WILSON PARK – PICKLEBALL/PADDLE TENNIS NETS:

The Wilson Park Pickleball/Paddle Tennis Nets have been giving us some issues in recent months. Today I was able to get both nets operational. When adjusting the posts for either sport PLEASE raise/lower them gently, do not bang them into position and do not overtighten the net tension. When releasing the net’s tension to reposition the posts, release just enough to raise/lower the post (then pull back and up at the same time). Too loose and the cable will get caught in the soft brass gear and jam the gears.
The Parks and Recreation department has received NEW net posts and crank mechanisms that should be more reliable. They are being modified to support Pickleball and Paddle Tennis. As soon as the modifications have been completed the new 😀posts will be installed.

I go to plat pickleball. They have 2 fulltime courts with lights. Good competition during the evening.

I play pickleball here 3-4 times a week. The people are horrible, not friendly and the line/wait system to play a game is rigged based on your play level. It sucks, do not come here, dont make friends here and do not play nice. I don't wanna see you here LOL
Angy K: ★★★★★

Very nice and relaxing park Nice to take a walk, play tennis, pickleball, baseball, etc. There's lots of things to do there. Nice for the family as well. Also, they have farmers market on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

While visiting Torrance, my partner and I wanted to play some pickleball. We gave Wilson Park a shot, and I'm glad we did. There were two fenced-in, dedicated pickleball courts that were both in excellent condition. The play was very organized and orderly, and the regulars were friendly. We got to play a couple of games, and had a great time. There were two benches, and a lot of folks brought their own chairs. I didn't see a lot of the park but it seemed pretty clean and there were a ton of activities available. If I lived around here, I would frequent Wilson Park - nice spot!
TLC Creates: ★★★★★
Nice Certified Farmers Market every Saturday & Tuesday. Also has a long walking path, with all kinds of sports activities like pickleball, hockey, & batting range etc. This is a full service park with lots to do for both children and adults. But my favorite is the Farmers Market. Playground: Yes, it's a big play ground. Restrooms: Yes. Dog-friendliness: Yes, I see many pets from big and small. You are not supposed to bring them to the farmers market. Picnic area: Plenty of grass areas for blankets. Not sure about the picnic tables.
Nghia Huynh: ★★★★★
Amazing public park with all the activities you can think of! They have basketball, pickleball, tennis, baseball, hockey, body weight training, kids playground, running and more!
Jamie Fox: ★★★★★
My favorite place to get in my walks. The exercise machines are a bonus. Always something fun happening there. Tennis, pickleball, Zuma class.
johnathan lee: ★★★★★
I play pickleball there and the people are amazing! They love to battle on the court but treat everyone like family. Very very welcoming, old school values not seen that often today!

This area is very versatile, featuring a baseball field, tennis and pickleball courts, grassy spaces, a walking track, barbecue areas with plenty of tables, restrooms, basketball courts, a baseball cage, and a roller hockey rink……Hmm What am I missing? Playground: They have a playground for kids. Restrooms: There are 2 outdoor restrooms. Picnic area: Barbeque, plenty of tables

I like to take walks. Nice big enough track to do laps. There’s a softball and baseball field, basketball field, two pickleball courts (usually a long line during the week nights, and soccer areas. There’s an indoor red room. Pretty spacious and lots of parking. The place is perfect for Pokémon Go. Tons of pokestops. There’s 3 full basketball courts. (night so well for night time). There’s two full pickleball courts and three full tennis courts. Playground: There’s nice big playground in the upper middle of the park.
Jamie Heimforth: ★★★★★
One of the most family friendly parks I know of. Park offers something for all ages. Plenty of parking. Baseball, baseball, soccer, pickleball, picnic tables, walking/running track, fitness equipment, plus much more.
Steve Alta: ★★★★★
Huge patk and sports complex. Tennis, pickleball, walking, paths, covered sports area for hockey I believe. Batting cages and more. Lots of parking. The only down side is it gets full and restrooms need a redo and more frequent attention.
Benjamin H: ★★★★
Great park. Facilities are nice and we have always felt safe here with our family. We've enjoyed the playgrounds, pickleball courts, walking path, and open green spaces for frisbee/whiffleball/soccer/football. I've generally seen people handle their dogs well. There is ample parking. Only complaint is that there is a good amount of trash after the farmer's markets held on Saturdays. Wish the city would do more to either get them to be responsible for the litter, or otherwise pay to have it cleaned up better/sooner.
Jeff Liwag: ★★★★★
This park has tennis courts, pickleball/racquetball courts, basketball courts (covered and otherwise), a batting cage, outdoor gym equipment, walking trails, picnic tables, playground, plenty of parking spots, and so much more
Olivia Luther: ★★★★★
This place is a great place for everyone. They have new playground equipment, a splash pad (currently not open), an outdoor workout circuit, batting cages, hockey/skate rink, tennis and pickleball courts and the best farmers market on Saturday and Tuesday.
Judy Clavin: ★★★★★

Rick Kim: ★★★★★
Probably the best public park in the City of Torrance. Many recreational facilities available from batting cages, roller hockey, a gymnasium, and fields for softball. Courts for tennis, picklebal, basketball, and fulsal. The children's playground area is well maintained and designed for safe play. Large picnic area for group gatherings. Great walking/jogging path on the perimeter of the park. Lots of parking except when they have a farmers market on Saturday mornings, the Tuesday one is less crowded.
Jazmin: ★★★★★
An amazing park, so many things to do there. Farmers market on Saturdays and Tuesdays has really good food, tennis courts are nice and it's a good place to walk

