The park renovation is impressive which reopened in May 2025! I remember this park was so dated and not as inviting. But with all the new additions, resurfacing, and more, I'm sure more people will be excited to use this park. I've visited here a few times already to walk the track and get in a workout in the outdoor fitness area. There's plenty to offer at this local park. Baseball/softball fields, batting cages, eight pickleball courts, one volleyball court, one basketball court, playgrounds for older and younger kids, a marked walking/jogging track around the park that is approximately 1/2 mile for one lap. There's plenty of parking as well as EV charging spots. I noticed that there only few benches or seating areas available for resting or relaxing. There are also shaded bleachers next to the pickleball courts. There are also some covered picnic tables. Looking forward to visiting this park more!

8 brand new pickleball courts with bright LED lights at night. Courts are free to use and have individual paddle holders for cue to each court. Covered bleachers available on west side. Middle area courts lack enough sitting area for cue waiting and inhibit playing due to cue standing. There's plenty of parking adjacent courts. Echargers available next to courts. May 2025 was Grand Opening for entire park.

Update: closed for reconstruction likely until Late 2025 or early 2026 Pickleball, lights go off at 10 pm. Crowded around 7 pm to 830 pm. Not a lot of people playing before 6 pm. Most frequently people play in the morning from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Pick up pickleball here. No reservations here. Unless there are lessons on the far side court. There are a total of six courts here. Two parking lots located here. First Parking lot is next to the baseball fields. Second parking lot located next to picnic area One volleyball court next to the baseball field and parking lot. Cement flooring. Basketball courts are on the opposite side and there are no lights during the night time. There are two baseball fields total here. One next to the parking lot and the other on the four corner of the park.
Eulogio Menacho: ★★★★★
New park with a lot of amenities for the family to enjoy. The park has a basketball court, volleyball court, new pickle ball courts, park for the kids to play and plenty of parking lot.
Ken Lee: ★★★★★
Great place to play pickleball. Plenty of parking. Good vibes and community.
Janelle de Leon: ★★★★★
This park looks recently renovated and is so nice. Huge playground areas and tables, baseball field, pickleball courts, basketball court, workout area and running track around the perimeter thati believe is 1/4 mile full circle. Looks like there's even batting cages - not sure how to access it. Even the lights are censored on the walking/running track and goes super bright as you walk. I started coming here a lot now because its so nice and people are super friendly. Very good vibes and my new favourite place to take my dog on walks. Lots of parking along the perimeter. Never had an issue with parking.
Dai: ★★★★
it's a new and well equipped park with a lot of pickle ball courts, baseball field and gym equipments. especially the gym equipments are both simple and more hardcore exercises. the only cons is missing the soft run track (it is a hard one)
sydney wen: ★★★★★
Wonderful public park for pickleball. Brand new courts with plenty of parking. I'm jealous the local residents have access to such nice facilities compared to the crappy multipurpose tennis courts with temporary nets that we have in my hood. People here are open and friendly to new players too.
Dan Occa: ★★★★★
This Arnold park has 8 free wonderful pickleball courts, with good seatings for audience, good wind-break screens, 2 easy in-n-out doors on each court. Park has plenty of parking spaces, plus very nice new, clean restrooms
Sarah Reymer: ★★★★★
super good pickleball courts! people are super friendly and the courts are lit up at night!
Niles Howsare: ★★★★★
Chill park. not crowded most times. nice amount of space unless there's an event. pickle ball court, basketball court, baseball field with multiple sides and bathroom is kept open. Playground seems small and cute. Seems dog-friendly. Saw a cat there once that was super friendly and came up to me and let me pet it. The picnic area is existent but not too big.
Huy Pham: ★★★★★
Recently renovated, 2 basketball courts, baseball court, 8 lighted pickleball courts with stands; dining area. Plenty of parking, EV charge stations.

