2 tennis courts, 4 dedicated pickleball courts. Well maintained pickleball courts. $1 a day donation to play. Courts open everyday 8 am to dusk. Provide your own balls and paddles.Courts are divided by skill level. Free parking. Lots of trees. Restrooms are clean. Kind people. Small park with playground, tennis/pickleball courts and good size fenced dog park. Nice community garden nearby (across from LDS church) open to the public.

Del Mar Park features an outdoor basketball court, amphitheater, pickleball courts, children’s play area, horseshoe pits, and two great barbecue and picnic areas along with a large meadow area perfect for volleyball, soccer, and Frisbee games. Del Mar Park is also the home of a soft-court tennis complex and new permanent pickleball courts.

Pickleball Court Policy

Users are expected to use the courts responsibly and cooperate with the established guidelines. Misuse may result in revocation of court privileges.

Pickleball Court Rules:

Hours: Pickleball courts will be open daily for play from dawn to dusk.
First-Come First-Serve: Use of pickleball courts is on a first-come first-serve basis.
Match Limits: During open play when others are waiting, please limit matches to 11 points (win by 2 points) or a maximum of 30 minutes.
Court Use: Pickleball courts are to be used for pickleball only.
Etiquette & Attire: Players are required to observe proper pickleball etiquette. Non-marking shoes only.
Pets: No pets permitted on the courts.
Food & Drink: No food or drink permitted on courts. Water only.
Safety: Please do not sit, swing or stand on net cable or fencing.
General Rules: All other City of SLO Park rules must be observed.
SLO Pickleball Courts are open Dawn to Dusk.
Availability: Keep in mind courts are especially crowded on weekends.

I was visiting my friends, who live in Morro Bay. We decided to hit up Del Mar Park for their first pickleball experience. Despite a busy morning and a wait to get on the court, everyone we met was incredibly friendly. We began in the beginners' court, but it turned out my friends were former tennis players who quickly adapted to the pickleball rules and techniques. So, we moved up to the intermediate middle court and had a fantastic time. The crowd, although a bit older, was warm and welcoming. We shared plenty of laughs, and my friends loved their first pickleball experience, planning to return the next time I visit Morro Bay. Although there were only three courts at the park, they were well-maintained. $1 per player. I can't wait to play pickleball with my buddies and these wonderful people in the community again.
