Beautiful place to play tennis or pickle ball, most of the time it’s available, and the good thing is, it’s free

Great place to hang out with friends. Has a nice field, playground, basketball court, and many pickleball quarts.

Love the park

Beautiful with plenty of picnic space (covered tables and grassy knolls) and bathrooms. Tennis courts and pickleball nice enough - but pickleball community doesn't have rotation, people are allowed to stay on the courts 1-2 ho7rs or so even with people waiting. Wild west there. Homeless people seem to hang out but not in large numbers... we liked walking our dogs there and the water fountains work.
Hani Sidhom: ★★★★
The pickleball crowd at the courts is very friendly. The nets were recently updated. The court grounds are in decent shape but could use some updating.
Connie Jay: ★★★★★
A nice sized local park that is very clean and nice. Lots of grass and trees and places to walk. We had 2 large dogs with us. Be sure and bring your pickleball paddle as they have a number of courts! Playground: Beautiful playground with a number of equipment for all ages. Restrooms: Very clean. Not your pit toilets! Dog-friendliness: Dogs are allowed on the trails and all over the park. We had 2 large dogs with us

Fun Pickleball court. Plenty of parking. Easy to get to off of interstate 5
Teeto Cheema: ★★★★
Great park except for all the pickle ball noise. Was so much better when the courts were only for tennis.
Don Leming: ★★★★★
Nice park. Sad that pickleball has taken over all the tennis courts.

This small park is a great spot to relax and spend a little time with your pup and family. Tennis/Pickle ball courts if you're into that, playground for the littles with plenty of surrounding lawn to grab a little shade and enjoy. With bridges over and near the little creek, nature walking through this park is relaxing and enjoyable. Close to the beach yet tucked away in your own little environment to be away. 1 Gazebo Covered Picnic Space. Dog friendly. Parking lot is small. Playground: Great little playground. Climber, swings and benches nearby for parents, what more do you need. Restrooms: Decent restrooms 👍🏻 With soap and air dryer. Dog-friendliness: Great park for your fur babies. Spacious lawn, short trails in and around the park.(Access to the street) Picnic area: There are benches here and there throughout the park as well as beautiful trees to lay down your picnic blankets and enjoy 😊

This is a great little park. They have a nice playground area and pickle ball and basketball courts. There are walking paths all around the park that I used for my walk and would also be great for toddlers walking or on ride-on toys. The bathroom is your basic park bathroom, but stocked with toilet paper and soap. I really liked the hand dryer; it was powerful and warm, which was very welcome on the chilly day that I visited. Playground: The playground is large, including swings, but not so spread out to make watching your kids difficult. Restrooms: The restrooms are basic but stocked. The hand dryers are great. Dog-friendliness: I saw people with dogs on- and off-leash. Picnic area: There are several spots with picnic tables, and I noticed at least one grill.

We enjoyed the gazebo and playground for a birthday party. The grass areas were well maintained and the playground was spacious and clean. The bathrooms were a mess tho. Toilet paper everywhere. The downfall was limited parking/small parking lot. There were pickleball groups and other families at the playground. And there is only one gazebo from what I could see, so you have to get there early if you want to claim it.

Super fun for pickleball! Saturday mornings are very busy, arrive by 8:00 if you want to get a court without waiting.
Anthony P: ★★★★★
This place is great and it has a little bit of everything. From hiking paths and huge grassy areas to take your dogs, to pickle ball courts and basketball hoops to play on. Hands down this is the best park in the area.
Gene Lee: ★★★★★
Beautiful park in Encinitas with a playground, 2 basketball nets and a tennis court. We played Pickleball here and the people are friendly. There are usually 4 Pickleball courts and one tennis court.
Melissa De Yoe (Meli55a): ★★★★★
Beautiful little park and courts. Super busy weekend mornings around 9 am in the tennis (/pickleball) courts but it usually drops off a lot as the day progresses. There's a nice gazebo for parties, bathrooms, basketball half court, and large grassy areas with a little natural perimeter. Even though it's right off some busy roads, it's quiet and spacious.

Had fun playing Pickleball. Beautiful Park. Playground: Kids playground. Restrooms: Yes. Picnic area: Yes. Grass and picnic tables.

Sorry guys,, no photos this time. For being in the middle of suburbia, this part surprised me with how nice it was, how clean, and how remote woodsy type it was. It almost felt like I was back up in a Seattle area park. It's not that huge of a park but it has a creek and plenty of trees that hide it from residential area in the north, the commercial area to the East and South, and roads all around. You can't even tell that your near all that, once your in the park. Very cool. Has plenty of grassy lawn areas, nice shade trees, open areas, play ground/ fitness areas, super clean bathrooms and even pickle ball courts in the back. Very cool. A great place to just chill for lunch or a picnic when I'm in the Encinitas area and don't feel like hanging out at the beach.

