I signed up my child for swimming lessons here since my closest YMCA no longer exists. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. We visit every Saturday for the past month and it's been a pleasant experience every time. We are considering signing up for the gym membership as well later on!

The 9:45am M-Th Silver Sneakers class with Marsha O. is great! Not only is it a great range of types of exercise each class, she is very understanding of each individual's capabilities to which she demonstrates safe options/modifications for those needing it. She has a strong and solid background along with necessary certifications. She makes this Silver Sneakers class of hers a ton of fun too. 😊

Nice staff, clean gym, pool, bathrooms. Pool is heated and lockers are always available. The swimming lessons for kids are great the instructors are nice and it’s pretty well organized. It’s a bit small but the things they do have are well maintained.

Great for weight lifting. Not usually crowded and everyone puts away the weights when they are done with them. Pool is nice.

Mostly good. The workout and cardio rooms are clean but the equipment is very limited. If you don't have a problem working out next to old guys, this is the place for you.

You can’t even swim here since the pool is always too full - don’t recommend

Extremely disappointed with the swim program at YMCA Chino. We pulled our child out with four classes still remaining even though they don’t offer refunds. We would rather give up the remaining classes than continue wasting time here. The entire operation is very disorganized and unprofessional. Coaches are frequently rotated, and many coaches are clearly unprepared. One coach even asked the kids what swimming level they were at after the class had already started — this is not just careless, it is completely unacceptable. The class arrangement is extremely chaotic. Six kids were squeezed into one narrow swim lane, with no enough space for real learning. It felt chaotic from start to end. This is not an environment where kids can truly learn to swim or build confidence in the water. If your child likes swimming and you take swim instruction seriously, please don’t waste your time and money at YMCA Chino

I am no local guide. I am not sponsor, endorse or paid. My opinion is my own and legit. You get what you pay for. Chino Valley YMCA needs a major overhaul exterior, especially interior of the building. Starting at the locker room. Lockers deteriorated since the 1970s. I wouldn't be caught dead using the men's restroom rather I'll be using the pool because at least I know it gets clean. I have better luck finding exercise equipment at a yard sale. Four out of five treadmills was out of order. No kids club was available. The rules are not consistent between Chino Valley YMCA and Upland YMCA despite being the same director. On the plus side the only reason we continue to be members is because the membership fees are affordable for a family of four compared to the others. There you have it folks you can make up your own decision whether you choose be a member at the YMCA. P.S. I remember the YMCA had strong values and it was closed on Sundays do to church service. The values are now diminish and it's run like a business. P.S. 2019 I mention to the director regarding the inconsistency rules both YMCA Chino and Upland. Also regarding the Chino locker rooms upkeep. In which it seems it came to a surprise to him.

Our experience is with the Preschool Swim Classes 1 and 2. They literally do nothing in their class. Without any community pools in the area, we have no other access to a pool. Hence the 2 stars for access to a pool. 0 stars for coach Nicole who does nothing.
