Wow. Piedmont has the bucks to do it right. They are graciously allowing pickleball for 2.5 hours on Fridays. There is a water fountain and a bathroom next to the courts.

During pickleball open play hours it's typically such a fun and welcoming group of players. But Warning: this is a high level of play and I had to run my legs off..be prepared to move!

Really nice baseball field with a combo of turf and real grass. Basketball courts and tennis courts in the back, as well as a wall to practice hitting tennis balls. Benches throughout for parents to keep an eye out and there is a bathroom. Street parking only.

A really nice place to relax or get active...if you can find it! Even though I have spent most of my adult life in the East Bay and more so Oakland, I still get lost in Piedmont all the time. This park is on the corner of Hampton Rd and LaSalle. Parking is scarce and hilly, as is all parking in that area. A smaller sized baseball field, for kids really. A couple of tennis courts with a few practice walls and some basketball courts tucked way into the back. Nice and clean bathrooms are a huge plus for this place. A nice place to take the kids on a Sunday. Small enough to get real crowded, real quick though.

After dinner, we managed to get caught up in one of the worse commute traffic that I've been in in a long while. That doesn't really say much since I rarely leave my house during normal business hours. I decided to find a detour to kill some time because I knew that we could be sitting in that traffic for a good 1.5-2 hours, minimum. Such a terrible waste of time! We ended up at this park because it has a toddlers's playground for my 3-year old daughter and a basketball court for my son & his cousin. We showed up at around 6:15 PM on Tuesday, October 15th, and there were a lot of kids on the soccer field. I guess they were in the middle of soccer practice or a game. There was also a bunch of teenagers on the tennis court taking lessons. Luckily, the basketball courts were empty so the boys had the whole place to themselves. My daughter was also the only toddler on the play structure most of the time. Only 1 kid came by and left after a few minutes of playing. It's a nice field, everything seemed well kept. My nephew said he used the bathroom and it was nasty so I didn't bother going. But then again, you can't really expect too much from a bunch of little boys. So glad we found this spot by chance, even though we couldn't stay more than half an hour as it got dark & cold by around 6:45 PM.

The only downside is that the courts can get busy during peak hours and one of the shorter hoops was broken, but overall, it’s a solid place to play
