1 tennis court, 4 dedicated pickleball courts with lights in Tuffree Hill Park in Placentia, California. Courts are new and well maintained. Some shade from trees on the tennis court. Busy from 8:00 am through 12:00 and 4:00 pm to closing everyday. There is no divider between tennis and pickleball courts, and they are somewhat close to one another. Pickleball players can sometimes overwhelm the courts. Not very welcoming for new coming tennis and pickleball players.
Pickleball Challenge Courts
Pickleball Court #1
How it works:
- Winners of the game stay on the court and play challengers.
- MAXIMUM of 3 straight wins. After a 3rd win, all 4 players are off & the next 4 players are on.
(This rule shall only apply when NO courts are empty) - If only 2 paddies are waiting, all 4 players are off and the winners of the last game have paddle priority. Therefore wining team can choose to play the challengers or allow the losing team to play.
- Challengers pick their side.
- When a winning team and a losing team both leave the court, the winning team has priority placement
at the paddle rack. - When Court 1 paddle racks is FULL, gameplay shall be 4 up 4 down until no longer full.
Pickleball Court #2
How it works:
- Place your paddle in the paddle rack that corresponds with the court number you would like to play on. When the current game finishes, all 4 players will come off of the court and the next 4 players will go on.
- If less than 4 players are waiting for a given court, then previous players may stay on the court to provide a total of 4 players. Winners of the previous game have priority on who will stay, however if only 1 is needed then the winners will have to decide who stays on.
Groups: - If you would like to keep a group together to play together, feel free to skip enough spaces on the rack to make sure that your group can play in a game together. Others will fill in the gaps between the next group and your group.
Warm Up: - Please keep warm ups to no more than 3 min. A placeholder may be used in lieu of your paddle in the rack to allow for off court warm ups while you wait.
Pickleball Court Rules
- No more than 1 paddle per person may be up at a time in any of the paddle racks.
- Courts are prioritized for gameplay.
- Please refrain from blocking a court for drilling unless empty courts exist.
- If courts fill up, please limit drilling time to a 10 min block and then free up the court for the next game.
Tennis Court Rules
- No pickleball allowed on tennis courts.
- Please utilize tennis courts for only tennis.
