Best Tennis courts in San Diego, San Diego County for 2026

I've attended the Giavara Tennis Academy multiple times and highly recommend this program for any skill level. Ken Giavara, the head pro, is incredibly thoughtful and takes a highly customized approach to teaching. He's really intuitive and incorporates visual learning (including video) in way that accelerates your progress. Ken is a professional caliber coach and he's a super positive and a great person to spend time with on the courts...he's genuinely one of the best coaches I've worked with in any sport!

Finding Ken and his academy was one of the very best things that happened in my daughters junior tennis years. I wish we had found him sooner. In the short time with him he was able to help raise the level of her game and passion for the sport significantly. Thank you very much Ken! Your talent, generosity, and passion for coaching is the best I have encountered in my 18 years as a tennis parent.

Just back from a vacation at Mission Bay Hotel San Diego and by total accident we found the Giavara Tennis Academy at the hotel! This truly made our vacation great! My kids who are advanced juniors took 5 lessons with Coach Ken Giavara while we were there. It was amazing! The level of instruction was beyond amazing! Ken Giavara and Jason are technique geniuses!! They taught our kids a years worth of lessons in 5 days!! I really mean this! You will not find more attentive instruction from real pros anywhere else. Go to the hotel just to get instruction from Giavara! You won't regret it! Thank you Ken and Jason!!

We travel from Connecticut to San Diego every summer just to have Ken Giavarra teach our kids! He will transform your juniors game in a week! Wherever you are it is worth the trip! I never write reviews but Ken is a Tennis genius!

My son really enjoys Giavara Tennis! Ken and Jason do such a good job challenging him mentally and physically, while teaching and coaching him. I really appreciate their holistic approach. The community and atmosphere at Giavara Tennis is also very welcoming. I highly recommend this Tennis Academy to anyone in San Diego!
