WAITING SYSTEM

  • Games are played to 11 points, and must be won by 2 points.
  • Those waiting shall place their paddle in the first open slot in the paddle rack. The “next” indicator shows who has the next game and is shifted left to right when the incoming players take the court.
  • If there are more players waiting to play than available spaces in the paddle rack, players shall place their paddles on the ground, under the paddle rack, and then move the group of paddles to the rack once a spot becomes available.
  • Play is on a rotational basis (4-on/4-off or 2-on/2-off) when all courts are in use and there are players waiting. No new game may be started without first checking the paddle rack for waiting players.
  • Players may not have a paddle in the paddle rack and be playing simultaneously.
  • All players must fully vacate the court at the end of a game and call out “open court”. After vacating the court, players must place their paddles in the paddle rack, if they wish to play again.
  • The next waiting group shall take the vacated court. The entire group of players (4 for doubles) must be present when their court becomes available, if there are other players waiting.
  • If a foursome has 1, 2, or 3 paddles in front of them in the paddle rack and wishes not to split up the foursome, they may place their paddles accordingly in the second slot on the paddle rack and newer
arriving players may place their paddle(s) in front of them.

Porter Ranch Community Park is wide, clean, and very pet-friendly. There’s a playground that’s great for kids, but unfortunately, the swings are tied up and only one is working, which is something that could be improved. Be aware that the gate closes, so you’ll need to park on the street and walk about 10 minutes to reach the park. Overall, it’s a nice spot for families and pets!

This brand-new park opened a few months ago in Porter Ranch, and it's been such a wonderful addition to the area. I really appreciate that it has a spacious parking lot, which takes the hassle out of finding a spot. The park features a large grassy area for the kids to run and play, along with a separate toddler section and a larger area for older kids. This is perfect for me, as I have two children--one who is two and the other five. Another bonus is the clean, well-maintained restrooms. You'd think all parks in Los Angeles would have this, but I've learned the hard way that's not always the case. So, I definitely consider it a plus! I'm looking forward to spending many more park days at this lovely new spot.

This park is nestled atop a nice hillside overlooking the neighborhoods down below in Porter Ranch. There was plenty of parking and the park itself gave us a great spot to take in bouts of fresh air. We came here with our rackets to play some pickleball and for the first hour it was just enough with the 4 courts. After past the hour mark, it started getting more full and groups were waiting outside the court. Regardless, my boyfriend and I were super happy to have finally checked out this new park after hearing about it from my roommates. Also want to note that the spot has a large stage and ampitheatre-like set-up and we would love to see if there are any community events that pop up here. The sign of the park also just says Porter Ranch Community Park even though it says differently online. Hopefully the name confusion can be fixed. Anyways, this is definitely a wonderful addition for the community and I hope it stays how it is with the maintenance and care! Kid-friendly apparatus area. One basketball court, 4 pickleball courts (looks too small for tennis), clean bathrooms

A wonderful spot to go play some basketball at, although there is only one court so it can get packed and full at certain times. I love the scenic outlook of the park and feel like I get really nice bouts of fresh air here. Sometimes the park entrance gates are closed, which is weird, but it may be due to the weathers so keep that in mind as it's more of a private community park. The set-up of the park is great and the parking is super large. There is a large stage and I just know that this park has big prospects in mind for the future!!! Currently, it's not too packed and at the same time not too empty so we'll see how it goes in the future!!! Bathrooms are clean for a park and am satisfied with the amenities.

We went for pickleball, and it was stuffed with people who do t have court etiquette. Beginners to 2.5 players. Look elsewhere for better games...
Negative Reviews:
Kevin Jiang: ★
grand opening and pickleball courts have tennis nets and no lighting at night. who designed this place
Patrick Lee: ★
This review is specifically for the poorly designed basketball court. The court is on top of a hill with NO FENCE. When shooting facing north, your ball will roll down the hill and there’s nothing you can do about it.

Saw homeless guy doing fentanyl (I asked him and he said fentanyl) on the playground and basketball courts stay away
Diana Douglasmati: ★★
People don't keep their dogs on leashes. See a lot of kids scared of the unleashed dogs.
