The park is nice. Has a few baseball fields and a rec center. The playground could use a face lift. There was trash everywhere on a Tuesday. The playground was full or trash and ants. Skate park is very nice and clean. Has a lot of pickleball courts. Playground: Full of trash and ants. Has swings and slides good for 3-4 year olds. Restrooms: Has restrooms.
Teri Carrillo: ★★★★
My son has played Little League baseball at Melba for over 4 years. He also uses the skateboard park, which is actually kind of impressive, considering this is a community park/rec center. He spends so much time here, we actually moved next door! The park is always well-maintained and the restrooms are always clean. Dogs (on leashes) are welcome and the snack bar is open during baseball season. There are a variety of recreational areas, picnic tables, basketball courts, Pickle Ball courts, and, of course, the Community Center, itself, which offers all types of classes and low-cost options for family recreation.
Mark Stangl: ★★★★
Nice baseball and pickle ball fields, parking fills up fast though. Has a skate park as well as basketball courts and a playground.
Daniel Nicholas Asuncion: ★★★★★
Well maintained. Multiple baseball fields, play ground, skate park & pickle ball courts. Big open grass areas with benches too. Unfortunately, lots of graffiti
Lydia Rodriguez: ★★★★★

Pickleball is a serious business.

Good park. There is a little league baseball for those with children, and tennis courts. They have 2 hoops for basketball and a lot of grass to chill on if you are bored. Playground: Two sections for kids 0-5 and 5-8. Restrooms: Unclean, but public access

I LOVE THE GAME OF PICKLEBALL...The courts are very nice and so are the surroundings but the only thing i see wrong is that there s no COMPETITION....I have been playing this game since 2011 growing up in WASHINGTON..and since i got here in CALI.....no GAME.

Very fun and thriving Court community. Love to play Pickelball here. Open play, clinics, Chicaball, and league play all happen in abundance. Come check it out!

As a member of the Booster Assn, I love the extra programs and activities that are offered. The courts and nets have just been resurfaced and replaced. There is always someone fun to play with. Not cliquey like other places.

Plenty of courts for either competitions or first timers. Park has restrooms, skatepark, playground for kids, picnic areas and basketball courts.
Martin & Trish Day: ★★★★★
Melba Bishop is a great park for family. They have a skateboard park, baseball fields, walking paths, picnic tables but my favorite is the many pickleball courts. I am not a competitive player so playing with other people makes me very uncomfortable. They have enough courts which allows me to play without having to play with others. Either way, we still respect the rules of the the court.
Debra Paradis: ★★★★★
This club rocks! I live in Escondido where there are several places to play right around the corner from where I live but I choose to make the 20 minute drive to play here! The courts are well maintained, the members are super friendly, they have all levels of play from beginners right on up, they host great tournaments and social events...come out and play you'll have a blast!

Despite having pickleball courts funded by the city and being a city park, they have incredibly limited public hours and charge money. Go to Thibido park or Brengle Terrace where they are free.
