Well used and maintained courts. Good reservation system and good response from City of Oakland to clean up when there are dog incidents.

Spacious, clean, quite, large park with plenty of space for family gatherings, picnics, or just for going on a walk. There's a tennis court that is very spacious and perfect for playing.

Two nice courts redone in 2021. Light through the trees can be tricky in afternoon hours and there are no lights for nighttime play. Often free but best to reserve on Oakland Parks and Rec website to guarantee availability.

2 courts only with no divider in between but in good condition. Doesn't look like anyone sweeps it but there's no cracks, nets are good, lines are clear, so no complaints. No trash can inside but there's some near in the park.

Beautiful 2 new tennis courts in park setting. Wish they had included Pickleball đȘ lines for dual usage. Many more PB players than tennis. Still, at least the City did do something for the community.

Nice little park for toddlers with a climbing structure and two slides, all on a cushioned rubber flooring so they can run around (and fall) safely. There's also large grassy spaces and flush toilets that are somewhat clean, with a sink on the side with running water. If you walk down the path (past the pool) there's another playground that has toddler sized bucket swings and a little sand pit. It's nice because you can choose to bring your toddler to the tot lot without worrying about sand and then opt to walk over to the sandpit if you're up for the cleaning challenge later :)

Cute little gem hidden in the hills. I enjoyed a nice sunny day there with family and friends. There are tennis courts, public restrooms, barbecue pits and 2 playgrounds for the kids. There are also plenty of benches and open spaces to have a picnic

Beautiful park with a lot to do. Big grass space for picnics, lounging and running around. Many tables for BBQ. Great Creek for exploring tadpoles, newts and bugs. Generous amount of bathrooms. Tennis courts. Basketball courts, pool, playground, and hiking trails. A lot of time can be spent here.

A now beautiful flowing creek goes through the middle of this diverse human experiment. For leisure. You can bring your toddler and young child to play on the play structure, a basketball to play a game of hoops, your swimsuit swim in a beautiful pool, play tennis, have a barbecue, play fetch with your dog, or go for a hike up the "mighty" Sausal Creek. Depending on the month you might even see a waterfall or two.

I went this park on the 4th of July. I attended a Family reunion and it was very nice. The only problem was a Blk guy on a motor bike speeding thru the dirt and near the tennis courts..Many of us left around 430 We came from Stockton Madera Union City Las Vegas New York Florida.. just to name a few places but it was time to tell Oakland good nite. I I was impressed. I'm a Oakland native. Lake Merritt Defremry Park and Mosswood in Jr high and High school. A decent Park..could use some tender love.

They have two newly remodeled tennis courts! HMU if you want to play lol. Unfortunately no tennis wall. It's a large park with a lot going on - a couple of playgrounds, walking trails that lead to other parks, and a pool! It's right above the Safeway. You can find street parking or nearby neighborhood parking. Also some cool historical stuff randomly - like this Dimond Liberty Bell - haha seen in my photos!

There is more to Dimond Park than I thought, you just have to keep walking and you will see it all!! Once you walk past the tennis courts, picnic tables, and basketball court, you will find the Dimond Canyon hiking trail and Sausal Creek. There is also a community pool here, which is really popular during the summer. The basketball court is only a half court, so people just shoot around here. But the trail goes for a good while, it's kind of a link from the Dimond District to the Glenview area in Oakland.

I would give it 5 if not for a small contingent of homeless. Then tennis courts are well kept. That's were I rent courts to teach. Friends of Dimond Park do a monthly work day park clean up!

There's a trail, several playgrounds, restroom, tennis courts, half court basketball, pool, numerous large barbecue area for gatherings, and tons of shade and open field area for your pet giraffe to roam around in. There is also Sausal Creek on the side there that used to have quite a flow I was told but not anymore because you know, drought.

Big park that offers play structure for toddlers, bbq pit for family picnics, basketball court (single), tennis courts (double) and a swimming pool. EVERYTHING IN ONE CENTRAL LOCATION! Sweet! When I was a kid this place was great, a lot of activities to keep a kid entertained and the parent happy. Memories of the place brings back soccer games, kick ball, bbqs, and swimming at the pool. Plenty of parking if you loop around the backside of the park.

Me and my daughter scarfed down a couple Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. Then we went to Dimond Park to walk it off. The park has a couple trails for walking/hiking. We walked along Sausal Creek and explored a couple of trails. It was a nice day and there were some families there enjoying the park. Big grass field, tennis courts and they are building a pool there as well. A couple of cool play structures for the kids. Nice park to take a leisurely stroll in or just got to relax.

This is a great park; it has tennis courts, a swimming pool, a large play structure for bigger kids, a tot-sized play structure for little kids, large grassy fields, and basketball courts. The recent renovation has daylighted a significant part of Sausal Creek and made it a prominent and beautiful part of the park. My favorite part about it is following Sausal Creek up into upper Dimond Park, across Hanly Road. This small canyon is quite isolated from the noise of the city, and in wet seasons feels like a small rainforest. It makes for a great trail run.

My wife an I recently moved into our first house, and it is just around the corner from this lovely park! We discovered it walking back from Safeway on Dimond, finding a shortcut that ran through the park. It's a great park with a public pool, basketball and tennis courts, a couple playgrounds and a million BBQ pits under beautiful redwoods. It also has some trails that lead into the Oakland hills along Sausal Creek. It gets a little shady at night, but during the day it's a perfect place for a BBQ, a walk, or a place to let the kids run around and play.

