Great pickleball courts! This was our first time at Emerald Desert, and we loved it. Great pools and spa, the doggie park is the best in the West! Super large and great for dogs. Lots of grass, putting green. The train was a little loud, but great location. We did not stay in the rooms, we had an RV. There are no firepits or picnic table. The Resort was so kind and brough us a table.
Ted Pikes: ★★★★★
This was our 4th stay at Emerald Desert and we affectionately refer to it as one of our "Happy Places" while on the road in our motorhome. Great facilities, especially the Dog Parks, along with pool, spa and pickleball courts! Comedy show was fun! Had several deliveries via Amazon for things we needed. Our 34 day stay was too short! Maybe back for 2 months next year!
Matthew Haskins: ★★★★★
Beautiful rv resort, nice green grass, all the trees are trimmed and manicured. Spacious sites with full concrete pads. Great pickleball courts and very large pool area with heated pool. Front desk was always helpful, we will be back.
West Bielstein: ★★★★
Overall we had a pleasant experience, however the price felt a bit high for the circumstances. The park was kept in very good condition, felt very safe, and hardly saw anyone else the entire time we were there (mid September). Only complaint was that the pickleball courts had lights, but they wouldn't operate, so we didn't get a chance to play.

My bestie and I went to Emerald Desert RV Resort and stayed in the Allegro Villa #2. When we arrived, we called the front desk to get the code to the entrance gate. We checked and followed the map to our villa. Our room was gorgeous. It was clean, smelled good, and the air conditioning was on, so it was a great transition from the heat outside. Every single staff member we came in contact with from management to the landscapers were all the friendliest and most helpful people. We rode our e-scooters everywhere. On a trip back from the store, my friend hit a patch of gravel and took most of the skin off her knees. When one of the staff members saw us sitting on our patio cleaning my friend's knees, they went and got the emergency kit to help her out. They definitely earned our loyalty, and we are adding Emerald Desert RV Resort to our yearly vacation. They have a lot to offer, 2 pools, a gym, a dog park, tennis & pickleball courts, a pool table, washers & dryers and a lot more.

After a wonderful stay at Sunland Emerald Desert RV Resort last March to attend the Indian Wells Professional Tennis Tournament, we decided to book our 15 day stay there this (2020) March as we volunteered to work the 2020 14 day tournament. We were so excited to volunteer at the tournament and to stay again at the beautiful RV Resort. A week and a half before we were to arrive in CA, we knew the COVID-19 pandemic was dangerous, especially as my husband and I are 71 years old. I suspected that the tournament directors would have to cancel the event (which they only did 1 day before the start of the tournament), and so we regretfully cancelled our reservation at Sunland knowing we might not get our deposit returned due to the late cancellation. To our delight and surprise, Jennifer at the Resort called us and said they were returning our entire deposit. I know the Resort was losing money, losing reservations because of the epidemic, and I know this was a great gesture of ethical business practice on their part. Sunland Emerald Desert RV Resort has been a place we looked forward to visiting, beautiful plantings, kind and informative staff, and a pickleball court right near our RV camping site. But now, we definitely will be telling people to support such an ethical business as well. Thank you. Patty Reed
Judy Hardman: ★★★★★
Beautiful RV park with fruit trees and ponds plus lots of amenities, like tennis & pickleball courts, putting range, horseshoes, pool and gym. Nice grassy space between RV spaces. Huge dog park! Love the ice cream truck on weekends.
John Rempel: ★★★★★
Pickleball courts are not available, tennis courts are not available, putting greens are not putting greens, just grass with holes.
Leslie McLellan: ★★★★★
Great place for RVers! Activities galore, wonderful pool, workout center, bocce, pickleball. They have it all!!

This has always been our go to RV stop over. In the Palm Springs area, it's got nice.Spacious pull thru spaces and several beautiful pools. I decided to visit the pool recently. When it was 115° went over there. Not 1 person was anywhere around the pool. So I thought boy, this will be a nice, quiet relaxing afternoon.Except they had loud music blasting from speakers all over the complex so loud. You would have thought a party was going on. So I didn't stay very long.I thought it was very uncalled for and obnoxious l. next time I booked a space there.I asked the attendant. Can you turn the music off at the pool. And he says oh, everybody wants the music. And we've had so many requests for it.We just leave it on now, I Bet there wasn't 1 person in that pool area and the music was still blasting. this time. I didn't visit it. That is a very rude decision made by the owners of the park Somebody blasting music at a pool as always very selfish behavior and I can't believe that sun outdoors controls the music and will not turn it off even by request. I may have to start looking for a new place to stop over. That's a little quieter.

