4 lighted tennis courts in Del Aire Park in Hawthorne, California. Tennnis courts are in decent condition. It’s not the best, however its good enough for a public park. Tennis courts are accessible most days with low to no wait time. Dog friendly. Busy park with colorful play structures, lighted basketball & tennis courts, a gym & ballfields. There’s free WiFi, clean restrooms, and lots of parking.

A residential park with a massive field, sandlot, and woodchip filled dual playground. The tennis courts are accessible most days with low to no wait time. Dog friendly. Airplane, drone, kite flying friendly. Most of all, fantastic park attendants. Ms.Janelle is caring and thoughtful. One of the best parks in Hawthorne. #savvyshammy

Great play area for kids, even has some stuff for older kids as well. Has a pull up bar, monkey bars, basketball court, and tennis courts. Very nice local park.
Andrew Robbins: ★★★★
Fyi at least in July 2019, the tennis courts don't open until 7:30

A continued return to my old beloved hangout, near where I used to live by the sea. Here I’ve played ball and picnicked with friends. I’d recommend planning a leisurely fun time with friends and family, complete with most of the basic amenities available that county and city parks should have. Although not a sports park per se, there’s plenty of space for playing soccer, football and baseball. There’s an outdoor basketball court and multiple tennis court area. An outdoor playground area is quite large with multiple sections. There’s an indoor gymnasium, tho under renovation at the time of this review posting. The park office is staffed, even on Sunday’s. Dog walking is acceptable with mitt stations to encourage self-cleanup. An added plus is a Big 5 Sporting Goods Store, a block away. There’s also places to eat or get take out nearby.

Great place to do your push-ups and sit-ups after your 40 mi bike ride

I took my 2 year old last week to play. This was a new park to us and I was pleasantly suprised. It felt safe. Lots of play gear for both small and older children. There are basketball courts, picnic tables and more. Parking was easy and free. As a parent, I will only go to a park if it feels safe, the equipment is maintained and not dirty. This met all my points!

I have frequented this park numerous times over the course of several decades. Picnics with the family, birthday parties, baseball games with my old high school buddies and most recently playing ball in the indoor gym. There's lots a police presence and is a safe atmosphere for the kids. Just make sure to get in early to reserve a picnic spot or visit the office in person. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Rec center, can borrow basketballs & was even allowed 2 use indoor B'ball court. My girls love this park! Plenty of kids 2 play with, outdoor court as well, plenty of grounds 2 play on, picnic on, &/or do whatever. 2 separate playground areas suited 4 old & young kids. Benches & tables even near play areas not just park grounds. Ice cream truck usually around parked there 4 hrs.

40% of the lights are out on tennis courts. Court gates are open at 8am-8p.
