It's a great park for tennis (they have lights, so you can play even after the sun sets!) Parking has generally been easy. The tennis courts are located on the northern part of the park, and there's two different court areas. There's also a grassy, great for dogs to run around. If you want trails or more walking paths, you have to cross Via Marisol to the southern part— more on the Debs Park side. It's much more hilly over there

I really like this park and have spent lots of time meeting with friends for picnics, meditation, walking, etc. The park has tennis courts very often in use. There is a nice newer playground for children and work out equipment for adults. The park has bathrooms that are fairly clean. Its a great place to hold outdoor birthday parties or hold outdoor exercise classes at.

I live in the area. Herman park is pretty nice and clean except for the restrooms I just wouldn't go in there (use caution). The park has a pretty decent play area for the kids, plenty of parking, and it has a tennis court. I feel safe every time I go.

I've been enjoying this place since at least 1983. Aside from the many tennis courts their is a dog park at the very back of the park and also an entrance into the river walk. You can also cross a bridge to a another more private side of the park.

12 or more tennis courts. Courts in good, not tournament level excellent condition. Lights until 10pm daily. Lights could be a bit brighter. Nearby restrooms. Ample parking.
Tai An: ★★★★★
11 courts here, there is also a practice wall. Less people in the morning, btw it's also a dog park, so don't hit the balls over the fence, dogs love tennis balls.

This is a great park to walk, play tennis, picnic and all the other good things parks are made for. It is mostly flat so that those who have problems with hills can enjoy. Walk down the main drag though the tunnel, past the dog park (fun!) and you will encounter a dirt road that takes you along the hills for a good hike. Something for everyone.
Frederick Legaspi: ★★★★★
My dog loves this park. He is always gets excited and knows when we drive here. Although it has a dog park inside Hermon park I prefer to walk around. The park mostly sits in a bowl so I am not worried that my dog will get lost or run into the street. It is also a nice place for tennis or other exercise activities. Although weird I've often seen tight rope walkers and unicycle riders practicing.
David Ueno: ★★★★
Really gorgeous park right outside The Rose Bowl Stadium. There are kids playsets, barbeque areas and picnic tables, lots of fenced tennis courts. I was actually parked here for Taylor Swifts Reputation Stadium Tour. I spent sometime walking around the park beforehand and it was very clean, the parking area was very well organized and not affecting major areas of the park, all the park amenities looked very high quality and I would love to come out here for a BBQ. I would highly recommend swinging by if you have the time!
Majori Mika: ★★★★
They generally have a very clean restroom, but some days, it can be rough. Over all safe during the day. A great park for playing tennis at night or just to relax during the day.
Eileen Worden: ★★★★★
Wondering why people are posting pictures of the rose bowl here? Herman park is very well kept. Tennis courts on one side and a nice area for your furry friends to play.
John Dai: ★★★★
Google maps will lead you in the wrong direction. The entrance is off of Via Marisol and the 110 freeway. Put in Hermon Park and tennis courts to get the right directions. Once you are in the park, drive all the way down until you see avenue 60 bridge. You can park and walk under the bridge and the dog park is to the right. They have two parks, one for small dogs and one for all other dogs. Mostly dirt so come on a dry day.
Lizett Corona: ★★★★

I must give thanks to one our fav Yelpers Mary B for picking me up. The park was lovely, It looked just like the park from the LSOB Sunday Afternoon video. Andrius kindly greeted us and Julia V, they had a great DJ going. On to the park, this park is great for tennis players, kids and chillin.I saw 2 full tennis courts, a swing set and several areas of grass with trees to provide shade. The nieghborhood was quite and peaceful that Sunday. There is a lot of parking. This park is great for events, hanging out or even a little tennis.
Lisa Z.: ★★★★★
Love this place, fun to go for a walk, run, play tennis, have a picnic, or just chill and get out of the house. Generally clean, lots of pretty trees, walking paths, I visit all the time. Though it's true, you get the occasional hobo hanging around during certain times of day /night, but I don't feel it's generally a problem. Mostly just families, dog owners and tennis players and the like.