Lini Hani: ★★★★
It's a fair sized park with ample parking spaces. On Tue & Sat mornings there is a Farmer's Market with lots of food trucks (especially on Sat). Hiking, jogging, play ground, water spouts, roller rink, batting cages, baseball diamond, tennis courts, BBQ pits, and picnic areas round out this park. Playground: Plenty of equipment to keep kids busy and entertained. Restrooms: A public restroom for the park. Dog-friendliness: Lots of dogs are being led on leash. Picnic area: Plenty of table bench for diners.
Yü Wu: ★★★★★
This is a great park that has a wide variety of recreation facilities. Two big baseball fields with four diamonds, tennis courts, baseball courts, picnic area, but also sports complex building that aren't common in other smaller rec centers. What I like the most though, is that when I visit the park on a Sunday morning, there were people everywhere, in the fields, along the trail. I love it when a park is there for people.

Daniel Bennett: ★★★
It was very crowded but it seems for such a crowded park that it's at least not totally filthy. There is a lot of small trash but that's pretty normal for a heavily populated park. I'm not from the area, heck, I'm not even from the same state. But, it was at least nice to see family again. Playground: There's a lot of them, but there's also a lot of people as well. Restrooms: The restrooms are heavily used but they have them. Picnic area: The tables were clean but there's a lot of people.
Paige Okada: ★★★
I only come here on Saturdays, sometimes Tuesdays for the Farmer’s Market. Parking is the worst; especially for handicapable folks. The vendors should not be allowed to park there (and they take up more than one space and the handicapped spaces (they don’t have placards). Sometimes I just leave because I have to park so far away and I am unable to get to the market to walk around after walking so far from the parking down the block. Was really upset with the Cortez booth. They were the first place I went to and they were kind enough to hold onto my produce but I asked them to leave the tops on the carrots and beets. They are edible and I use them. I also bought a 3-pack of strawberries. When I came back to pick them up and got home, they had torn off the carrot and beets tops, plus they tossed the 3-pack of strawberries in the same bag (I originally had them separately) and they were sideways and smashed against the other vegetables. Are they so cheap that they had to save that really crummy bag and smashed my produce? Had to toss at least 1-1/2 baskets out. So mad! I will never spend my money there again. I will use Hayashi or another vendor. The Salsa vendor was rude and really acts like he doesn’t need your business. He only had hot or mild and since he makes it on site, I figured that mixing the two to make a medium would be no problem. He blew his top telling me I would be ruining his “secret” recipe. If that’s the case, post a sign so people don’t wait in line for nothing; especially when you have a walker! The egg vendor is always great as is the bison people. I bought 2 zucchini plants. We’ll see how it grows. I used to enjoy my Saturdays here but it’s going downhill. The best thing I bought was the Hayashi produce and the Torrance Farmer’s Market canvas bag. Always enjoy the popcorn.

This use to be a great park worth the extra drive for us but recently it has gone down hill. There are a lot of homeless around the rest room area and they are taking up room in the tree house. The restrooms, at least the mens room is disgusting to say the least. I am surprised how bad its getting there especially being in torrance.
Jamie Morris: ★★★
This park used to be wonderful. Had a pond where ducks and turtles would hang out and had a skate park, it's changed so much now because people are stupid with fear and do nothing against actions that require a consequence outside of that, it's a park. Go jogging, walking, do some practice swings at the batting cages, etc.
sabrina romero: ★★★
The park itself was very nice, but the women bathrooms were terrible. I suggest you go in pairs so you have something blocking you when doing your business. They have no stall doors, the only one with a door was handicapped but still the lock was broken, no soap for washing hands, the toilet paper was difficult to get out of the dispenser. Also floors were a little dirty from ripped toilet paper just thrown on the floor.

I absolutely love this park. I've came here as a kid and over the years it's changed and has gotten even better. But when I come to the park for the farmers market I come to enjoy the atmosphere the people the food the fresh veggies and fruits... not be met with a guy yelling on a loud speaker shoving Christianity down people's throats. I'm just trying to enjoy the nice weather and watch people practice in the fields. I seen a few babies crying as the mom's walked past poor babies got scared of all the yelling of hell this and hell that. Such a lovely day just let it be just that.

Wilson Park use to be upscale now it's like every other park due to the weeds that have overgrown in the park. Fox tails can hurt dogs 🐶 …
Ken “Famcelesten” L: ★
I would give no star if I could. Park dirty overall and specially bathroom was so dirty that looked like it wasn't cleaned for very long time.
Daniel Simon: ★
The entire Street of 223rd is full of giant potholes just lost my wheels my rims and my tires last time I go to the city of Torrance
K Nag: ★★
I shop at the mushroom specialty store (radicle roots) at the farmers market on tuesdays and saturdays .and i think these mushrooms are the best of best in LA. I used to walk my pet mini pig almost everyday .and suddenly we were kicked out. My pig is an indoor pig .and she has a bathe everyday .vaccinate every year. and she is perfectly healthy . I think this is discrimination. Dog-friendliness: some dogs owners do not pic up their dogs poop, so i have stepped on it while walking
Lady Mermaid: ★★
Not the best place for dogs because many do not restrain their aggressive dogs. And it is squirrel city here so your dog will be constantly agitated. And the non dog humans seem to hate all dogs
Mo Mo: ★★
Good park, but needs major work on bathrooms and such. Besides that the play area and Farmers Market is good here.
Dan Ledur: ★★
Br carefull if you take a walk at night. No lights at the park. Also using drugs on the parking lot
