PICKLEBALL COURTS
In Spring 2017, the courts were resurfaced for the game of Pickleball and are locked to protect them from other uses. To open the lock on the Pickleball Courts (on the bocce court-side), use the code “RIDER”.

Updated September 2019: A new gate has been added to the Pickleball Courts at Lincoln Park. To open this gate, enter 074337* and wait for about one second until a green light illuminates. Then turn the handle and open. If you wait too long to turn and open (about 3 seconds), it will “time out” and you will have to repeat the process. Please note that this is in addition to the existing lock code at the gate nearest to the Bocce Courts. That code remains “RIDER”.

For assistance or additional information regarding the Pickleball Courts, contact Joey Carroll, Recreation Supervisor I, at +1 510-747-7555 or email jcarroll@alamedaca.gov.

Vibrant park that has added a new structure recently. This park sets itself apart from other Alameda parks with its large trees that provide shade throughout, it also has a popular pickle ball court and lots of private space to rent, including a closed off bocce ball court with BBQ. Parking can be a challenge if you come later, and the entrance to the lot is off of Fernside. Street parking is best off of High street.

Lincoln Park is a great place to hang out. It has a new play structure, an outside gym- workout space. Baseball field, basketball court, tennis and pickleball courts, bacci ball, and a pool. But the pool is "members only". You have to be an Alameda resident to join. There's some onsite parking, There's a large group picnic area and a rec center folks can reserve for parties. There's also a large grassy area people use for soccer, volleyball, Frisbee, running around or flying a kite. Playground: Newer climb structure has been installed. Restrooms: They're about what you'd expect from a public bathroom. Most the time they have toilet paper, but you might want to carry tissues to hedge your bet. Picnic area: BBQ pits onsite
Michael Hutch: ★★★★★
Nice park, tennis courts for pickleball, full basketball court that's asphalt but fairly even and smooth, baseball field, boccie ball. Restrooms , evening is well kept
Kristen Garvine: ★★★★★
Baseball field, basketball, pickleball, huge grass areas, flowers, & a workout space. Great fun for everyone. Playground: Super fun with both slides & swings for older & younger kids.
Deborah M: ★★★★
It's a fun park for children. When my children were young we went here and had lunch there too. I took my grandson here recently to show him where his great grandmother's use to come. He enjoy himself very. He wants to return. Great park.
N'Dozie Matingou: ★★★★★
Very well done park! Nice new structure. There's a structure for older kids and for tots. Lots of options for all ages. Bocce ball court, wall ball court, baseball field, outdoor fitness park and pickleball courts. Picnic tables and small parking lot. Public gender specific bathrooms available. There's also a pool although not sure of the hours of operation.
Ricky Jaeger: ★★★★
Nice park, lots of facilities, amenities, and varied landscaping (i.e not just endless lawns). Includes basketball courts, Very limited parking, but it is a neighborhood park anyway. Delightful place. HOWEVER. The bocce court was CLOSED and PADLOCKED. WHY. The League wasn't playing. Why the eight foot bars and the chains and padlock, guys. Nobody's going to steal the oyster shells. It's not like public pools shut down whenever water polo teams aren't practicing. It's not like the tennis courts are locked up whenever instructors aren't using it. It's a public park, for crying out loud, what makes bocce so special? Let me bowl. LET ME BOWL. Stop hogging the facilities and let me bowl. Free the bocce. Bocce for the people!
Lisa Simmons: ★★★★★
I was so surprised that this park was so nice there is a play structure, tennis courts, basketball courts, bocce ball, 6 swings, a smaller toddler play structure, BBQ picnic area, bathrooms and a exercise area (there is so much more).. the one downfall was that it was windy and there was so much dust in the wood chips flying in my face!
