What a great park and community center. It's kept clean and it's a great spot to walk and play with your dog.
David Simpson: β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…
Large park with basketball and baseball fields. Skate park close by and also another smaller park 2 blocks away.

If you're looking for a fun, safe and clean place to spend the day outdoors with your family and friends, look no further than this recreational park located in San Diego. This park has everything you need for a great day out, including a playground for kids, picnic tables, dog parks, a baseball field, and even a skatepark for the more adventurous. One of the standout features of this park is how clean and well-maintained it is. The grounds are always tidy, and the facilities are kept in great condition. The park staff clearly takes pride in keeping this space looking its best. Safety is also a top priority at this park. The park is well-lit, and there are always police on patrol to keep an eye on things. Whether you're visiting during the day or in the evening, you can feel confident that you're in a safe environment. In terms of activities, this park really does have it all. The playground is a great spot for kids to burn off some energy, while the picnic tables offer a perfect spot for a family picnic. The dog parks are great for pet owners who want to let their furry friends run around off-leash, and the baseball field is perfect for a game with friends. But perhaps the real highlight of this park is the skatepark. With a variety of ramps, rails, and other obstacles, it's a dream come true for skateboarders and BMX riders alike. Even if you're not a skater yourself, it's worth stopping by just to watch some of the impressive tricks being performed. Finally, it's worth noting that despite all the great amenities, this park is surprisingly quiet and peaceful. You won't have to worry about loud music or rowdy crowds disturbing your day out. Overall, this recreational park is a gem in San Diego. With its cleanliness, safety, and wide range of activities, it's a great spot for families, friends, and individuals to spend time outdoors. Whether you're a local or just visiting, it's definitely worth checking out.

A Hidden Gem. Welcoming environment. CLEAN. Staff are very responsive. A Senior Recreation Facility. A Nutritious lunch is served from 12:00 to 1:00. Scheduled activities are offered.

Excellent skatepark! Wide variety of obstacles and ledges! Great flow! Huge deep pool bowl. Stair set, little euro gap and a few different size rails to choose from! Good for all skill levels.

The more I skate here the more I find little areas and lines that are fun. It's been pretty chill lately. I read other reviews about homeless and weed smoking but I haven't noticed any of that. There is usually trash first thing in the morning but we just clean that up as there are plenty of trash cans around.

Thomas Rosenberger: β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…
City of San Diego took the old Copley Y bldg and totally rebuilt it to a beautiful Community center with a large gym (basketball) and many meeting rooms, indoor workout gym, and a Senior area. Outside is a large picnic area, skateboard park, picnic tables for the entire surrounding neighborhood. Lot's of parking all around.

Awesome Skatepark. Well lit in most areas, great parking and variety between beginner bowl areas and bigger bowl area along with some nice street section.

Out of 3 of the skateparks I went to in San Diego on a recent vacation, this was by far the best. Fully spaced out park w/ out to much going on to the point that it’s overwhelming (like Linda Vista Park). Plenty of obstacles ( ledges / rails / hubbas / quarter pipe / euro gap / bowl section / mini bowl quarter pipe zone )... basically something for everyone trying to skate.

They though the East side of San Diego was bland, well they though wrong. Ive been to some parks around and none if then offer a grand skate park like this one. Most likely a hidden gem if you're into different wheel based sports like skating, Scootering, Bmx. As well as a Baseball/ Softball park which triples into a doggy park... Whew this place is really active to be so hidden away haha... Enjoy if you drop by early in the morning for jogging.

The park, trash all over tables and benches in backside and walkways. However, the new senior center is very nice. It is opening for Tai Chi class, Mondays and Thursday. Exercise classes and lunches will be opened in the near future.

Tiny park with a play area for kids and a skateboarding rink nearby. Decent place to walk your dog. However, it seems like there's often homeless or seedy looking people congregating near the restroom area.

Better than nothing. The lack of attention to the designing of this park is glaring when you see what the designer did for Linda vista. The ball was dropped, just watch the kids push across the 50 yards of flat ground in the park to hit a kicker ramp...the bowl is just as underutilized as the skaters said it would be during the design meetings. Close but no cigar. The cool thing is because the parks is so lame it’s never too crowded unlike it’s Linda vista counterpart.

Older kids on skateboard are a bit rude and not nice to younger kids, and there have been a couple of incidents that had happened there. They forgot they were kids. It could be a nice park
Sandy M: β˜…β˜…β˜…
The park has alot of potential but it's not kept up very well and there's alot of iffy ppl that hang out there
Glenn Russell: β˜…β˜…β˜…

No available bathroom, one is broken and the other has homeless people in it. Doesn't feel safe.
Jay Webb: β˜…β˜…β˜…
Great to see what they did with the new park/YMCA. Sad to see it's already being trashed, guess they are gonna need city workers or security of some sort to police the area...
Felipe Campuzano: β˜…β˜…β˜…
It's a good park lots of skating if like that and Base ball and just about everything

I just come to socialize me being me. I don't enjoy all the amenities that are available but commenting from afar looks like good fun for younger persons...

I'd really like to skate those concrete planter box ledges near the parking lot, were there not notches cut out of them. Those sure look fun! The skatepark is just ok. Feels a bit like jousting when crowded as the park is narrow, and the back and forth flow gets boring quick. Kids standing in front of quarter pipes.
Armando Gonzalez: β˜…β˜…
The homeless and the pot smoking kills it for me. There's a some type of center there and its constantly being graffitied looks bad. My 12 year old daughter plays softball there on some of her away games. Not the safest feeling place.
Marvin Johnson: β˜…β˜…
Good place to skate but no shade
Ms. Dana M.Fowler: β˜…β˜…
Restrooms: abundance of homeleness. Picnic area: Ok

The park is very nice, but much smaller, with adults smoking marijuana.
