Hours of play are 8 am to 10 pm daily at this time. These operating hours are subject to change.

Pickleball Court Rules

Operating Hours

  • Pickleball Operating Hours – 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily. These hours are subject to change without notice.
  • Please do not play before 8:00 a.m. or continue play beyond 10:00 p.m.

Walk-Up And Reservation Play

  • Pickleball play is available by walk-up and by advance reservation. Court reservations for 5C and 5D only can be made online at www.wvacourt.org. Note that you must submit the online reservation form and receive approval before you will be permitted to make reservations.
  • As a courtesy to other pickleball players, if you determine that you will not use your reserved court, please delete your reservation online no later than 10:00 p.m. the previous night so that the court may be reserved by another group.
  • Pickleball play is limited to one hour and thirty minutes. At the end of the one hour and thirty minutes of play, play may continue only if no one is waiting for that court. However, as soon as another party arrives and wishes to use the court, the court must be given up immediately. Players may not go to the chalkboard at the end of their one hour and thirty minutes of play and sign up for another one hour and thirty minutes.
  • If you played with a reservation on a court or played on a walk-on court, you may not then switch to play on another court, or continue play on the same court as a guest. Such activity, especially during periods of time when demand for the court is high, limits the ability of others to play and leads to confrontations over court time.

Wait List Rules

  • Please sign in on the chalkboard at the entry whether you have a reservation or are a walk-up player.
Those players not signed in on the chalkboard are subject to being required to immediately release their court to the next group on the waiting list.
  • Once a player begins play on a court, even when rotating in and out, they may no longer be on the wait list.
The wait list is intended only for players not already playing on a court.
  • Players (minimum of 2) must be ready to play at their reserved time, or the court will become an open play court to the first name on the wait list/chalkboard.
All reservation times are based on the clock at the tennis club. There is no grace period.
  • Members whose names appear on the wait list/chalkboard must be present when their name is called or forfeit the court.
Members on the wait list may not leave the facility, or they forfeit their position on the wait list.

Guest Rules

  • Guests are permitted, but must play on the same pickleball court as their sponsoring member. 5 guests maximum are permitted per household.

Pickleball General Rules

  • Players inside the pickleball area but not playing should take care to ensure they remain clear of the immediate area around the playing surface.
If the pickleball area becomes too crowded for safe play, please wait outside the entry gate.
  • All members present at the tennis club must have their valid facility identification card in their possession while using the tennis club, and must present their facility identification card to staff when requested.
Those without their facility identification card may be asked to leave.
  • Court 5 is designated for pickleball play only at this time. The remaining nine (9) courts at North Lake Tennis Club are designated for tennis play only. Please do not use vacant tennis courts for pickleball play or warm-up at any time. Also, please do not walk through court 4 to access the pickleball courts if court 4 is in use by tennis players.
  • All members and guests who choose to use the pickleball facilities do so at their own risk.
  • Please respect our neighbors and keep noise to a minimum.
  • All other rules for the tennis club/tennis play apply to pickleball as well.
  • Violations of the rules may result in penalties, including fines and loss of membership privileges. www.wva.org

This Academy is great! Coach Hooman is absolutely the best. He coaches our 6 year old daughter and has helped her come a long way. He is caring, patient and a great instructor. The entire staff is friendly. Communicating with them is a breeze. We have recommended this academy to friends and will continue to do so.

We had a great experience at Woodbridge Tennis Academy. Both of our children improved significantly in their skills and developed more confidence and focus through consistent training.Special thanks to Charles, Alex, Tyler, and Austin for their professionalism, patience, and thoughtful coaching. Our kids truly enjoyed learning from them and benefited greatly from their support.Although we’ve moved to the East Coast, Woodbridge remains a meaningful part of our journey. Highly recommended for families looking for high quality tennis instruction in a positive environment.
Nicole Hu: ★★★★★

John J: ★★★★★
Beautiful place to take a walk around a man-made lake! Loooots of geese and other waterfowl. Parking isn't very ample though, this is in the middle of a large community and it shares parking with the nearby tennis courts
Irene “MJ” Kim: ★★★★★
I love the tennis courts and trails around North lake here. It's serene and beautiful. There is a playground for the little ones, and the wooden bridge is nice. Currently under construction, safety fences are installed everywhere.

Coach Hooman and Coach Tyler are such wonderful human beings! My daughter has been having a blast and I have seen an improvement with her techniques at The Tennis Academy at Woodbridge ! I can tell that all of the coaches truly care about their students. The assistant, Ben, is also awesome - he is quick to respond to any questions I may have and always very helpful!
D. Bryant: ★★★★★
Woodbridge tennis Academy That's a great place for kids to learn tennis. All the coaches are really skillful and have their own unique way of teaching the kids how to play tennis. But one coach in particular that stands out is coach Steve, I love the way his approach and technique to show the kids details and fundamentals Of the game. All in all really appreciate everyone that coaches here.
Vanessa S: ★★★★★
My kids have had such an excellent experience learning the fundamentals of tennis while refining their skills from top notch coaches! The small student-to-coach ratio has also been a big perk. My kids receive the attention and feedback they need to improve their performance. As parents, we are so happy to see our kids’ improvement and enthusiasm while our kids enjoy seeing their classmates and enjoy the competitive nature of the sport. We are so happy we made the choice to enroll our kids here!
WEIWEI SU: ★★★★★

My daughter has been taking tennis lessons here for about four years, and loves it! She has had a great experience with her coaches, and loves the games and rallies. Because of the Woodbridge Tennis Academy, she is going to start playing tennis tournaments competitively and is continuing to grow and expand her tennis technique and consistency.
Fannie Chu: ★★★★★
Woodbridge Tennis Academy has all different levels for tennis players and my son is beginner class. We love his coach. He is enthusiastic and has patience to all beginning players. He makes a lot of fun games in the class to practice their moves and endurance .
rads vision: ★★★★★
My son is enrolled in the Advanced Jr. Academy with Coach Tyler. He loves it. Great group of kids with similar skill set so drills are appropriate for the level. Facilities are nice and clean. Coach Tyler is excellent. He is attentive to the kids, has keen observation of the kids” techniques and gives good suggestions for the players to improve. We recommend Woodbridge North Lake program without reservation.

Sameed Ahmed: ★★★
Scenic lake amidst a residential area. There is a trail that runs along the lake, but it is cut up at certain points by houses. You can continue the trail around the back to then get back onto the lake. There is no shade. The views are nice, but there is less green space.
M.Saeed Jami: ★★★
"The park is good, but in terms of the beauty of the lake, it's a bit small. There are no benches along the shore, and there are few children's play equipment. It could be better than this."
Jared Gummig: ★★★
The Lake Park itself is pretty nice but the playground could use a little sprucing up.
busyinoc: ★★★
Nice views, but they need more picnic tables.

Not a good park u can't pull up and park its more like a community park with a man made lake for the people who live in the houses
Frank Leos: ★
Your not allowed to fish here unless you live in the Woodbridge area. What a joke.
Najila H: ★
Always give me wrong direction especially when I come home it tells me wrong direction or when I'm going out last minute that tells you make a right turn our left her it's really confusing most of the time.
Micheal Tuaila: ★
It’s not a public place. Bring your cameras and watch Karen’s in the wild
Alejandra Melchor: ★★
Nice place but the Karen's always look at you
