Lions Park in Placerville, CA, is quite a gem. She's a beaut! The park was dedicated in 1968 by the Placerville Lion's Club. 24 acre park with two tennis courts, four pickle ball courts, two softball fields, frisbee disc golf course, children's play area, restroom, walking trail, and picnic tables and bbqs. The courts are locked though. City residents can purchase a key from the City's Parks and Recreation Office to access the courts. The park was extremely clean and well maintained. On my weekend visit, I was surprised to see a groundskeeper working on a weekend afternoon. He was no slacker. No wonder this place was so neat and tidy.
Mary Rebikone: ★★★★★
I really enjoy this park because it offers two separate playgrounds—one for younger kids and another for older children—which makes it great for families with kids of different ages. There are also plenty of picnic tables and grills, making it a perfect spot for gatherings. Additionally, the park features tennis and pickleball courts nearby. You can purchase a key for the lock for just $10 at 249 Main Street. The key is renewed or returned once a year, which is a convenient and affordable system. The park is clean, well-maintained, and offers something for everyone, whether you’re looking to play, relax, or enjoy a picnic outdoors.
Christopher Bodiford: ★★★★★
Lovely park with pickleball and frisbey golf. You will need to use the pickleball courts when someone else is there because they lock the courts. You can pay $10 for a lifetime key to use the courts. You go to city hall in downtown Placerville to get it!

Love this park! There is lots to do here! There are two baseball fields, two play structures for children, disc golf course, a large covered picnic area, loads of tables and seating scattered around the park, plenty of parking two restroom facilities, and a tennis court! We have hosted a couple of birthday parties here also. Great place to take the kids or just have a relaxing meal. Socialize with friends play some games and have fun. 10 out of 10 would recommend!
Shandry Ryll: ★★★★★
Great park! Grass is beautifully kept as are the general grounds around the park. They have a covered gazebo area with 4 large picnic tables, easily accessible water spigot & a huge BBQ pit. All which can be rented out for parties for a fairly decent price (with deposit) I've had many parties here... There is an upper & lower baseball field both which are very well kept. Tennis courts are nice & the play structures in the park area are the most decent out of all the parks here in town. I bring my 9 yr old to play in the kids area, while my teenager sits peacefully in the shade on a picnic bench drawing & my hubby is over in the frisbee disc golf area having his fun. GREAT multi-purpose park! Baseball games are also SO FUN to watch. Some killer players here in our lil town. This park is a Win-Win in my families book. Also pet friendly (just please clean up after them💩😊) Con: Bathrooms could use some updating. 😌

Great to take the kids to softball games are always going on here they have a few little hikes and a few courts basketball basketball and tennis. They also have multiple different restroom facilities. There's a big Frisbee golf course multiple different fields a hidden mine to explore for the daring. Growing up there's a little ghost story about a miner that walks the grounds at night so as a teen we would be out late hoping to catch a glimpse of this spooky story. Great to walk dogs play fetch but just don't let them after the disc golfers like I did accidentally. The play ground is big but ty you'll have to watch your toddlers they will go for the big kid playground. Lions park is always clean as well. It's a really good cheap way for birthday events, partys, potlucks, barbeques, and ect.

Lions Park is always a great place to go with the family for a picnic, a game of tennis or disc/frisby golf, take the little ones to play, or kick back and watch two local softball teams play ball... this park is kept up well and the bathrooms and grounds are always clean.
Ian Ludden: ★★★★
Beautiful park with drinking fountians, 2 baseball diamonds, a play ground, a couple tennis courts, and a 9 hole disc golf course behind all of that. 2 public bathrooms, but 1 is as far away from everything as it could be, and the other is closer to all the attractions is usually locked.
Jesse Williams: ★★★★
Nice park. Fun disc golf course but lots of elevation change. Good playground for the kids, tennis courts and 2 softball diamonds. Great place for the family
Vaughan Cook: ★★★★★

great park for softball, hikes, Frisbee golf, tennis and a nice play structure

A very nice park but there's a major safety concern with one of the slides on the play structure. There is a gaping hole with sharp plastic edges precisely where one's rear goes. Nothing here to stop someone from running up the stairs, located opposite the damaged slide, and sliding down. Anyone, adult or child who uses this slide WILL get hurt! I reported this issue to the City of Placerville. Hopefully it will be repaired soon.
Lindsey Mitchell: ★★★
Nice park, but unfortunately you couldn't call the tennis courts "public". They are kept locked, and a key will cost you $20/year, if you contact the park service in advance. This information is not posted at the site, I had to search the internet to find it. So essentially a wasted trip for me.
