You only need a participant ID card to play, if you don't have one it only cost $17 for a year, free for veterans, and free for seniors 50+. The Downtown Recreation Center is home to adult and youth open gym, gymnastic classes, teen program, and BeFit Basketball and Cheer practices. The employees are amazing, the grounds are clean and there's plenty of parking. They have many programs and things to do here. You will have to come visit to appreciate! I'm impressed mostly by the staff who are outstanding!! They are friendly and helpful. Theres classes you can enroll in and a teen camp during the summer. Fun for the entire family, pet friendly and lots of things to do without spending any money! This is so helpful in today's economy!

The Costa Mesa downtown rec center is nice. I teach archery in the back but they have a great teens program and a nice basketball court. I have never seen the pool, but there are always a lot of kids during the summer.