This is a cool park tucked away with a pickleball area in the corner of the park beyond the playground & restrooms . It didn't seem like a lot of parking for how big the space was. Playground: sandy playground with bouldering and traditional playground with swings and monkey bars and a jungle gym. Restrooms: Yes. Dog-friendliness: I saw dogs. Picnic area: There are two designated picnic areas. One is a tucked away deck picnic area away from the playground set off from the walking trail towards the lower Eastside of the park. Close to the parking lot and the higher flat grass area there's a gazebo covered area with a grill and permanent picnic tables.

Tucked into the corner of Vulcan and Encinitas Blvd. this park has beautiful trees, clean bathrooms, tennis and pickleball courts plus swinsets and a basketball court. I hosted my son's 11th birthday party here since they have plenty of tables and even a mountain to climb. It sounds big but it's not, very cute and well-maintained. There is an attendent that live on the gorunds which make for a very safe enviroment even though there is some homelessness, no one ever makes you feel uncomfortable.

Cottonwood Park in Encinitas is absolutely delightful. It has a riparian stream that was formerly up until 1932 the soul water source for the small city of. In the 1980s they began work to turn this piece of land into the lovely neighborhood park that it is today. Lots of options available from barbecuing parties tennis court large playground walking trails educational and historical monuments. biggest complaint is that the parking has zero shade Android limited handicap parking. Playground: Is large well-built very modern perfect for all children. Restrooms: There's a stand-alone large cement set of restrooms that are maintained and kept clean. Dog-friendliness: Unfortunately there is no fenced area for pooches. However there are numerous delightful Trails lots of shade trees and cement walk as well as well manicured lawns. Picnic area: There are multiple well-kept picnic areas most of them are on the sun however there is a large gazebo that would easily host a family party of 30 in the 5 or 6 picnic tables

This is such a great park. Great for all ages, and lots of activities spread about the park. It's great. It has a fun rock to climb, basketball and tennis courts, a large playground, a walking path, plenty of shade if you need to escape the sun, and fairly clean community bathrooms. It does have some homeless people who are scattered about, but I would consider this park pretty clean and safe. Plus, this is a great spot to host parties in public spaces. Playground: It's a relatively new playground design with mostly plastic materials and interactive elements for kids. Restrooms: Fairly clean bathrooms for both male and female genders. Dog-friendliness: Unsure. Picnic area: Multiple picnic tables around the park, but one very nice large picnic area withstand is shaded under a built gazebo.

Exploring different parks is exciting. Clean, family and pet friendly, has tennis court, basket ball court and hiking trails through our park. What was really COOL, as you cross the small bridges the creek flowing underneath bridges, THE WATER WAS CLEAR 😃👍. You could see the bottom. I was impress. 👍

Play structures are awesome. A little bit sketchy down near the creek bed. Has a bathroom for the kiddo so that's a plus too. Nice rock climbing wall, tennis courts, basketball court, and grass areas. Gazebo is good for kid parties, just reserve through city for nominal fee.
Jon Stein: ★★★★★
Quiet park with plenty of parking, public restrooms, hiking trails, playground for different age ranges (including a faux climbing boulder) and tennis courts.

Cottonwood Creek Park is a charming place to for a picnic! It was incredibly busy on a Tuesday morning with mommy & me music and yoga classes on the lawns, preschool groups, and other families playing on the playground. There is a well-maintained dirt trail that runs along the creek for about 1/4 of a mile. It continues on to a less-maintained dirt trail that runs right along the 5 freeway so that part makes it not a very tranquil walk. This part of the trail is undergoing maintenance so it looks like a mess right now. When the habitat restoration is complete, it will be a lot more enjoyable. I took our Bob jogging stroller on it but because there is so much debris on the trail it was very bumpy with a stroller. Total distance of the trail is about 3/4 of a mile. 📍95 N Vulcan Ave, Encinitas, CA 92024 🚙Limited free parking in lot & on the street 💰This park is free 🎠The play structure has a rubber/san ground surface and there are both standard and bucket swings 🚽Restrooms 🧺Picnic tables scattered around the park. Some under gazebo 🍔Large charcoal grill under gazebo 🪑Park benches at playground 🏖Playground is close to the beach 🖼Large lawns 🌳A couple shady trees but the playground is very sunny 🌟Clean grounds 🛣Far from busy roads 🥾Dirt hiking trail 🚲Paved path where kids can ride small bikes and scooters 🚂Train nearby (we saw two while we were there) 🏀2 half basketball courts 🎾Tennis courts

Love this park, it's it favorite! It has a great big playground for kids and a climbing rock, tennis courts, basketball court, big grass fields to run in, picnic tables, all set next to a tiny creek that has some bridges to walk over.
Ashlyn Armstrong: ★★★★
It's a very beautiful park, allows dogs, has a couple tennis courts, a basketball court, bathrooms, and gazebo with picnic tables. It's very good for kids, especially since there are usually quite a few of them. There are also quite a few weekly events for homeless and low income to get a meal which is also very nice. The only downside is there isn't a very big parking lot, but besides that its fantastic.
Lilian Moreno: ★★★★★
