4 lighted free tennis courts. Well maintained. Lots of shade from the trees. Quiet, peaceful, no pay to play tennis courts. For the most part the courts are well maintained but due to the foliage you may have to contend with fallen leaves and dust.

Somewhat hidden from Crystal Springs Drive, surrounded by a sea of park grass, and trees. You’ll find these quiet, peaceful, no pay to play tennis courts. For the most part the courts are well maintained but due to the foliage you may have to contend with fallen leaves and dust. If you’re a leaf blower owner pack it in your racket bag.

A pretty decent place to play tennis. This place is a free for all, open court. You don't need to pay for anything. There are 4 courts to choose from. All you have to do is come at the right time and hope you get a vacant court. Otherwise, you wait for 30 mins or so for an available court to play on. Also, since the court is made of concrete, the ball bounces stronger. The lighting is also good if you want to play during night time. The only downside is when you arrive and the court is very dusty and full of pollen or fallen leaves. That would be a nightmare for people with allergies. Though not as often, I feel so disappointed when rowdy people have no decency, playing soccer on a tennis court and end up ruining the nets. Good thing the Griffith park management is doing a good job maintaining the courts.

Nice set of tennis courts nestled close to the GP trails. Come around noon, the courts begin to empty then...but bring sunglasses and water!
