Living in Louisiana, I rarely get to see so many pickleball courts like the ones at iPickle (formerly known as iTennis)! There are over 30 courts available for you to play on. You can rent a court on some days, but we went on a Friday night where it was open play and you had to line up your paddle in the queue. Friday night was “Social Night” which means it was $15 to enter but you can stay anytime until closing time (2 am). You can bring your own chairs, food, and they even have food there for you to purchase. There were also fire pits and pickleball merchandise for you to purchase. Staff were friendly as well. Overall, a really cool pickleball spot in the area.
Collen: ★★★★★
It's good. I go here almost every day after school for tennis practice
Omar Ahmed: ★★★★
*Removing a star because tennis courts are being taken over by pickleball.* I love these courts. Easy reservation through the Playbypoint app. The staff is cool. And my daughter loves the neighborhood cat Pickles.
G H: ★★★★★
I was there just to see a friend and get into pickle ball. This is inside my neighborhood in South El Monte. But it must have been a night that residents of the city were not supposed to attend. I was asked to leave just for watching a friend play. Because I'm from here it's the first time I felt disconnected for being Mexican. The person that told me to leave was again along with everyone there.
Tiara Jená: ★★★★★
I love the abundance of pickleball courts and it’s such a fun community. The Friday night socials have great music and snacks and the tournaments are always a blast.
Jeff Chan: ★★★★★
Plenty of tennis courts and pickle ball courts. Really clean and neat. Love playing here!
John Hua: ★★★★★
Awesome place to train and learn tennis. I had a few negative experience elsewhere but these courts are extremely well maintain and clean so the ball placement is very good and the spin is something that you can see when it comes off the pavement. The smoothness of the court is what makes it awesome for play and training. It is a good representation to get used to so that if anyone goes into the USTA/ATP kind of level of points, it will be a smooth transition. The shop always have a cozy small cabin environment feel and that makes it super fun to be around.

Played pickleball here on Friday night open court play. This picture was taken at midnight. Open really late and lots of players. $15 to play. Parking is a bit challenging.

Have only played on Friday nights. It's a fun vibe and social. The only negative, other than courts with lots of lines and temp nets, was my friend's car got broken into (sad face). Did have to wait around a bit to play even though they have lots of courts. Will visit again and know they host lots of tournaments.
Andrews Lovera: ★★★★

Nice Park to spend a beautiful day at. Really Big space to play Volleyball, soccer, and Bike around. Beautiful trees to shade the your day .
Mario Oliveros: ★★★★★
**UPDATE** Well, ever since my original scathing review, the tournament director turned things around completely! Service and officiating are on point and professional. Instructions and expectations are explained thoroughly before events start. Always have goodie bags or giveaways like a t shirt for example. Staff is friendly and approachable. So awesome to see the changes made. **Original** My review is for the tournament being held there. Service and officiating was virtually non existent. No instructions, no review of rules and scoring, very little oversight especially with the kids tournament. Not welcoming for kids starting to play tournaments.

Mo is great, he’s the owner and really nice. Let’s you reserve a court on site last minute and pick the spot that we needed. The courts are clean and well lit. Will come again and recommend friends!

Nice place. Send they're open till late for tennis. I'm not sure, i actually visited the adjacent park which is a part of Whittier Narrows, apart and smaller. I've seen a bunch of blue herons. B.E.A.UTIFUL! Peaceful, clean, flushing bathrooms with tp, lotsa shade & 2 parking lots, some wildlife, raptors, fewer people than the other parts of WN - that mind their own business. A little wilderness next to the 60 freeway, but you forget it's even there. Just my kinda place. Benches, tables, lil trail, playground for the kiddies. Closes at dark and they will evict you. Respect & enjoy!

