Best Tennis and Pickleball courts in Napa, Napa County for 2026

Napa Valley Country Club is an amazing and well kept private golf club in Napa. I worked here while finishing my degree and have always enjoyed its relaxed feel and country locale. As my friend Christina Winegar Anderson has noted, it's not a golf club it's a club located in the country. I was blessed to be able to play as a guest recently and was reminded that this course is not very bit it is a course you will want to play again. Membership is now in the $35,000 range but considering that it holds its own to the prestigious Silverado Resort, it's a great deal. Loved my time there! Also great to see my former Electronics student Jason Jackovac as the Head PGA Pro there. Well done Jason!

The club opened itself for a non-member tournament, which was a nice opportunity to play this private club, but it wasn't exactly a Member For a Day event as advertised since they closed the clubhouse and imposed a cart path only rule as required by the members. I can understand that, but it did slow down play. The course was in good condition, the greens were running faster than most courses, and there were some memorable forced carries and elevation drops. Our group never saw a beverage cart with "drinks and limited sandwiches" that was supposed to be running, so we were thankful for the numerous cold water stations. I've been to clubs for similar events that provided a sack lunch, but there was no opportunity for food here. So although it was nice to play the course, the lack of on course services was a letdown.

Super duper nice spot, didn't even know it existed! Tucked away, off of Hagen Rd, you go up a windy road to the clubhouse. Really nice! Has a pool and bocce court, too!
