I love playing pickleball here. Clean courts and organized open play. Nice people and vibe.

We love Brengle Terrace Park and live right across from it. The theater has great shows and musicals and the pickleball courts are being upgraded and expanded. Great playground and frisbee golf too. Yes! This is a dog friendly park with plenty of paths to walk, even a botanical garden as mentioned. NO! This is not an off lease dog park. Please stop bringing your dogs and letting them off leash in this park. It is illegal. It doesn’t matter if you think your dog is different. There are rules and laws in place that are there to protect people and other dogs. That being said it would be amazing if the park added a fenced off leash area / proper dog park here.

Massive and beautiful park!! Went for pickleball. There are only 4 courts and it gets crowded but every time ive been everyone is good about rotating. They have lights that you can turn on after sunset.
Chris Mountain: ★★★★★
This place is great for pickleball! Ray Ray and Gary organize the play from 7am-12pm seven days a week. Any and everybody is welcome. All ages and all levels. Just give them your paddle, and they set up the games with equal abilities. Everybody is very nice. It's a family atmosphere. There are also groups that play in the late afternoons. There are lights that can be turned on a timer. There are 4 full-time dedicated courts. Generally there are 25-30 people playing here.
Julia V.: ★★★★★
Nice paved walkways around the perimeter of park, played free pickleball and it was a blast with wonderful people, saw they had tennis players too, and also saw frisbee golf. What a fun place! There's a slide and playground for kiddos by the vale terrace street side.
Brett Tripp: ★★★★★
Easily the best pickle courts I have played at. I have been coming since before they expanded the amount of courts and it has added to the enjoyability. Do not be intimidated if you are new as they have courts for all skill levels! 99% of the people I have played with have been very friendly. There have been occasions where some will bring sunscreen, food, or drinks for others. This is the ultimate third place. Be courteous to others and don't take the games too seriously and you will have a great time! Restrooms: Behind the pickleball courts and right of the baseball field there is a men's and women's restroom. Picnic area: There are some picnic tables located behind the pickleball courts.
Mike Rodriguez: ★★★★★
Fairly new to pickleball. Went here for my second attempt at structured play. There are 12 courts, seems like they are split up for 4 beginner, 4 intermediate, and 4 advanced challenge courts. Most people are very nice and willing to help and teach new players. There are a handful who are way too serious for a game with the word pickle in it, but not enough to ruin the experience. Definitely recommend for all levels of player.

Fun group of pickleball people and 12 courts!

Pickleball courts are awesome. Still awaiting for a proper paddle system
Benjamin Wallace: ★★★★
The nets and lines at these courts are well maintained, but the courts are a little dirty and don't seem to be cleaned often. One court in particular had dirt runoff that had spilled onto the area inside the enclosure but not the court itself. This dirt did not affect play directly but it got the balls dirty and was a slip hazard. It remained on the court for months. Other than not being cleaned enough these are nice courts (6 tennis courts and two pickleball courts).

Do yourself a favor and take some lessons from Heide Clay! She is kind, patient, and very knowledgeable on all aspects of tennis. I highly recommend lessons for small children all the up way to older adults

Local park in Vista with some alternate sporting events. Multiple baseball parks, basketball courts, Bocce ball lanes, tennis, pickle ball courts, sand volleyball area, and a full course for Frisbee golf. Multiple picnic areas and playgrounds for children. Those isla walking distance to the Alta Vista Botanical Gardens. This is a must go to.... Although not a trailhead to hike, there is a small trail walk area, where one can cross a cute bridge over raging....uhm dirt and sand....

The entire grounds of Brengle Terrace Park is huge! We spend almost 3 hours here and could have easily spent even longer. We played on the playground and then went up the hill to the Alta Vista Botanical Gardens. See my next post for more info about the gardens. 📍1200 Vale Terrace Dr, Vista, CA 92084 💰This park is free 🚙Plenty of parking spaces in multiple lots 🎠1 playground but no swings. The ground is a rubber/mulch surface mix and it is shaded with canopies 🚽Restrooms 🧺Multiple picnic tables scattered around the park grounds and a few pavilions and gazebos with more tables 🪑Park benches at playground and scattered through park 🖼Many of the open lawns are a part of the disc golf and have gofer holes and dirt patches so it’s not ideal for a picnic blanket 🥾Mini dirt hiking trails with bridges and paved paths along the creek 🌷Botanical gardens 🥏Frisbee golf ⚾️ Baseball fields 🏀Basketball courts 🎾Tennis courts 🏏Pickle ball courts 🏆Bocce ball courts

Solid park with a lot of facilities. Tennis, pickleball, playground, picnic areas, horseshoes, room to walk and jog. I wish they had swings and cleaned up massive dog craps a little more...but other than that, lovely little park. We often grab lunch and come here for some sun or shade under a tree.

