because they didn't know how loud it could be lolololz. 🤣 Well, enjoy the new noise.
Saywahs Paydays: ★
Absolutely horrible placement. I can’t hear myself think. I can longer open my windows or sit in my own backyard without being overwhelmed with unimaginable noise. Some people simply are not considerate of the people who live basically on top of these courts. Thanks city of Martinez. You’ve ruined my once quiet and peaceful neighborhood
Jason Garry: ★
Absolutely horrible to place Pickleball courts 15 feet away from homes. These courts will be turned back into tennis courts.
Samuel Bart-Williams: ★
Don’t bother. The courts are only opened 3 days a week and on two of those days for only 4 hours.
Chris Sippel: ★
I like to walk and meditate, have a nice quiet time to myself so I can think about things...... well, not here. There are children always screaming and yelling which I can hear from every corner of the park. When I find a spot that I can be alone, someone always has to walk by and talk to me when I don't want them to. Very irritating. I have to stop by at midnight or 1:00am so as to avoid other human sounds. And you can also hear highway 4 and highway 680 simultaneously.
