Best Tennis courts in Newport Beach, Orange County for 2026

Very nice, not to many people on the beach. Lots of surfers, but they stay out further in the water. Big rocks to walk on or fish off of, that extend about 30-40 meters into the ocean. A nice park with hand-ball courts, tennis courts, a kiddie park, and little dog park with bags area. That's where you park to $1.75 per hour on weekends. Overall, a pleasuring place to be.

Been playing tennis here since the 70's. Great location & recently upgraded facilities. Newport Beach is really good about maintaining & upgrading their public parks. Restrooms: Probably the best public restrooms you'll find anywhere

I really like the location of this park. It’s one of the best kept secrets in the area for being able to access the beach change clothes and clean off in a fairly effective way. It is somewhat amusing that the tennis courts next to the park have a sign up that says that you are not allowed to grow into grown or making those noises. The majority of the tennis players I know rent and grown so I am not sure why the sign exists in less the residents have complained about this problem in the past. The park is small but it is very convenient.

Sleepy park just off the PCH adjacent to a quiet cozy community nestled near the beach. Plenty of picnic tables, sufficient shade after about 3pm most days. There are a few tennis walls and a basketball hoop as well.

We visited the park for the tennis courts during spring break and were lucky that they were available during our visit. There's 4 tennis courts total and there's a divider fence between the courts to prevent stray balls from crossing over. One court had a little damage on it by the baseline, but the other 3 were in great condition. The court paint was in pretty good shape. There's a small playground for the kids and racquetball/handball courts at this park. The park's assigned parking lot is not free. You have to download an application to pay and our hourly rate this visit was $2.10. However, if you get lucky there's plenty of free parking on the side street adjacent to the park. The park is right by the ocean so expect some humidity which is just fine with me. If we're back in the area and looking to hack away some balls, West Newport Park is our first choice. Serve em up!

Little local park with handball, tennis court, and playground. Brought my elementary school kids there and they got bored after about 20 minutes just bc it’s so tiny. Clean, well maintained, but definitely good for short play dates or for little ones. Also...street is one way! Found that out the hard way while leaving haha.

Great place to groove ur tennis swing, on 2 separate concrete tennis practice walls. A superb half court hoop, and four 9+ (out of 10) tennis courts. Kids jungle gym playground 30 steps from tennis courts. Free parking lot and public restrooms. 1/4 block from lifeguard chair #56. This place has it all...

Decent park if you are in the area and depending on what you want to do. if you kids as well as the the time/energy I would head to the new Marina Park. For handball, well there is not other park in the area. Nice to have 4 tennis courts as well!

A block from the ocean, this is a hidden gem park. Little tricky to get too because of the one-way street it's on. Other than that, it has one half basketball court with nice green tar. The height of the hoop seems official as it is a bit high for a small kid to play at, but my 9 y/o still enjoyed it. The park has 4 racketball courts and there are tennis courts too, I couldn't see inside them because they are surrounded by a green wrap, so that adds for privacy, I think theres at least 2 courts. Adjacent to all is a fun playground for little kids and parking

Cute play structure for the kids. A nice person even left a cigarette with a note. There's a tennis court and lots of dragonflies. Zoom in and you can see the dragonfly.

Adore this hidden gem for playing tennis! There are courts and individual mini courts where you can hit against the backboard or play handball or whatever. Absolutely adore it.

Four tennis courts across from beach. Good condition. Resurfaced within last year or two.

Love the beaches here as they were crowded like other ones around the coast.

Although free street parking can be tight, this is a lovely beach for a run, surfing or volleyball. Bring your net. Restrooms: Generally clean and well kept up.

Been coming hwre for decades and it keep getting better. Clean beaches and never really crowded.

Playground: new, multiple. Restrooms: new. Dog-friendliness: yes. most people who use this thin long park use it as a place to walk their dogs in fact. but they must be on a leash. Picnic area: yes, multiple. but this is a thin long park it is not a big park. it is half of a block to the beach however -- so if you don't want to have a sandy picnic, this is the place to picnic while also spending time at the beach. there are metered parking lots if the free spaces are taken.

This is one of the nicest beaches that i've been to. We parked at the park and took the short walk of a hundred yards to the beach. The sand is gorgeous and the water is wonderful. Our kids love the beach. The park is nice and includes some fun amenities.

This is right where we park at 56th Street. Best place for surf, sand, and sunsets!! Favorite spot! Playground: Small playground for kids to play. Restrooms: Convenient restrooms

Small very clean park within 1000 ft of the beach. Payed parking lots free parking on street. Playground: Clean grounds. Restrooms: Clean restrooms

Beach was pristine. Easy parking in the late afternoon.

Nice mini park. I take a small breaks here and never saw any issues. You can watch the e-bikes on parade all summer long here from the picnic tables. It is clean and safe to have a picnic here.

Easy access to and from the beach. I'd recommend getting to there early to get a parking spot. Bathroom facilities are well maintained and easily accessible. Great location and easy to get to. This park is safe and great to spend time at. It's also a short 3 minute walk from the surf.

Man what a great find!! Dog Friendly. Small But enjoy!!🐕🐿🤗 Dog-friendliness: The Parking was limited. But bring your Dogs. And Have a Great Time. On Leashes only..! But a Longer Leash is Cool. Picnic area: Make your own picnics. It's more of a Pack in place. It becomes your little Haven🐿🐕