We called and reserve a spot made sure to tell them that we would be a late arrival and they gave us a gate code and told me where to pick up our paperwork (receipt and map), but when we got there, there was no paperwork for us or map. Then in the morning the place was relatively empty being mid week, but we were woken up at 7:30 AM by 3 weed eaters/blowers. I just don’t understand when there was so many empty spots why they couldn’t have started doing the lawn in those areas instead of right by where we were parked. On a positive note, the property is absolutely beautiful and it’s easily located right off of I5

Spent a month at the park. The staff was very friendly and helpful (free ice!), the dog park is great, and we met some very nice people during our visit. The non-stop trains and freeway noise is definitely a bummer, but we knew that going in. We had a LOT of wind during our stay, which is typical of anything near I-10, just more than we expected. Overall a nice enough place but pretty pricey for what you get.
Edward Chauff: ★★★
We really like this place. The only reason for three star was that the pool was dirty. There was puddles of water around the spa. (The same puddle was there for four days.) They sent a flier about lawn being mowed. We had to move items off the grass. Mowers never came. They spent most of the time in the common areas. If you can, try to check out the site for trees. We were unable to use our awning.
Serena Rico: ★★★
The resort and amenity's are lovely. However, its VERY close to train tracks, and they are heavy, long, loud freight trains, they woke us a few times at night and we could feel the vibrations from our trailer. Also, there is no picnic table at any of the sites, so plan to bring a table and chairs for your outdoor meals.
Patricia Wantz: ★★★
Was very disappointed on how this resort was so run down, the grounds were full of weeds and the grass wasn’t mowed!! The fountains were unkept and the water was green and a breeding ground for bugs!! Very sad to see this beautiful resort so run down!! We have been coming here since 2012 and never have seen it like this and the prices are still high!!!!!!!!
Constance McKenna: ★★★
We stayed in the RV park. It is beautifully manicured and maintained. Our only complaint was the noise. The park is right next to the freeway and train tracks. The noise made for a long sleepless night. We probably won’t stay there again.
Keith Flood: ★★★
Crowded/tight spots, not very quiet. Overall Emerald Desert is nice large resort, accommodating all types of RV’s. There are a variety of RV spaces and lots of side streets making most of Emerald Desert different from the usual rows and rows of sites that most RV parks have. Our site was long enough technically for our 42-foot motorhome but when neighbors awning is out, we were an inch away from touching them with the back or our motorhome. There are nice level concrete parking pads but not much space for chairs/BBQ outside without putting your stuff on the lawn. There were a lot of snow birds here with all kinds of dog fencing, patio mats spread out over the lawn. Since they water the lawn frequently here in the desert to keep it green, be prepared to get water spots on your RV. We also did not have enough room to park our 4-door jeep on our site so we had to park it in front of the main club house which is inconvenient for unloading and loading your car to go out for the day/shopping. Garbage is out by 9am and they come around to pick it up sometime during the day but on windy days, you will see garbage rolling down the street and across the lawns from time to time because it takes awhile (after 2pm) to get around and pick up all the garbage bags in front of each site. You should be a train buff if you stay here because the BNSF comes through about 10+ times a day and shakes the ground, plus I-10 freeway is behind the resort, next to the tracks. So if you're looking for quiet, this is not the place.

We arrived with our RV and check in was great. We got settled into our spot and that was not so great. We were located very close to train tracks and Freeway....the noise was deafening. Train went by every 30 minutes day and night and the freeway noise was continuous. At 6pm with no warning sprinklers came on and soaked our lawn chairs beside our rig so we couldn't use them that night and left a big pool of water under our stairs. Next morning we requested to move sites and the resort allowed us to do that with no issue. The other side of the Resort was better but still could hear the trains quite clearly and our trailer shook when it went by. The resort is beautiful, well manicured, staff were great, the pool clean and lovely. I enjoyed all the little birds that visited our site daily. We were on a great corner site with lots of room unfortunately some dog owners felt that the perfect stop for their dogs to pee and poop and lacked common sense to see others were camping there and alternatively take their dog to an empty site or the "dog park". Not the resorts fault however they could use some additional rules or lawn signs as reminder to use the allocated dog park. Wifi.....not good. We could not maintain a connection to the resort wifi so paid for the upgrade they provide through Skyweb which wasn't much better so used our data the entire time. I myself won't return for a stay simply because the train and freeway noise bothered me and poor wifi, which is unfortunate because the resort really is quite beautiful. If noise or wifi isn't a issue to someone than I'd for sure recommend this place.

Although the staff is friendly and grounds are very clean, pools and hot tubs are nice…but…wish we would have known how close to freeway and round the clock train tracks we were. Thankful we brought our sound machine. We’ll be staying elsewhere next time! Oh, and the biggest draw was pickleball courts, but they also didn’t inform us that they were currently “under renovation”! A big let down….especially when they advertised pickleball clinics and tournaments!