I've had many different encounters at this park over a matter of 10-12 years. (Approx.) I'm always drawn back there. Not anymore. Out with the old , I assume🥺🤔 In with the NEW!! And what is , has become very popular.. . PICKLE BALL... Time for a big change ....👍
Robert Gire: ★★★★★
Beautiful new pickleball courts x 8!! Gated, nice surrounding amenities, and friendly locals. Will definitely be back!
Clint Stear: ★★★★
It's a nice park for pickleball or having a picnic. The playground is meh. I bring my daughter here but I don't like the playground, I prefer the playground at Mackay Park off Walker St. But I do prefer Arnold for going on walks through. If you have a dog it's a good place for fetch, or if you're with a lady friend, it's a nice place to bring a blanket and look at clouds
Erica Wright: ★★★★★
Great park. It's open. Signs have rules, but people have normal interactions here. Hoops are up for basketball and the pickleball court used to be a roller skate rink. 🛼 It's perfectly flat for those who want to blade in there if no one is doing pickle ball.
David Basnett: ★★★★★
New park is awesome. Hieu and I won the first ever pickleball game on the new courts 🤙 …
SocalRaptor: ★★★★★
I hate coming here because I get reminded how much I suck at Pickleball....lol. All kidding aside, the people who play here are very nice. Sucks that the courts will be down for a significant amount of time while they reconstruct the park.
Kenny Roc: ★★★★★
Got some good game of PB here. They got the great courts to play at. Plus I saw a community of Polynesian folks put there doing their thing. Shocka

Wait times for pickleball are either insane or moderate depending on the hours.
Josefina S.: ★★★★★
Arnold park is quietly transforming into the city's liveliest pickleball hub as word spreads fast. Night time is the best time to play! Queues sit around 20 mins, but every rally is worth waiting for! The community is always so friendly and in constant motion! Lights turn off at 9:30pm daily. Perfect for both newbies and seasoned players. Wish I could gatekeep this spot.
Nathan R.: ★★★★★
Best place to play a friendly game of pickleball It's such a safe spot to bring the kids to.
Kathi F.: ★★★★★
I've been waiting for the new pickleball courts to open & it did not disappoint. The courts are well organized & so far the pickleball were friendly.
Les S.: ★★★★★
Not sure what this park looked like before the renovation but it looks great now. Been coming here with my family quite regularly after the remodel was finished. It's an activity park with several pickleball courts, basketball, volleyball, softball, and fitness area. The pickleball court is the most popular area and is always completely packed. I've never seen an open court since I've been coming here. Kids playground is also great. This place has a small zipline, which I haven't seen at other playgrounds. Plenty of parking spots, which is a must for a park.
Sam R.: ★★★★★
Renovation has completely made this park upscale. 8 pickleball courts, 3 softball fields and a kids park, it has definitely been a major boost for the community.

I noticed that there needs to be more benches or seating areas available for resting or relaxing around the park. Hopefully, that could be updated. Shaded bleachers next to the pickleball courts are also nice. There are also some covered picnic tables. I will look into the details soon if it's first-come, first-served or by reservations only. Looking forward to visiting this park more!
Daniele F.: ★★★★★
The brand new Cypress park is so clean, expansive, and beautiful. We arrived to have a picnic by the playground and the shelter and tables were clean and large enough to fit everyone. The equipment was colorful, fun, and had space for a lot of kids. I can't wait to watch the softball/baseball games on the beautiful green fields. My son loves playing Pickleball and Wiffleball on the front side and back of the park. Thank you for recreating a place close to home where the kids and adults can play, rest, and eat comfortably.
Brian T.: ★★★★
Arnold Cypress Park is a solid local park! I don't spend much time in Cypress, but as I have recently picked up pickleball, my friends introduced me to this park. It's almost a hidden gem! There are both big and small parking lots, as well as street parking. You'll find plenty of space for soccer, football, baseball, volleyball, and a playground. Additionally, there is a picnic area, but I have seen transients sleeping under a table or two. Right in the center of the park is an old roller derby/hockey rink that has now been converted into six pickleball courts! There are tons of regulars that come, and they always have music playing. It's a good mix of families, college students, older adults, and very serious players. I do find that it can be tough to play here for newbies, but if you come with enough friends, then you can claim a court for beginners that the better players may stay away from. Is the community here welcoming? It varies. I've met some lovely people, while there are a number of others who will stick to the more advanced players and scoff at you if you're not up to par. I do like to see that there are neighborhoods surrounding the park, and I'm actually surprised there haven't been noise complaints. Thanks for being cool, Cypress people!#ThankYouThursday

