Best Pickleball courts in Roseville, Placer County for 2026

Gibson Park Pickleball Courts

9 dedicated pickleball courts, with lights, and individual fencing around each court in Gibson Park in Roseville, California. Recently opened as of 2025, and courts are divided by skill level. These courts are on the corner of Roseville Parkway and Gibson Drive. They are located near Eureka and Lazy Dog restaurants and the Westfield Galleria mall. Pickleball courts are run by volunteer admins.

Courts hours are 7 am to 10 pm daily. Doubles play is encouraged during busy hours. Covered spectator seating areas are on both ends of each group of 3 courts. Only one bench in each spectator seating area, and there are a lot of intermediate players standing and waiting to rotate in.

Courts are separated by skill level: 3 courts for beginner, 3 courts for intermediate, and 3 courts for advanced players.

Paddle racks inside the spectator seating area help organize turn taking within a group of players. Place your paddle into the paddle rack system in the waiting area of the set of skill-level based courts you want to join.

Court surface has a really good grip so even if there is light rain you can still play.

There’s a huge parking lot. Everything is really clean including the bathrooms. There are two restrooms, one with a baby changing table. There is a set od drinking fountains next to the restrooms, near the parking lot. People are complaining about mosquitoes during the evening drop-in session.

Courts 1 & 4 – 9: Open Play

Courts may be occasionally reserved for City of Roseville programs or events.

Courts 2 & 3: Reservable Courts

Open play unless reserved in advanced. Anyone with paid registration has court priority during their reserved date and time.
Courts can only be reserved for play Monday – Friday, 11 am – 6 pm.

Loved this spot came for an early gameplay. Staff is amazing super helpful and kind. I got to play for an hour and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

So wonderful to have 9 new lighted pickleball courts! 3 grouped courts for each level: Novice (Courts 1-3), Intermediate (Courts 4-6, which are up on higher ground than the novice courts), and Advanced (Courts 7-9, which are literally on the highest level ground). Blue courts with gray kitchens (nonvolley zones). Covered spectator seating areas are on both ends of each group of 3 courts. Courts hours are 7 am to 10 pm daily. Doubles play is encouraged during busy hours.Only one bench in each spectator seating area, so there are a lot of us intermediate players standing and waiting to rotate in. People were complaining about mosquitoes during the evening drop-in session. Paddle racks inside the spectator seating area help organize turn taking within a group of players. Paddle racks outside the court area are supposed to be for different groups of 4 players to use a court, but not sure how easily utilized and noticeable those will be given most people are inside the court area. Go inside to chat with people in the spectator seating area. This park does have the following: - Restrooms - Outdoor patio seating area - Water fountains - Big parking lot. I recommend reading the Pickleball Rules sign: 1. No kids under age 12 without an adult. 2. No music that can be heard by others. 3. Personal bags and chairs should be in the spectator seating areas or outside the courts. 4. No animals. 5. No smoking. 6. No food, gum, alcohol, or beverages other than water. 7. No bikes, skateboards, scooters, skates, toys, or other wheeled devices on the courts. 8. A permit from the City of Roseville is required for private league, tournament play, coaching, or private lessons. My major complaint is that the fence dividers between the courts do not extend to the perimeter court fencing. The balls keep rolling through the gaps onto the next court, which is particularly annoying when you're in the middle court with 4 such gaps. I've been placing my bag in one corner to cover one gap. I beg Parks & Rec to think of a fix. I talked to one foodie friend who happens to work for Parks & Rec. Apparently, the community saw the courts were nearly done and pushed to have them open ASAP. He told me improvements should be coming given the early opening. Courts opened at the end of January 2024. The Courts of Gibson Park also has plans to open tennis courts and basketball courts. You can see the blueprints on their website. https://www.roseville.ca.us/cms/One.aspx?portalId=7964922&pageId=11074176 For information on drop-in open play, sign up for a free account on Playtimescheduler.com. These courts are on the corner of Roseville Parkway and Gibson Drive. They are located near Eureka and Lazy Dog restaurants and the Westfield Galleria mall. It's a bit tricky and sudden to turn left into the driveway with a median, so I have been making a U-Turn. I assume a left turn lane and parking lot lighting will eventually be added.

Not a bad park, usually lots of kids, some bums, but not often. If you come early in the morning you can get some exercise.
Liam A.: ★★★★★
Courts are exceptional. Recently opened as of 2025, and courts are divided by skill level.
Luke Cordova: ★★★★★
The Courts at Gibson Park in Roseville are one of the best places around to play pickleball. I usually play in the evenings and while it can get busy, the wait times move pretty quickly. I really like that the novice, intermediate, and advanced courts are clearly separated, which keeps games competitive and fun. Being right next to the Galleria Mall also makes it easy to stop by after work. This spot is great for mixed skill groups looking for consistent games.
Steve Schmorleitz: ★★★★★
There are quite a few courts here. There's a huge parking lot. There are two restrooms, one with a baby changing table. There is a set od drinking fountains next to the restrooms, near the parking lot.
M P: ★★★★★
Number one courts in all of america. Nothing like playing pickleball with great people!
Johnny Crimson: ★★★★★
9 pickleball courts with seating areas inside. Everything is really clean including the bathrooms. There's also an "outdoor" seating area by that I mean outside of the pickleball courts. Also they have really good grip so even if there is light rain you can still play. This is the first phase of the project. They plan on adding basketball courts, tennis courts, and some walking trails.
Sean Langwell: ★★★★★
Very nice new pickleball courts, divided into 3 groups of 3 courts by skill. The official pickleball paddle queue rack was not visible from the courts though, so everyone was just using the standing bench inside as a paddle queue rack. Be aware of that when you go and check with everyone on the courts to make sure you're actually in line to play, unlike me at first 🤣
Siva Kumar: ★★★★★
Nice courts with lights , rest room and water makes it the perfect place to play pickleball

Very nice and new pickleball courts, I hope the city will build Tennis courts as well!! there is plenty of room next to it, and we dont have public tennis courts in Roseville.

Well thought out layout of courts. Paddles up system works well in a shaded area to rest. People were friendly and games were competitive.

City engineers put no thought into these courts. They could have put them at a different angle, and the sun would not be such a major factor in the later hours of the day. It basically makes them unplayable during certain hours. That and the placement of the gates...they could be a lot better. A few of the courts have dead spots in them as well