Late night tennis with lit tennis courts? Check.Plenty of parking? Check.Eight tennis courts? Check.Doggie park and newly-built kids play ground? Check.Random avenues/cholos walking around stirring up trouble? Sometimes.Have we ever had to call 911 for the homeless man who frequents here according to the first responders? Once. Not played here for about a year & a half after we had a very sketchy altercation with someone who looked like they were going to kidnap these kids? True story. However, in the warm months there are plenty of people around even late night. But we never play here just the two of us, and I would encourage any one to bring a few friends. There are also possums that scare the people who look for recyclables (funny but true story). Never used the bathroom here, so can't comment on that, but have fun, come with friends (including four-legged ones) and have a good time.

Been playing tennis here since high school, and still come out here every now and then. Pretty big park in Hermon, near Highland Park. There are about 8 lighted tennis courts (2 in the front, 6 in the back), a big play area for kids with slides and swings, a huge grassy area, a few barbeque grill stand things, big parking lot, and even a dog park in the back (http://www.yelp.com/biz/hermon-dog-park-los-angeles).It gets really quiet at night, so be careful. Also watch out for holes in the grass, as there are a lot of gophers.

What a great park! Clean and spacious.I love coming here to play tennis and my friend and I always enjoy a nice walk around the park to cool down afterwards. Makes for a great day!

going on a weekday morning is the best. .. and if you come, bring more tennis balls.. cant have enough of those... i would give it 5 stars but the speed bumb in the parking lot SUCK!

This park is relatively clean, and I couldn't care less that it's a lot of dirt not grass (hello fox tails during the summer). It would be nice to have a drinking fountain like that installed at the pasadena off-leash but it has the basics. The people, the dogs, and the park itself improve by the day. Did you see the bucket of new tennis balls?!
Travis N.: ★★★★★
Nice, clean park with about five benches around a big central tree. There's water in both sections and enough space in the large breed section to stand in one corner and toss a ball as hard as possible to just barely reach the opposite corner. If you forget to bring toys, there are tons of tennis balls, pine cones, and twigs there for dogs to play fetch.Yes, the ground is dirt, but the dogs all seem to like it.

So this review is for the park in generalThis is a really cool and cute park located in Montecito Heights. What I love the most of it is that it's connected by the Arroyo Seco bike path, which connects you to the park in South Pasadena and goes all the way down to basically Lincoln Heights. The park is also really good if you're looking to grill cuz they have an area to dispose of the hot coals. The park has ample amount of green space, about 3 tennis courts and a 2 basketball courts. There are jungle gyms for the kids and the crowd here is pretty mixed.

We actually found this park while exploring the area around where we hike at Ernest Debs. Usually early morning weekdays it was pretty empty. Around 9:30-10 it picked up. They do have agility equipment- ramp, tunnel, weave poles (somewhat destroyed) pause box and jumps. There was a really nice group for awhile, attentive parents, friendly Dogs. Then after awhile so many "owners" did not watch their dogs. Multiple times when we arrived the same dog would attack Betty as she entered the gate. The guy just said "oh he's fine he's not doing anything wrong" that's after I said something. One lady got upset with me when I didn't want Betty to drink from the community water bowl. She yelled "so this water isn't Good enough for your Dog?". I just replied it's my choice. And probably has something to do with the Dog that just peed in it. I guess like any Dig park there are Dogs and people that aren't the best. There is some shade with benches. Plenty of parking in the adjoining lot shared with the park with tennis courts. Weekday early morning no parking issues. Also there used to be 2 entrances to the bike path, one towards the tennis courts with a flight of steps down. The other across from the Dog park with a ramp down. But last we were there both gates were locked. It's usually clean, other visitors seem to pick up after those that don't which is nice.

Hermon Park has like... 10 tennis courts. Four (+?) in the front and 6 in the back. The lights are on until 10pm (or 11pm??) and it's great for late night hitting. Some of the lights are broken, but for all the courts, at least two of the four are working. You just have to get the switch on the pole. At the far far left court in the back, it gets a little creepy cause sometimes there're a group of people sitting there and it's just weird. Don't know if they're people watching or people preying. Kinda scary at night. There's also a bathroom next to the back courts, but I've never been inside. I'd rather hold my pee. There's a dog park across the bridge and if you keep walking to the back beyond the parking lot, there's another dog park, a real dog park. The one across the bridge is just a grassy patch next to the freeway that dogs enjoy. But under the bridge beyond the parking lot is another dog park. Great for dog-watching. And, well, for your dogs.