Brengle Terrace Park is the probably the best park in the city of Vista. There are baseball fields, outdoor and indoor basketball courts, tennis courts, indoor recreational facilities, playgrounds, picnic tables, plenty of greenspace, public restrooms in various places, frisbee golf and more. This is also the location for the Moonlight Amphitheater. There are plenty of places kids to play, and lots of nice areas for adults to walk or run around. There are even some large covered pavilions for parties and such, but you might want to contact someone at the city to see if you need to reserve the space. There is also plenty of handicap parking and ramps to various places.
Ankit Patel: ★★★★
Located on Vale Terrace Drive in Vista, Brengle Terrace Park is an often overlooked community resource conveniently situated in the downtown area near many of the city’s most popular hotels. The park features a variety of amenities, including lighted tennis and basketball courts, a playground, covered picnic areas, restrooms, and bocce ball courts. Brengle Terrace Park also hosts several events throughout the year, including the city’s Independence Day celebration and live entertainment at the Moonlight Amphitheatre. It’s also a great place for a casual morning or afternoon stroll, and during the work week, it gets surprisingly little foot traffic.
Melissa Hornbeck: ★★★★
Great park with a beautiful view. Inside is a very nice little botanical garden call Alta Vista. They have a disc golf course and amphitheater. I has many hills to walk your dogs but the terrain is a little uneven on the grassy areas. Also there is shuffle board and Veteran's Garden at the top, basketball courts, children's playground, baseball fields, tennis courts and a community center. Something for everyone!
Al Ameen K: ★★★★★
If you want to walk up and down the hills this is the place. There will be at least one of the tennis courts available every time I was there, never disappointed. The city of Vista has a lot of programs in this park check out their website.

It's a great park for playing tennis or baseball. Their's a playground and also that frisbee game is set up around the park. The bathroom are dirty and you have some homeless people wandering sometimes. Nice place to take your does for a walk. You can reserve tables and grill areas for parties.

This is my favorite park! It's so big you can always find a nice private spot to have a picnic or a quite moment for yourself. It was a great playground for kids, a tennis court, basketball, an outdoor theater, and beautiful gardens. It's a great place to spend a day.
Kristin Marie Smith: ★★★★★
Beautiful park, well maintained with lots of space and activities (baseball diamonds, tennis courts, playgrounds, frisbee golf, etc) for all ages. Also home to a fantastic botanical garden and the Moonlight Amphitheater. We run around this park on a regular basis and it's always humming with people and animals enjoying the space.

Brengle Terrace Park is not flat like most parks but has rolling hills. It also has a small indoor recreation center. Outside has basketball and tennis courts. There is a small botanical garden with a $5 donation you can stroll through. The biggest feature is the Moonlight outdoor amphitheatre which puts on quality plays and some cover band concerts.
DANIELA M: ★★★★★
This is a very big park. Has a few tennis courts. Disk golf (frisbee) all around. Plenty of open space. Also there is two play sets for children. At the top is a very relaxing garden filled with art installations.

The park has a lot to offer. From family picnic areas to tennis courts, to basketball, baseball, freezby golf, you name it. There is a nice botanical garden at the too of the hill, entry fee $5. And, of course, the Moonlight Amphitheater that offers
Joshua Sheets: ★★★★★
Hands down my favorite park to play disc golf and take my dog. Always feels like home and is just so beautifully laid out from the tennis courts and amphitheater, to the 18 hole course, and the botanical gardens rested atop a gorgeous view overlooking Vista! An A+ for the record books, so give the course a shot, smiles are free.

Honestly it's an awesome park to come play some sports. They have tennis courts, basketball area, baseball field, kids playground, disc golf baskets all around the park. Its a pretty clean park all around. Really recommended it .
Elizabeth Cortez: ★★★★
Brengle Terrace is a good place to bring a blanket and just lay in the grass read a book or bring a picnic lunch. There is a free disc park. There is a shop next to the soft ball fields where you can either rent or buy the equipment you'll need. If you find a disc on the ground, leave it. Chances are a player will come retrieve it shortly. They are pretty good about seeking and retrieving those. There are tennis courts as well. First come, first served. I think there's an option to reserve a court. Check with the parks and recreation dept. In the activity center I've seen Zumba classes offered. Stop by to see what they currently offer. Take the first entrance to the park, go left and you'll see the building on your right. The Moonlight Theatre (outdoor) is in the park. Check online for the schedule or walk up to view current shows. The park has picnic tables around the entire park, bbq pits, clean restrooms, and a nice children's playground. Fun for the entire family!