Lots of kids and families playing softball and using the pickleball courts, but we were the only ones at the volleyball court! YAY
David Christensen: ★★★
The pickle ball courts are a little tightly spaced. It's unfortunate that they put them inside the hockey rink, which is now unusable.
Ron G.: ★★★
Lots of pickleball courts here and friendly folks to play with. Downsides: courts are on top of each other so you have to wait to receive if the nearest court is serving, and balls are always coming from one court to another.
Yvette S.: ★★★
I visit this park sometimes to play pickleball with some friends. These courts are on what was previously a hockey/roller derby rink. There are six courts total which is nice, but the layout is quite chaotic. There are no fences between courts so balls are constantly coming into your game. If you are in the middle courts, it is much worse because balls are coming from both north and south sides. People attempted to put pvc pipes around the middle of the hockey rink so that people aren't frantically chasing their balls on the opposite side of the rink. It helps some but if you're playing with slammers, be prepared to do a lot of running. I also think the spacing of the courts is poor. When serving, I felt that the players behind us were very close and at times we almost ran into each other. These courts have been around since the pandemic and they still don't really have a good system for players to rotate. They now have some paddle holders next to the courts, which I think helps some but they really should put up some court guidelines so that players can all get a fair chance to pick up games. Other parks have worked with their community members to help establish these rules, so it is something the city of Cypress should consider.
Negative Reviews:
Junitheking O: ★★
Not enough field to play various sports or activities. This park is mainly for pickle ball and soft ball. Dog owners plz pick up after your dog smh. Grass-field is so small and hard to find a spot that dogs not peed and pooped.
C S: ★
With the 8 new pickleball courts, it’s definitely not beginner-friendly. It’s crowded all the time—morning, night, even weekdays. When you finally get a turn after waiting in line, some players go all out just to get you off the court so they can play with their friends again. I even ran into two people who claimed to be “advanced” and kept the whole court to themselves while plenty of others were waiting. We waited 30 minutes just to play a single 4-minute game. I wanted to get into pickleball, but this experience is starting to make the sport feel more toxic than fun.
Hunter Nelson: ★
Roller hockey rink turned into pickle ball courts? Didn’t the city have enough money to add a slab of cement on one of the many grassy areas instead of taking away this rink from all the hockey players and roller derby teams. Why not bring back an adult league? If the city had offered a league, players would pay to play. Huge thumbs down and I know who I will be voting against next election.
Dan Biag: ★★
Worst pickleball ever. Prepare to wait 6 days per game
Quinn N.: ★★
. Bustling place for some free open-play pickleball.+ 8 well-lit courts. - Overcrowded. Min 2-game wait on each court. That's 8 paddles per paddle rack. (One rack per court.) I walked laps and laps around the 8 courts seeking the shortest queue. Nope, every rack had at least 8 waiting players.- No barriers to prevent ball-on interference between the 4 adjacent courts.- Restrooms & water located far from the courts.+ Decent restrooms though.-- Unfriendly, uncourteous, unsafe ambience:- People seem irritable there. Easily pissed off.- People disrespecting the queue system, cutting ahead of others who've been waiting a long time.- I mentioned my opponent's courtesy violation and he got offended. I could cite the pickleball rulebook, but I was afraid he might hurt me afterward, so instead I fled the vicinity at the earliest safe opportunity.
