Annual 4th of July in the Pocket at Garcia Bend Park. Update 5/2024: The trees have grown, lots of shade. And they have pickle ball at the tennis courts.

I love this bike trail, it offers charming views of Sacramento River and if you love walking your dog the perfect trail for four legged companions. If you want more off road trails to walk up to levee, and make a right. I have yet to explore that side of trail, but it's all rocky path. Very safe of your women going for a jog and great atmosphere for family walks. There is a huge soccer field, decent playground, tennis court's and your surrounded near tree's. Can't wait to go back.

One of my favorite parks. It has 2 tennis courts, soccer court, kids playground, access to the river parkway for a jog beside the Sacramento River, also ramp access to throw your boat or waterski. Update: The restrooms has been reworked and they are now okay 👍🏼 Anyway, hope it helps.

Nice park. There are tennis courts here with a playground and access to the river. Benches are shaded. Good spot to have parties due to the open fields or gazebo area. Self pay parking for boaters but I hardly see anyone pay and the pay station doesnt work sometimes. Bathrooms do not have TP nor a hand drying station. There's a spot to clean fish but no water flows through the water hose. All in all, 4 stars because its a great shaded park with fishing!
    Kong Thao: ★★★★
Nice big clean park with the river close by. Playground, large field, lighted tennis courts. Every third Friday of the month is truck food event with music. The only real downfall of this place is the fishy smell from people scaling their fish at the fish scale wash station by the restrooms. If you don't mind the smell then there is really a negative.

I like to come here with my friends and family. Park is pretty good. There are two main parks one for smaller children the other for a little older. The field is great and there are pre-markers. There are also tennis courts and ample parking. It has access to the water but be careful (as you should always). Swim at your own risk (no lifeguards) and check the water as lately higher Sacramento homeless population increases possibility of e-coli in the water. Reminder with parking, you WILL get a ticket if you park in the trailer parking spaces. cheers.
    Linh Truong: ★★★★
I like the park. There's a tennis court, two play grounds, ample parking and large grassy fields for lots of soccer fields to be set up. I see a variety of families and dog owners who enjoy the park. My only gripe is the litter. There's all sorts of small trash on the play ground floor that I have to keep my baby who's learning to walk from reaching down and eating it. From plastic bottle caps to candy wrappers, it's not fun dealing with it. Yet, the grassy fields are clean and nice. I don't know how that works.

Garcia has a two tennis court, a playground, three soccer fields, picnic tables, public restrooms, fish gutting station, and a boat loading dock. The park needs a little more maintenance as well as updated bathrooms. The bathrooms are pretty smelly and are really dark inside. **Please note that the long slanted parking spots are for boat trailers and not for parking to use for the park. The parking maid does make rounds in the parking lot and will give tickets.

Great park to frolick and be free. There is a nice play set and party seating. There are soccer goals and tennis courts. I imagine that it was a jewel in the Sacramento park system 20 years ago.

Nice quiet park for kids. Almost never crowded. It has boat entrance to the river with lots of boat trailer parking. Large open Green Field. Tennis courts.
    Michael Tien: ★★★★
One of the larger neighborhood parks in the Pocket area. Tennis courts, soccer fields, large play area, parking, boat ramp and restrooms. Walking by the park, decided to walk the ramps leading to the boat ramp. Nice park.
