Young kids park in 1/3rd with seating, 2 tennis courts, 2 hoops for basketball, 1/3rd for soccer or learning to ride your bike, roller skate, or practice a dance. There are less fortunate folks in the area, say hello as you enter from the 2 entrances on Folsum and 21st streets
Lorraine Mautner: ★★★★★
Nice sunny tennis courts. Bathroom near by. Street parking can be tough to find, I rode my bike.
Mitchell Villeneuve: ★★★★
The ground is concrete on the soccer field, but it’s fairly smooth and flat. Nice tennis court and mesh basketball nets
Tony Natoci: ★★★★
A nice park for basketball, tennis, and futsal. Gets pretty windy, though, which makes sports harder.
Yogi Shri: ★★★★★
1 tennis court with lights.
Miles Johnson: ★★★★
Tennis and hoops

It has a working, though modest restroom. Also it has a normal sized basketball court, and a tennis/volleyball court for the neighborhood to play and enjoy. A modest yet functional children's climbing thingie, (sort of a jungle gym - don't know if some greedy bstrd copyrighted Jungle Gym - to sue schools and parks around the world).
Melina Navarrette: ★★★★
No parking only street but a nice place, soccer, swimming pool but it under repair now, playground, restroom.

I'm confused but bear with me! All the photos in the beginning of the review are not from the same place, they are from 2 separate and distinct places. I reviewed a small area on ZSFGH property next to building 90,because the first 3 photos are of a statue in that area next to building 90. There are no athletic facilities of any sort here, there are just a few benches to relax on with some great plants, trees, and bushes to attract birds and bees. I'm not sure if this little area is actually called "Jose Coronado park" or not,but the statue photos are from 995 Potrero. I said: A small, peaceful and pleasant place to relax awhile that is next to ZSFGH building 90. Beautiful plants and great gardening/landscaping make for a very nice little spot to read or do a crossword-puzzle! On the other hand, The address given on this review is 2502 Folsom st. The photos of the athletic facilities are at 2502 Folsom Street, which is indeed named "Jose Coronado park", officially. I say to read other contributors reviews of 2502 Folsom street,my review was for 995 Potrero st.

The tennis courts are right next to the basketball courts with no separation. Additionally the tennis courts are on a slight incline which is a little unusual.

Open space is open space in a big city. Everyone needs it, even the local drunks. Lots of harmless whooping it up going on outside the park fences but inside you can play soccer, basketball, tennis, or use the children's area(double fenced to keep out the local color). I've played tennis here with female friends and there was definitely some cat-calling so be aware of that vibe if you're a lady too. Also, asphalt hurts to run on in my old age!
Jonah Jones: ★★★
Empty tennis courts, but a lot of vagrants and drug dealers hanging around
Negative Reviews:

Do not bring children here. Cool if you're into bike polo and you're there for that. Often some good local soccer games going on too... but more often than not, a hangout for local drunks and other shady types.
