Title: A Gem in La Jolla - Five Stars! I recently started staying at La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club for my corporate travel over the last four months, and I have been pleasantly surprised by how amazing it is in every single way! My newfound passion for tennis has been greatly supported here. My tennis instructor, T, was incredibly accommodating, offering early lessons at 6:30 AM, which is quite rare in the tennis community. What truly blew me away was the dedication of Doug, the tennis master. He went above and beyond by setting up the tennis ball machine for me at 6 AM, even coming in on his day off to make it happen. He texted me in advance to let me know he would be there, which really impressed me! The accommodations have been fantastic. The Marine Room by the water is the perfect way to start the day, just a 45-second walk to the beach and a minute to breakfast by the ocean. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The receptionists have also gone out of their way to assist me in finding a tennis instructor who could meet my early morning schedule. Overall, I am ecstatic with the service here and excited to become a lifelong customer. Highly recommend La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club to anyone looking for a great stay!

Everything about this stay was incredible! My husband and I went for a babymoon and loved every minute of it. The room was right on the water, there were so many activities on site, and the service was friendly everywhere we went. I cannot recommend this La Jolla stay enough! Ideal for any occasion from a couple's getaway to a family vacation.

Very disappointed, they were kicking families off the beach in front of the hotel, I will not stay there again, you got to respect and share the beach just cause folks can't afford to stay here they should be allowed to sit wherever there is space, you suck! So un-California Thanks for the response. While you are technically correct I don't think that you are understanding the spirit of the property you work at. They staff should be trained better and use better judgement as I mentioned we were asked to move on a day when there was almost no one there and the tide was quite high. I not suggesting you let people site on your furniture but I truly believe that even though you own that part of the beach not enforcing that would be more beneficial to the hotels image long term.

Do not book here. We were placed in an area of the hotel that is completely under construction and no one should have been booked in this part of the hotel. Any owner/manager with an ounce of professionalism and/or ethics would not place paying customers in a construction zone. Not only was it noisy, dirty, and felt unsafe, management and hotel staff did not care one bit. It was blatantly deceptive. Had I been aware of the construction, I never would have booked this hotel. Location is excellent, on our favorite beach in San Diego. That did not make up for the overall hotel experience. I did not receive any recognition of my complaint during my stay. I requested a change in room and was minutes from receiving it when the request was denied. Clearly, La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club is functioning under Management who does not have the interest of its patrons in mind.
