Pickleball Courts – Tustin

Summary / Description

10 courts, designated by skill levels, from novice/intermediate (2.5 to 3.0) to advanced/expert (4.0 to 5.0). Open play, drop-in format. Tustin Pickleball offers a drop-in, open play format where players of all skill levels can rotate in and out of games playing with different partners and opponents throughout the session. It's a community-focused way to play, offering a relaxed environment for both novices and experienced players to enjoy the sport. Tustin pickleball schedule: Monday through Saturday 7 a.m. – 11 a.m. All levels welcome! Tustin Pickleball yearly membership: $120 for calendar year 2025. Restrooms are available 7 am – 11 am Mon-Sat. Courts remain open after 11 a.m. for public use. Non-members fee for drop-in play is $10/day. These public courts are owned by the Tustin Unified School District and are made available to Tustin Pickleball through a use permit which is purchased for open play and special event dates and times. The permit requires proof of insurance, which the club purchases. The permit also grants the club access to the School District’s restrooms and water refill station during operating hours.

PLAYER ROTATION RULES:

  • Winners stay on and losers exit and place their paddles at the end of the queue.
  • Next 2 players in the queue play the winners.
  • Rotation continues with 2 players off, 2 players on.
  • If only 1 player waiting, that player will team with 1 of the losing players.
  • Winners can stay on and win 2 games in a row.
  • After the second win, all 4 players exit and place their paddles at the end of the queue.
  • Losing players get priority in the queue ahead of the winners.
  • Rotation changes to 3 or 4 on, 3 or 4 off, when 3 or more players are waiting on each of the courts of the same skill level.
  • If only 3 players are waiting, 1 winner will stay on for the next game.
  • Winning players get priority at the end of the queue ahead of the losing players.
  • For court 9, once 3 or more players are waiting, rotation becomes 3 or 4 on/off.
  • For courts 1-8, once 3 or more players are waiting on each court in the row, rotation becomes 3 or 4 on/off for that row.
  • Court 10 is a “Challenge Court” for advanced/expert players in which the above rotation rules do not apply.
  • Regardless of the number of players waiting, winners on court 10 can stay on and win up to 3 games in a row.

NOTICE:

  • To maintain balanced competition and fun for all, if you lose 2 games by 7 or more points, you need to move down a level.
  • When there are 5 or more players waiting on your court, games are shortened to 9 points, win by 1.

Yung Min: ★★★★★
Great place to play. Several courts. People are nice. I wish they had lights for night play
josh kim: ★★★★★
Nice courts, do not need to pay here. No lights here, so when the sunsets games are no more. They have beginners, intermediate, and advanced areas. 3 each court. 9 courts total with gating on each court. The entrance is at the street side sidewalk. Rules posted on each court and entrance.
Felecia Fig: ★★★★★
Wonderful pickleball courts. Easy to distinguish lines/colors. Membership or drop in rates apply. Organized by skill levels. Friendly local crowds.
Lovespitbulls: ★★★★★
Great club, 10 newly resurfaced courts, on site court cam, drop in pay to play m-sun.
Enrico P: ★★★★
Great courts and skill levels but a glaring drawback is the lack of all-day restrooms, especially since you're paying to play.
Arlene Lum: ★★★★★
Excellent pickleball courts for all levels. There is club play in the mornings from ?7am -11am but otherwise it’s a free public court. The club is worth it if you like pickleball as it’s ~$100/year and there are lots of pickup games for all levels in the mornings at the best times to play.
Cheri “Bella” Isabella: ★★★★★
Loads of dedicated courts with each its own paddle line-up. Bathrooms are located 200 yards away at the public school. There is free street parking, but it can fill up, especially in the mornings and afternoons. More free parking is available further away.
Ryan Suzuki: ★★★★
Updated: Good, but no lights for evening play. Can't reserve courts.

Best place to play very early morning pickleball Mon-Sat but need to pay a day fee or join Tustin Pickleball, which is the best deal around compared to all the other private clubs in OC! Courts are separated by skill level and most everyone is welcoming.

Great courts, no lighting, plenty of parking around.

Every year, the annual membership price increases, yet the quality stays mixed. In a few ways it improves, but other ways it declines. Improvements: more festivities (potlucks), friendly faces, and provisions. Declines: weekend mornings get more and more crowded, yet the price isn't getting cheaper. The more crowded it gets, the cheaper it should be, in my personal opinion. The wait gets too miserably long, I shouldn't be paying over $50/yr just to wait 20-40 mins between games. Paying a high price, I wish for high-quality back-to-back games. Cons: No water, restrooms, or lights. (Restrooms and water only open during 7-11am). Tricky parking situation sometimes. At TPA potlucks, the majority of foods are just unhealthy suger-overload treats. Not much protein or fiber for good nutrition and sustenance.
Kelly: ★★
Good courts but they selectively charge certain people a $5 fee when entering
Melanie Weng: ★
Not free anymore. 3-7pm charges $5 drop in fee.

Rentals only
