Best Tennis courts in Chula Vista, San Diego County for 2026

Sunbow Park in Chula Vista

Summary / Description

3 tennis courts each one with their private entry and lights, clean and great to use. Gets busy. Most people do not respect the 45-60 minute limit (even when they see you patiently waiting). Other then that, great when you find an open court.

Beautiful courts! They are 3 tennis courts each one with their private entry and lights

Played Tennis with a couple friends. The quarts are well lit until 10pm. There are signs clearly posted that says if someone is waiting that the maximum time of play for 1-1 games is I believe 45min and for couples 60 minutes. I'm not 100% on those so check it out Just to be sure. (My Added observation -)There is a bench and table outside of the courts but i don't remember a grill so if you have a picnic bring prepared food.

Sunbow Park is always great!!! It’s nice and big, well kept. I would say it’s a little lonely? So if you’re going by yourself, maybe you wanna go somewhere with more people. We’ve walked my dog there plenty times! Also, they have this super helpful little sign at the start of the track that tells you how many miles you are doing for how many laps. Very convenient! There are tennis courts which are very spacious, highly recommend. No reservations are needed just go on ahead and take whichever is open. The playground is really fun too!! Lots of space and very cute. Also all around the park there are benches so yeah. 👌🏼 Overall 10/10 would recommend going with maybe some others or when it’s a bit busy.

I visited Sunbow Park for their tennis courts. Most of the time the courts are ok. Other times they have significant amount of debris (leaves, etc). Players do not respect the playtime rules when there’s others waiting. The posted rules are 45 minutes for singles, or 60 minutes for doubles, when there are people waiting. I’ve waited for almost 2 hours for singles and doubles. This is common courtesy as there’s no one there to monitor or help players comply.

Came here for the first time today. Its definitely nice and quiet....hidden from the public for sure. There's a plaque that's posted saying designed for kids aged 5-12. I have 2 kids in this age bracket and they said it's boring. Nice grass area and tennis courts. No restrooms so make sure kids are empty before coming. Don't know if we will come back because of the small play structure but love exploring our next of the woods.
