I have been an active member for last 2 years and thoroughly enjoyed my membership- due health issue I have not been able to work out or participate in water aerobics. I do miss them! Love new weight equiptment! Expecting to return next month! Can hardly wait.

After over 10 years as a member of PBAC, I felt it was time to share my experience of this place I call my gym home! I cannot speak highly enough of this facility. The NEW equipment is top-notch and reflects the club’s commitment to maintaining a modern and inviting environment. Every single morning, (and I mean EVERY morning) I’m greeted by the friendly staff and an energizing atmosphere. I swear, Jim knows every member's name haha! What honestly sets PBAC apart is their unwavering dedication to their members. I once encountered an uncomfortable situation with another member, and the staff handled it with professionalism and care. They took my concerns seriously and acted quickly to ensure my safety and comfort, demonstrating their genuine commitment to member well-being. I absolutely love this place! I've visited many gyms along the Central Coast and in big cities, but nothing compares to Pismo Beach Athletic Club. Thank you for everything you do! I wholeheartedly recommend this gym!!!

I have been attending this gym for quite a while perhaps 4 years and today I decided to post a review of my overall daily experiences. The staff has always been nice, each and everyone of you guys is doing a phenomenal job keep it up. The gym is wonderful and all but it lacks on plenty of things. After it closed and I came back there is no more complementary bags after showers and such, the fan in the locker room is gone which creates a very humid uncomfortable environment. The remodel in the pool/jacuzzi area is great work. Equipments are still the same after the come back, sadly same old equipments unlike the competitive gyms around the area. In the locker room/showering area there is no lotion, after shave cream, Q-tips, blow dryers etc. Lots of senior citizens, rare to find young people. Limited parking spots. The gym closes super early and they don’t open Sundays which makes it inconvenient sometimes.

All the weights were sweaty and I saw what I hope was an OHenry floating in the pool. Went there for 4 weeks and wound up with a scorching case of Athlete's Foot, 1/10.

Edit 1 yr later: Lowering to 1 star bc the hours still suuuuuck I’m giving my favorite gym 2 stars!!! Why? Decent little gym, jacuzzi and dry sauna is cool. I’m not paying extra for the pool though, and they are still dragging out this 8pm closing time. If I could get a nice pump and then sweat it out in the sauna starting around 8pm it would be a 5/5 star facility, they’re cutting us short.
