San Diego Pickleball at Mission Bay Resort is a great place to play pickleball. There are usually 6 to 8 courts available for open play. Open play is Monday – Friday 1-5pm for $8. The vibe and tone of the facility is very welcoming, friendly, chill and fun! They also offer daily leagues, lessons and weekend round robins for a variety of levels. There is something for all levels including intro lessons. Nice restaurant and bar at the resort for a relaxing meal or drink after playing as well!

Pickleball Group Play

Group Play occurs during 2 hour time blocks.
7 Courts Available.
Court Monitor will be present (Provides instruction if needed and coordinates rotation of play).
All Equipment is Provided (Paddles / Balls).
Deposit Required: Once a date has been agreed upon, a non-refundable commitment deposit (50% of the total cost) is needed. The balance (plus the cost for any additional players) is paid on the day of the event.
Food & Beverage Catering Available: Food/beverages can be provided by the Mission Bay Resort at a separate charge with their Director of Catering & Conference Services.

A year late in providing our review - we were a group of 4 looking for 4 sessions of family coaching. Setting up appointment was easy, Yael was super helpful and Coach Kev was awesome. Such a good instructor, even for our youngest (8yo). We LOVE this facility. This is a great way to improve your skills while having fun, in a fantastic pickleball environment. The pickleball courts lines are overlapped onto a tennis court. The pickleball nets are the portable type and not in good shape. I was expecting a lot more since it was at Mission Bay Resort. If you're new to pickleball, maybe you'll not mind, but if you're looking for a upper class facility, this ain't it.

We were resort guests looking to play a lot of pickleball when we were here visiting family. Disappointed to learn that these are not dedicated pickleball courts. There are no barriers between courts. The nets are cheap, of low quality. The players were beginners so lots of balls crossing into other courts. This is a fine place to learn how to play pickleball or for families with children. Hard to discern their pricing structure — we saw three different prices.