Still a very nice facility to play tennis. It's showing it's age, and could use some TLC. Offers lessons for all ages and has a small shop inside.

edit 3/18/25 - the back courts have been resurfaced. there's been an attempted repair on the cracks but it's not perfect, so watch your step. adding a star for effort. edit 4 - lights and net straps have been fixed. do beware of days when pb events are happening because their parking lot was not originally sized for 4x the number of people. edit 3 - they've cleaned the pickleball lines with some success. However, court 9 has significant damage and I would avoid it if possible. One spot has a chunk of concrete missing and another was poorly patched and is actually sticking out of the ground. (see photos) edit 2 - the back courts are now closed and tennis court reservations cancelled this week so far. There was a pickleball tournament over the weekend and they applied tape that apparently melted into the court surface. edit to reply to the owner - that reply was very odd. Was it AI generated? 1) the two front rows of tennis courts (10 courts total) are now either full time pickleball or have pickleball lines. Only the back row of tennis courts are available to reserve for tennis use on weekdays. 2) there is no clay court at Whittier Narrows. there is no stadium court, for that matter. I want to agree with your being "very much about tennis," but as someone who's been playing here for years it feels increasingly less so. original review: They're obviously less interested in being a tennis facility now. Tennis relegated to the back row of courts only, with broken net straps, old and broken lighting, missing benches that were relocated to the pickleball courts.

Where’s all the pricing / reservation info? Would love to have reference to this stuff online. Unfortunately the website seems to lack any details about fees / reservations. Is there a per court fee? Per hour? Per day? Is there a per player fee? Per day? Per hour?

I've been a regular at iPickle for their Social Fridays for over a year, and I am incredibly disappointed to say the decline I've witnessed is staggering. What used to be the highlight of my week has devolved into a frustrating, poorly managed cash-grab operation. The core issue is Social Fridays are severely over capacity. Despite having over 20 courts, you can expect to wait well over an hour just to play a single game. The problem is a complete lack of management and what feels like pure greed. They have no maximum capacity policy. They will just keep taking the $15 non-member fee from every person who walks in the door, with absolutely no regard for the quality of the experience. You are paying $15 to stand on the sidelines and watch other people play. The frustration starts before you even walk in the door. There are not nearly enough parking spaces for the number of people they let in. You're forced to park way down the street in an area that is notoriously known for car smash-and-grabs. It's completely unacceptable and unsafe, and the club seems to have no issue exposing its patrons to this risk. This all points to extremely poor management. When you see this level of operational chaos, you look to leadership, and unfortunately, it's just as disappointing. The director has a very arrogant attitude and acts as if he's above the patrons. There is no sense of customer service or any apparent effort to address the obvious overcrowding and safety problems. It feels like they are operating under the assumption they're the only game in town. They are not. With several new, high-quality pickleball clubs opening up around the LA area, you would think they would hire a professional manager and try to stay relevant. Save your money and your Friday night. I'm taking my business elsewhere, and I suggest you do the same until they learn to respect their paying customers.
Maple Lu: ★
Manager was very mean! I was plan to meet my friend who is the member of ipickle but the manager not allow me to go in there because I am not the member. How can I become a member if I don’t see it inside, won’t come again.
Michael Carralez: ★
Clean courts and nice staff. However if you park here DO NOT park in a “dirt” spot. There was a “Officer Lampkin” with the LA county sheriffs dept that came by and gave ~8 cars parking tickets for parking in spots that he considered park of the “lawn”. He said that the court had asked the sheriffs dept to do patrols of the area because understandably there is no lighting in the area. Officer Lampkin in his zeal for his job decided it was fair to ticket everyone that was enjoying some Monday night exercise. Guess we were the big law breakers. Terrific community outreach officer. Again - great courts but it really put a sour taste in my mouth yesterday evening. Be careful when parking.
Kevin Gambrel: ★★
The itennis center it's located in public areas that are leased to itennis.. they have decided the way to make money is to focus on teen agers and reduce time for adult programs. Management has changed the non-member fee rules several times without much public consultation or notice. When they do out together documentation, it is vague or incomplete. Management does not take maintenance of it's web presence seriously. The itennis management team are nice people but rather poor business managers.