This is the park of my childhood. One of my sisters was a rec leader for many summers. Learned to play tennis on the courts and it played host to more than a few family bbq's. It saddens me to see the shape the park is in. ADA access needs improvement especially heading to the pool from Canon. A fenced dog play area would be nice to stop people having their dogs do their business on the open lawn areas. Still, this is a park like no other. Trails along the Sausal Creek are fun. This is a great park for a summer stroll in the park. How quickly you forget you are smack in the middle of the city.

As someone who spent much of their childhood at Dimond Park, I can attest to just how special this place truly is. After being away for thirty years, a recent visit to the park brought back so many wonderful memories of field trips, afternoons spent with family and friends, and summer days running around the creek. There's something about this park that just sticks with you, even after all these years. And yet, despite the passage of time, Dimond Park has remained virtually unchanged. It still has that same energy that drew me in as a kid, and it's heartening to see that it continues to bring joy to new generations of visitors. One of the things that really struck me about Dimond Park is how well-maintained everything is. Despite its popularity and the constant flow of visitors, the park is clean, tidy, and welcoming. The park offers a wide range of activities and amenities to suit every interest and age group. Whether you're looking to play a game of tennis, take a dip in the pool, or let the kids burn off some energy in the playground, there's something here for everyone. It's a place that truly embodies the spirit of community and connection, and it's sure to leave a lasting impression whether youâre a long time resident or just strolling through.

Nice place for a walk, especially when the creek is running. Several playstructures, picnic tables, a tennis court & a pool. It's not a dog park but expect many off leash dogs about. Playstructures could use some updating, and more cans for trash & recycling would make a huge difference with the litter.

This is a beautiful park with giant redwoods that greet you along with tennis courts, picnic area, playground and a public swimming pool!!! As you walk east up along Sausal creek it becomes very wooded and shady. This would be an amazing place to play as a kid because there are some many places to explore. If youâre looking for a nice 2 mile hike start at Dimond Park and hike upstream and then take the Old Canon Trail back - you wonât be disappointed!

This is a fine, low key, neighborhood park. Kids can swing and play on separated structures appropriate to their age groups. There are tennis courts, BBQ grills and lots of picnic tables. Part of the space is more like forest while most is a lawn style park. The city has a pool, a gymnastics room from which they run youth programs. The little kid sand boxes and slides are on the north side of the park, past the pool. A trail runs from there north into Sausal Creek restoration area, which is about 5 times the size of Dimond Park. Sausal Creek is a nice, easy hike.

Diamond Park is a jewel found in the middle of Oakland. It has parking, tennis courts, several childrens play structures and a pool. Running through the park is Sausal Creek. Also has trails for a nice walk. Also has picnic tables and barbeque grills.

Dimond Park is filled with shade from the trees, a nice breeze flowed under them. There are three play areas, a pool, tennis court, basketball court, a little soccer field, trails, picnic areas with a lot of sitting and the center. There were a couple events happening at the park. One was a group doing yoga, a church had service and youth selling home baked goods.

Fun local park. It's in need of some TLC, but it's got tennis courts, a pool, a nice creek, and connects to a trail that walks up along Sausal Creek. With a visit if you live in the neighborhood .

Well established trees, grassy areas, tennis courts doing areas, benches, shade, walking paths, and easy access. Keep dogs on leash. Clean up after your pets. Pick up your litter. Enjoy a good variety of plants in the part as well as the quaint unique nearby neighborhoods. Keep an eye out for the homeless encampment tucked away behind the upper east end thicket of trees and brush.

This is one of our favorite parks. It has multiple play structures that are great for children that are a variety of ages. The toddler area is perfect for ages 2-5. Another structure has sand, which provides hours of fun. There is also basketball and tennis courts, along with miles of trails...really does have something for everyone.

I grew up going to the day camp here. Its been revamped and has a brighter, better feel to it now. This place has a really nice walking path if your trying to stretch your legs and not trying to drive far. There are 3 playgrounds from what I have seen. One right down the stairs from the main parking lot that more for kids 6+, one closer to the main public bathrooms that's for 5 and under, and another that's 6+ closer to the tennis courts near the street. The best part about this park is its not far from really anything. For those that want a little adventure, there is this place way in the back that we called 'golf ball graveyard'. Its a decent walk, and I wouldn't say its easy, but I havent been there in well over 15 years. From what I remmeber, expect Thorn bushes and possibly poison oak. If you go, remmeber this phrase 'leaves of three, let them be'.

We enjoy this park. It feels safe & open & interesting. Parking can be a slight hassle at times, but usually it is fine. The issue is that the stairway from the parking to the playground is steep, but they do have lower handrails for the little ones. There is shade & seating. It is near the creak so that keeps it a little cooler on hot days!

A very cute busy safe and exciting little Tot Lot play area where toddlers meet , greet and share treats. The toddlers that were enjoying themselves took time to delight in all the dogs passing by, stopping to visit, and getting in a healthy walk themselves. Park area is for leashed dogs, but don't tell...my dog loved running up and down and all around the toddler sized slide structures, like a custom obstacle course, after the toddlers all left for the day.
