Great pickup basketball for OGs over 30+ on Sundays from 5pm to 9pm. Show up, write your name on the whiteboard team lists, and rotate to play on the court. Challengers play on the challenge court, and winners stay on the victors court. 5 on 5, all 1s, either timed or play to 9 baskets. Great place to catch a game.

Very good basketball and boxing gym. Kid, adult, and family friend friendly. The coaches and participants are one of a kind. Really gives a HomeTown kind of vibe! $5 a day or $75 for a 100 day pass. My children love it here and so do I!

Pretty solid indoor gym in Vacaville! I've dropped in a few times mainly for badminton ($7 per session), and it's been a great experience overall. The space is clean, well-maintained, and has a good number of courts for basketball, boxing, and badminton. Even when it's busy, the layout makes it feel organized and not too chaotic. For badminton, they do provide rackets but it is first come first serve: The staff is always friendly and helpful, which adds to the welcoming vibe. There's also a vending machine for quick snacks or drinks, which comes in handy during longer sessions. Only downside is that parking can be a bit tight when it gets crowded, so plan to arrive early if you can. I'm not sure if the $7 drop-in applies to all sports or just badminton, so it's worth calling ahead if you're interested in something else. Overall, a great place to get active indoors! Would definitely recommend it for casual or more serious play.

Georgie Duke is a place that provides a great value to the community. They routinely host basketball camps for kids in addition to leagues for both children and adults, and also cater to the badminton community by providing open gym hours five days a week (Tue/Thur mornings, Fri/Sat evenings, and Sunday mid-day). I am in the camp of those who play in the evenings, and I am always pleased with the folks who come through. It is not an ideal setting for competitive play, since the floors are a bit slippery and the lighting often hangs directly above the courts. But the people are great, and the hours go late enough to where it is easy to get a rigorous workout. There are also affordable vending machines, and the location is super close to a lot of bars and restaurants that you can head to when the workout is over. I don't care if it isn't regulation. I love playing here, and I have been for years. I don't plan on quitting any time soon!

Facilities and staff are great. Very accessible if you are living in Fairfield or Vacaville. They offer different kind of sports. The community is very friendly.

Have been going to the Duke center for multiple sporting events. This place is great for the community offering a safe and secure location. I've always found that the folks that work at the center are extremely helpful and outgoing. Thanks for doing so much for Vacaville

Great place to play Badminton. They offer several days per week! I onow its a basketball gym, but they play badminton here, 6 courts led by the famous Becky Lum as head coach! Its not expensive to play, and they provide birdies and rackets.
Jashryl T: ★★★★★
Great environment, I really love how close it is to home, otherwise we would have to drive out a couple of hours to get to a place with badminton courts. Staff maintains the building and the courts fairly well. Overall, really pleased with what we get for such low prices.

Just randomly discovered that they have badminton five days a week! Open to all and super friendly group. I go alone or with my husband and always am invited to play games. The skill level ranges from beginners to a handful of A/B players. It's never so busy that you have to wait more than 15 minutes to play. There are 6 courts that are set up. They've been around for years! The hours are Tues and Thurs 8:30 to 11:30 am (mostly older ladies) Friday 6-10pm (large range in skill level but most everyone comes on Fridays. Sat 4-8pm and Sun 2-6pm (lighter mixed crowd). I love this community of players and I've been playing in the Bay Area from 1996 to 2005. Also it's $4 to drop in and cash only. Staffers are nice and the courts are always set up for you.

A pretty decent place to play pickleball when it's wet outside. They keep the thermostat a bit too high for exercise and the overrun space is pretty minimal when setup for pickleball but they can do as many as 6 courts in a pinch. They also have basketball, badminton, ping pong and other activities- see the city's website for the schedule.

Not family friendly. They sell snacks but you are unable to enjoy them inside. It's very old and dated and probably should be bulldozed at this point.

Used to go to this place all the time. Then I ran into a guy who works the front desk, and is a major teenie bopper d**k head. I've been going here for a while, maybe longer than he's been alive, and even on Fridays without class, and today, Friday June 19, 2015, he says he can't let me in due to no coach. Yet he has let me in time and time again before today... Sorry he says. He's not the least bit sorry. I drive from Oakland to Vacaville to box. He's lucky I didn't knock him out. Probably won't suggest going here to anyone. And I am sure I won't be back due to today. Plus they hiked the price to $4 a day.
