Love this lake. Especially during the spring time because of all the nesting birds. You also get to see the bird families grow up. The lake is 1 mile. Perfect for families events. They have little grills and picnic tables. There is also a watering hole to swim in starting around memorial day. For the kiddos there is a playground. The park also has tennis courts. Have to pay for parking a car. Negatives: Lots of poop due to all the geese Have to pay to walk around the lake during late spring/summer

I go here all the time mostly to walk and play disc golf. The place is popular but not overcrowded. It does cost $3 to enter, unless you have an $85 annual pass. The bird life here and other wildlife is quite exceptional for an suburban setting. A great asset to the community that the parks department works hard at keeping up. Activities here also include, running (1 mile track around the lake), picnicking, tennis, child playground, pickle ball, BBQ, parties (there is a gazebo). There is a small disc golf shop that sells hundreds of discs, and light snacks, like ice cream, cold drinks, coffee and a few sundry items. The disc golf course is quite popular. So take note you may be waiting especially on weekends.

This is a beautiful place to take kids and see nature. They have a playground and tennis nets too. Despite what the website says, they are NOT dog friendly. We learned this the hard way when we took our dog after checking the website to make sure it was ok. There was a single sign in one area that said dogs are not allowed, but given the conflicting information on their website, we assumed that it was only for that specific area and went to a different area. A local Karen group approached us and informed us that the lake is not dog friendly, but because my dog was leashed and seemed well-behaved, they would give us a pass. Not two seconds later, we were approached by a different person who also told us we could not be there. We ended up leaving rather than being harassed every five min by people who are in no way in charge or affiliated with park services. I double-checked the site, and it still says that dogs are allowed, so I am unsure of which is the correct info and have left a message for parks and rec to update their website with accurate info so that other families don't run into this issue in the future. We are not from here and drove 45 min to go here. If we'd known the dog was going to be an issue, we would have made other arrangements for him.

This is a great family park with LOTS to Do! We took our two toddler sons (2 & 3) here for the first time and they had a blast. We had a nice picnic lunch while we watched the birds in the lake. Unfortunately, you CANNOT feed the birds. There is also a lot of bird poo on the trails so it's difficult to maneuver on the walking trail with wandering little children. CPL has a great playground for little kids. It even features a rock climbing wall which was a big hit. There are also some very nice tennis courts at the park. Oh and don't forget fishing...you can actual fish at the park! There were so many beautiful different types of birds at this lake. I really enjoyed seeing them, especially the large white and black swans that swam around the lake together. FYI: There were signs that stated you had to pay $3.00 per person for residents and $5.00 per person for non residents. We did not pay because no one was working the booth and we didn't see another place to pay at. Highly recommend checking this park out...it is unique and fun for the entire family.

Morning walks are favored most in this beautiful nature reserve. Teaming with incredible scenes of newborn goslings, baby ducklings, snapping turtles, muskrats and otters. Fishing is catch/release, pickle ball and tennis enjoyed along with a great disk golf course for friends and the family. Established walking trails with distance markers for tracking. Snack bar and restrooms too! Great day spot for picnicking.

Great family place. Playground for the kids, tennis courts, swim lake with beach entry. Great place to go to take a walk around the 1 mile trail around the lake. Lots of benches around the lake to sit and watch the ducks, geese and swans. Or to have a long talk with a friend. Kind of pricey in season when they start charging admission though.

Fishing not great, but 10x better than the Bass lake regional mud puddle near by. All areas groomed and well maintained. Nice place for family a picnic. Lots of tables, plenty of shade, play structures, tennis, walking trail, disc golf. Well done CP.
Crystal Douglas Lopez: ★★★★
1 mile around lake with dirt trails but stroller friendly, tennis courts, large gazebo, and playground. Generally well maintained. Entrance could be odd if you're unfamiliar with where the park is.
Stephanie Silva: ★★★★★
Such a nice area to take an easy 1 mile walk. Peaceful with all the swans, ducks, turtles and wildlife around. Also has tennis courts and a well maintained playground.

Nice 1 mile walk around the lake. Level path. They also have playground and tennis courts. Bummer that the charge to get in starting May thru the summer. It's free the rest of the year

We always enjoy our visits to the lake, the playground, and the tennis courts. My only complaint, which I know is an "impossible to fix"kind of complaint, would be the goose poop everywhere.
Adam Krueger: ★★★★
Small lake with lots of 1 and 2 pound bass. nothing big. Also there's tennis and BBQs and a new disc golf course that doesn't suck.
