Brand new facility. It was raining and dark , but my wife and I were able to play pickleball on indoor courts. Portable nets were set up..4 courts. Only open twice a week for pickleball though and not on weekends! The place looks and feels like a ski lodge except there is a facility for the best indoor climbing walls I have ever seen. I counted at least 15 climbing walls. Cost Is $10\hour. Looks pretty inexpensive to me. People were very friendly!

Glen Park is simply stunning! It is outrageously picturesque.with its towering eucalyptus trees and an array of wildlife. Red*Tailed Hawks sore miles high after I mimic there screech...they sore around in unison gliding like a kite and then move on as the ravens come to disturb them out numbering them 10 to 1 After a good hike through numerous trails you can wash up at the newly renovated Gymnasium where their is all kinds of different activities full court basketball, indoor rock climbing, dodgeball pingpong& pickleball. Great place for kids!

This deep canyon, visible from the Miraloma area along O'Shaughnessy Boulevard in San Francisco, offers a peaceful retreat into nature. We enjoyed an easy 2.5-mile hike along the well-marked trails. It's an ideal spot for anyone seeking a relaxing walk while immersing themselves in the natural beauty of the park. It’s also a great place to walk your dog, and so far, there have been no coyote warnings. The hillside and trails are adorned with wild yellow flowers (field mustards), poppies, fire thorns, and other native plants that enhance the landscape. Apart from the park, it also has amenities like the recreational center, tennis courts, multi-purpose fields, a nursery Co-op school and playgrounds. The cooler weather makes this an ideal time for hiking, though it’s important to note that some areas might be slippery in colder season. Make sure to wear proper hiking shoes, especially on the higher trails. Playground: Available at the recreational center. Restrooms: Available at the recreational center. Dog-friendliness: Great place to walk your dogs! Picnic area: Available at the recreational center

Glen Canyon Park has Zeus’s favorite trails, nestled adjacent to a charming small park near Safeway. You will see some nice rock formations on trails. The park also offers a diverse range of recreational amenities including a recreation center, ball field, and tennis courts. Whether you're seeking a leisurely stroll or an invigorating hike, Glen Canyon Park promises a delightful escape into nature's embrace within the heart of the city. Restrooms: By the recreation center/ tennis course/ playground. Very clean. Dog-friendliness: Most popular dog walking trails in diamond heights.

Great hiking area with nice changes in elevation and foliage. The paths and steps/staircases have been improved recently which really helps if it’s wet and muddy out. Very popular place to take your dog. The tennis courts and playground area have been renovated and it quite nice.

Great park for a quick hike/jog or dog walk. Lots of native plants and rocky outcroppings and a creek, nice microclimate in the canyon, you can see the fog breaking up over your head while you're in the sun. Well maintained trail system with a lot of stairs to keep the heart pumping. Baseball diamond, playground and tennis courts at southern end of park, after school and summer programs for kids. Probably my favorite park in the city. Several entrances from the surrounding neighborhoods.

Just a great park. Always here for the tennis courts and hiking with my dog in the canyon. There's also a rec center and soccer field. The hiking trails are really pretty, with little hidden things to look out for like tiny fairy houses in tree trunks. Parking is a little tricky.

All the renovations over last many years are finally done and this park is beautiful. There are always a lot of people enjoying the park. There is a large playground for kids, two tennis courts, and trails in the canyon for dogs. (I've seen coyotes in the canyon so I recommend that you keep your dogs leashed on the trails.) I went to a birthday party here; the family rented one of the rooms in the rec center. The facilities are really nice and clean.

A lot bigger than it seems! It has two tennis courts, a baseball field, and a kickball field. There is also a jungle gym area for kids with swings as well as an indoor basketball court. Behind this area there are a bunch of trails to walk between easy and challenging difficulty. It's very nice and very clean. I plan to come by more.
Spencer Graham: ★★★★★
Grew up in this park and it's only getting more organized and safer. New lights, tennis courts, basketball facility and the new children's playground. Tons of space to play sports and two full baseball fields. An excellent place to take kids or dogs.
Dave Baker: ★★★★
Cool neighborhood park with a variety of areas. There are trails that are fairly flat and stay along the floor of the canyon, and others that go up and down the canyon and connect to other streets and Christopher playground. Has a large field and recently renovated playground and tennis courts. The main building is currently under renovation
Joshua Sagona: ★★★★★

One of the more picturesque parks in San Francisco.Supervised by the Department of Parks & Recreations Glen Park Canyon runs from the foot of O'Shaunessy to the top of Diamond Heights Boulevard. Here you will find huge eucalyptuses & various trees & plants of all sorts.Birds soar everywhere in the canyon including Falcons,Red-Tail Hawks,Crows,Bluejays,Sparrows& you can here the Woodpeckers on occasion. Bees & a load of other insects are all over the park so be careful & use caution.Coyotes are very rarely seen but they are here in the canyon too. Indoor 🏀 Basketball court, two tennis courts& two softball fields for use for those who play.(Please check with staff in the office)

Gorgeous setting for a wide variety of outdoor & indoor recreational activities for all ages. It has the only indoor climbing wall in San Francisco Parks. During the school year there is a coop preschool held here. The same facility also does double duty in the summer as a day camp. The fields are used for softball games for kids as well as adults, There also soccer games for young kids held here. The tennis courts here are very popular. People bring their dogs for off leash romps and walk or hikes on the various trails thru out the canyon that forms a part of the park. As if that weren't enough, during the summer the meadow in the park hosts the San Francisco Mime Troop for shows. There is a newly renovated recreation center where diffferent types classes for people of various ages are held & there are basketball courts which double as performance & meeting spaces. It is indeed a one of the best parks in the city!

Beautiful, spacious park. Tennis courts, children's playground. Lawn and forest. Walks. A must-do!
Anne Heit: ★★★★
This was my first time hiking here and it was a beautiful place. The trails should be better maintained, as there was overgrowth from plants on the trails, especially closer to the creek. There were beautiful purple wildflowers in bloom on the hillside in the grasses. The one thing that scared me was a coyote sighting in the afternoon. Fortunately, there were other people with me and the coyote eventually walked away after staring directly at me for a while. It was a good thing that there was a sign that described the different trails and level of difficulty. Easy, Moderate, and Challenging were the types of trails clearly labeled with a map. I started on the easy Gum Tree Girls Trail and connected to the moderate Islais Creek Trail.
Sandeepa Dey: ★★★★
We came here for an afternoon walk after lunch in the city. The walking trails are mostly flat with stairs here and there and the scenery is also great. There are trees ranging in size from gigantic to med sized to ground covers. We came during the rainy weeks and there were plenty of blooms and unusual lichens and mosses covering the ground and larger trees. The biodiversity in flora for a smallish park in the middle of urban is amazing. There is also a children’s park with play structures. Overall this is a nice place to spend a couple of hours in. Playground: Children’s playground with play structures present. Restrooms: Public restrooms available. Dog-friendliness: Good for dox walking

Glen Canyon Park Recreation Centre offers great outdoor trails and family-friendly facilities. It’s perfect for nature walks, sports, and community activities in a peaceful setting.

The little grassy knoll above the tennis courts is the best place for socially diatanced eating away from screaming kids and overeager dogs!
Vlasi Kalaitzi: ★★★★★
Best tennis court around! the only issue is the children’s playground next door, if a kid is having a tantrum it can be distracting. But the surface the wind protection and the lighting make it a very chill spot for getting your rally on.

Tennis courts are the best in the city. Very busy, can get kicked out of courts.
