Good park for all the age groups. Lots of grounds for different games and you spend day time and have separate option for eating and BBQ

Neat little dog park. Pretty easy to find as you see the dog prints near the parking lot. Lots of grass and pretty spacious even tho as someone mentioned the large dog area is in a T shape next to the tennis courts. Seems like a good use of extra space. As another reviewer also mentioned it seems they don’t come daily to clean the park as the trash cans were full and the dispensers were empty but saving that there was only a little bit of poop someone didn’t seem to pick up near the entrance of the dog park. There are also shaded tables on each end of the large dog side and other benches spread out in the middle. I didn’t explore the rest of the park. It it also seemed very clean and full of plush grass if you decide to walk around (which I have not done yet). Also parking is very ample!

Garvey Park is a well maintained and family oriented small-midsize park in SG Valley. No sketchy homeless folks around the park. It’s located in a good working middle class neighborhood. This park has plenty of amenities such as Tennis Courts, Baseball Fields, Fitness Zones, Picnic Tables, Children's Play Areas, Swimming Pools, Splash Pads, Gymnasiums and Restrooms. Parking lot is small, however, ample of street parking. Overall, it’s a good park to chill, enjoy family picnic and play sports.

Got my first puppy who coincidentally happened to be born right around the same time this place opened. Gotta say it's my favorite, not only because it's the closest and most convenient dog park near the house; but also because it has a nice design. First off, it shares a fence with tennis courts which means a steady supply of free tennis balls for the pups which is giving engineering at it's best. As well, the small and larger dog sections are both fairly substantial for the modest amount of space they had to work with. The two sections are also separated by a chain link fence with a wooden base board to encourage friendly interaction but still limit any unwanted unfriendliness. My dog is larger but gentle and so a puppy so with the consent of any owners there, I can usually enjoy both sides. Because of course with a public dog park the only real downside is when you get a bad dog owner but as long as you watch your dog and don't just start playing on your phone it's usually nothing too bad. Also some people suck so you do need to watch out for the occasional landmine of abandoned poop but I will say it's not that bad and if probably better than most averages. It seems like the city does a good job maintaining it, keeping it stocked with free poop bags emptying the trash and cleaning up after most of the aforementioned landmine leavers. It does seem like the park keeps on having one area become a bit muddy even without rain so I wonder if there is an issue to be addressed with the sprinklers or drainage. But that's a mild concern and the excellent water bowl, fountain and bottle filling stations are so good! Will stay a go to of mine

A small park with picnic tables, restrooms, fitness area, tennis courts, and grassy area for other sports. I saw this very sweet cat here and I found my ultimate happiness :)
