This is suburban-style park, indicative of the Southern California style of city planning. Most noticeable are 3 baseball diamonds, tennis courts Handball and Basketball courts and very large open grass field. There is a playground, and paved walk path going around the park. Next to the tennis courts is an oval field, perhaps for track and field events. There are lots of pergolas for shade for the hottest days. It is a very safe area with no sign of gang activity. This is not a ghetto area at all.

This park is nice and beautiful. With a couple of wonderful playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball court, baseball courts, etc. Playground: 2 very nice playgrounds, one for the little ones and one with bigger and smaller kids. Restrooms: The park have nice restrooms, usually pretty clean and have toilet paper. Dog-friendliness: Very much dog friendly. A lot of the neibers take their dogs there for a walk. Picnic area: Many places for picnic and also have 3 shelters on a first come first serve basis.

Cerritos Park East is truly a gem in the heart of Cerritos! This expansive 32-acre park offers something for everyone. The beautifully maintained baseball diamonds, basketball courts, tennis courts, and handball courts are perfect for sports enthusiasts. The vibrant playgrounds and splash pads are a delight for kids, while the picnic shelters and walking paths provide serene spots for family gatherings and relaxation. The community center is a hub for activities and events, making it an ideal venue for celebrations. The cleanliness, accessibility, and friendly staff make it a standout destination for both locals and visitors. Whether you’re looking for active fun or a peaceful stroll, Cerritos Park East is the perfect place to enjoy the outdoors.

The appeal of this park is that it has a bit of everything but is smaller than most parks. This park has a couple of basketball courts, about four tennis courts, an indoor swimming pool (though, the hours are a bit quirky), handball courts (not team handball, but the one where you use your hand to hit the ball against a wall), a rubberized track (about 5 laps is a mile, as the distance of one lap is less than a standard 400 meter track), baseball fields, a couple of playgrounds, and picnic table areas. I personally come here a lot for the track for my running workouts. The track can get crowded on evenings, but navigating and weaving in between people usually isn't an issue. Walkers generally stay towards the outside of the track, while the runners tend to stay towards the inside of the track. If the track isn't your thing, there is also a circular-ish pathway around the park (and I think it is about a half mile if you take the long way). Just a note about the bathrooms, though. Even though the park closes around 10 PM, I've noticed that the bathrooms tend to close a lot earlier (closer to 9 PM or so). That caught me by surprise a few times, so be mindful of the possibility that the bathrooms might close before the park closes. Parking can get a bit hairy on a few of the weekday evenings (I think it's because of swimming lessons for kids), so something to keep in mind. However, circling around the parking lot a few times usually does the trick. Overall, a great park that offers a lot for its smaller size (compared to other parks).

Love spending time here with my family the kids love it. They have basketball courts, tennis courts, hand ball courts, baseball fields, play ground for kids, plenty of picnic benches and full size track. Although most things are closed because of covid the tennis courts are open and so is the track. The other things are closed. The took the rims off the basketball courts. It’s still great to get out doors and get some fresh air and exercise. Nice clean park for everyone to enjoy.
TomM: ★★★★★
Great track with rubberized surface, decent walking trail (paved) great baseball fields and playgrounds. Tennis courts, basketball courts and the swim center are all located here as well. Meeting rooms available through the city park's department.
Jonathan Kim: ★★★★★
One of the best parks in Cerritos as they have it all, baseball fields, track, tennis courts, basketball courts, handball courts, recreation center, swimming pool, gym, safe playground area, picnic areas, and a large path around the park that measures at 1/2 miles each lap. The track can get a little crowded sometimes but walkers tend to stay on the outside, letting the runners take the inside of the track. Sometimes there are some people playing soccer in the middle of the track where it's grassy so you have to something to entertain you while running. The track is .2 miles each lap, so 5 laps = 1 mile.

Cerritos Park East is tucked away in an older but charming neighborhood of Cerrtios. I love to go for walks on the track or simply around the entire park. The park always has people there enjoying themselves even as late 10pm. In door swimming pool, basketball courts, tennis courts, racket ball, baseball diamonds, are pretty inviting and popular. I caught a glimpse of this hawk and wanted to share it. Birds of prey are visible more and more now

There are lots of amenities at Cerritos Park East, including but not limited to an all-weather running track (non-regulation), paved walking path, tennis courts, squash courts, baseball fields, and soccer field. Under normal pre-pandemic circumstances, they also had a gym, swimming pool, and varieties of classes such as dance and art. On the negative side, unfortunately too many dog owners simply don't pick up after their pets.

Cerritos Park East (or CPE) is a suburban city park located in Cerritos. CPE has several amenities such as a 360m rubber walking track, an olympic training indoor pools, numerous tennis courts, four baseball fields, and a central recreational building. I always like to run around the park and on the track with my school's running team. At night the park is well light which provides a nice late- night environment for walkers, joggers, etc.

This park is pretty big. It has a running track for sprinters and joggers. I visited for tennis. They have 4 to 5 courts with lights for night. You need to reserve to access these courts. The courts are pretty decent as well. Found a few cracks but overall was fine. This park is pretty busy at dusk.

The park is spacious, clean, and well-maintained, offering plenty of green space for picnics and outdoor activities. The playground is a hit with the kids, and the sports facilities are great for a game of tennis or basketball. There’s also a nice walking trail that’s perfect for a leisurely stroll. Overall, Cerritos Park East is a lovely, relaxing place to enjoy some fresh air and sunshine.

Nice park, well maintained. WORKING WATER FOUNTAINS, the paths are a bit "meh" but they do the job. It doubles as a sports complex so there are a lot of people, some table areas have sinks and outlets, as well as shaded seats. The restrooms are bad but that is in every park so no surprise there. Good place to take a nap, just lock your belongings somewhere safe.

David Vee: ★★★
Great park. Extremely clean and ok staff. Awesome place to throw birthday parties for children. It would be nice if the staff didn’t hover over you (after renting out an area). We get it; don’t damage the property. However, this city makes a lot of money. I’m sure a thumb tack won’t hurt wood.
Brian Lee: ★★★
We had a reception at CPE. Parking is always a problem. The room for the reception was fine. The employees working the desk had no personality. We were told that there would be help cleaning up afterwards, but there wasn't any help. No more functions at CPE.
Viking Riot: ★★★
Staff is friendly, janitorial is rude. Park is clean, but needs to be better lit at night where the kids play on the play equipment.
Fred E: ★★★
Great park, just a shame they only allow reservations for locals of Cerritos excluding all other neighboring cities.
Vik Riot: ★★★
Clean a lot of kids so have to walk my dog on the outside great parking
Cindy Grand: ★★★
Its okay but now its too crowded so you can hardly enjoy it
