I had an amazing time playing pickleball for the first time! The players were so friendly and welcoming, and I can't wait to go back for more.

Great trails. Clean bathrooms. Also has tennis courts. If you hike north toward the water tower you will see a cool convertible that somehow went off the cliff years ago followed by great views of the valley below and my baldy further north in the distance. If you continue hiking west you can see dtla on a clear day in the distance.

Small park in Walnut off of Amar rd. While cycling I came across this well maintained park alongside Westhoff Elementary School. Equiped with two picnic tables and restrooms, has a small kids playground and one large baseball field fenced off.. plenty of parking.. there's also walking trails that extends in the nearby hills .. and tennis courts..ivr decided to make this one of my rest stops while cycling up in Walnut hills.

Pickleball review: - 4 pickleball courts (2 next to each other, separated by fence with the other 2) - Public open play, single queue system (instead of each court having its own paddle queue); meaning regardless of which court finishes first, the next 4 paddles in the queue will get on - Level of play is around 3.5 and lower, even in the evenings, so not really any advanced (4.0+) level play here - Closes for the night at 10pm (despite the sign saying 9pm) - Closed for maintenance on Tuesdays 12pm-3pm - This place can get very busy in the evenings (36+ paddles in queue), so be prepared for 25+ min wait on average - Bring a seat (and a book 😂) if you wanna sit while waiting - People are generally nice Have fun pickling!

Well kept fields, and easy to access. But geez the bathrooms are bad.

The park environment is very good, but the tennis court is occupied by some Taiwanese elderly people who are not working on weekends. Others can't play at all. I hope the park management can manage it.