Lousy experience Pro: Lots of trees and greenery. Con: trains and highway traffic 100 meters from my particular site (mine's not even the closest) Pro: you can get packages delivered here. Con: only the first one is free, then they charge you $10 Pro: lots of amenities and gatherings. Con: tennis court wasn't available because manager claimed they don't have the manpower to convert the court from pickleball to tennis...with no apologies or concessions. Pro: Maintenance man Jon was super awesome, pleasant, and helpful. Cons: front desk gals said they would call me after speaking with manager - I did not receive a call back on 3 different occasions. Overall - it's a beautiful, loud park with maybe some of the amenities they say they have and a front desk staff and manager who promise a phone call response that doesn't come. I believe customer service can really make all the difference and this park truly misses the mark. However, valuable lesson was learned - check the Google ratings for large number of 1s ... It's pretty clear many other RVers has the same lousy experience.

Over priced ($181/night for a premium RV spot) and undervalued. Stayed a week. With all the watering they do, our RV spot was always wet and muddy. Cell service in the RV Resort is non existent. Once you leave through the gates, it's fine. MiFi Hotspot didn't work either because it needs cell service. Internet was down (same as last year.) Cable TV didn't work. We were told to call the Cable Company - in Michigan - when they knew it was down. We stayed almost a week and it was never fixed. For any price in an RV park, it's expected that they have wifi and cell service. Will NOT be back.

Don't waste your time and money. Visited a few times now, and will not be going back again for a few reasons, mostly due to unfair business practice by new management, and reading reviews looks like I am not the only one. If you reserve a spot you BETTER end up going, because if you don't they will keep all your money up front and then try to rebook the spot they refuse to reimburse you for, will say its your fault because you booked when they were having a sale. We booked months in advance, then attempted to cancel over 1 week before we were scheduled to stay (well within cancellation policy timeframe) due to an emergency surgery. Was bluntly refused any reimbursement whatsoever, refused to work with us in any regard. After the first phone exchange, we called back to make sure we at least got to keep the spot if they refused to refund us, but sure enough they had cancelled our reservation, they were trying to book the spot again to another customer AND keep all our money! After finally giving our spot back to us (that we paid for), they then called multiple times a day to see if we still planned on coming, probably to try and cancel us again. The previous times we visited, can confirm the pool is always green and murky as other reviewers mentioned, so don't plan on swimming. Trains and Planes are loud and close to the resort as other reviewers stated. Ride share cars have to wait outside the gate, so hope you don't mind walking across the entire resort. All in all was never really impressed, but gave it a few chances. Much better options out there.

If I could rate this business a 0/5, I absolutely would. We have been loyal visitors to Emerald RV Resort for the past several years, always looking forward to our annual trip with a large group of friends and children. Sadly, our most recent stay in May 2024 was nothing short of a nightmare, thanks to the resort manager, Justin. Let me be clear: Justin’s behavior was blatantly aggressive, rude, and completely unacceptable. From the moment we arrived, he went out of his way to harass our group. It felt personal. He constantly hovered around us, micromanaging our every move, and treating our children with shocking disrespect. Several kids were yelled at for simply riding bikes near our RVs—leaving them in tears. He clearly had no concern for the emotional well-being of our children or the enjoyment of our stay. One of the most appalling incidents involved a child in our group who was overheating and ill. She sat quietly under an empty, unused cabana just to get a bit of shade, and instead of showing a shred of compassion, Justin demanded she leave because it “wasn’t booked under our name.” No one else was using it. She later became physically sick from the heat. His lack of basic human decency was disgusting. Justin made our stay absolutely miserable. He wasn’t just unfriendly—he was aggressive, confrontational, and clearly intent on making sure we felt unwelcome. It was constant, intentional, and completely ruined what should have been a fun and relaxing trip for our families. We’ve always enjoyed this resort in the past, but with management like this, we will never return. I would strongly caution anyone—especially those camping with children or in a group—to think twice before booking here. No one deserves to be treated the way we were. Emerald RV Resort has completely lost our business.

Very disappointed in the pool. This is our second time here. We were very excited to bring our 3 kids to the pool being that it's a warm week and they keep it heated. We get there and the pool looks dirty and there are green stains everywhere (algae.) Nonetheless I let them swim hoping that they keep up with the chemicals. Well, my 7 year old ultimately finds backswimmer bugs. Which I had to google to figure out. These bugs live in ponds and thrive and lay eggs in algae, and deliver painful bites. I was mortified. What does that say about the cleanliness of the pool?! My husband requested one of the staff meet him at the pool via text. They sent a man named Khristopher to check it out. He listened but didn't seem too concerned. My husband had to follow up to ask what was done to fix the problem. To which his response was that they keep the chemicals going all day and keep it clean (obviously not!) but he would look into having maintenance add some acid. This is terrible. This is supposed to be a nice resort and we are paying over 150 a night to hook up our 5th wheel. It completely ruined our stay. Disgusting! Also the ground around the pool is all cracked and coming apart. You really can't even walk around barefoot.
